Even though there was a constant stream of cars in and out, it wasn't too noisy. It was clean (as usual) and they even provided a large garbage can for each reserved site. There was only one small issue we ran into. This location didn't have a check-in option from our email confirmation, so we had to use the kiosk, which is no big deal but the kiosk required a passcode. The Love's employee came out to help. They said that some customers log out of the iPad completely, not knowing they don't need to. Again, not a big deal but being able to check-in from our confirmation email is a plus. We have been keeping an eye on the new RV Hookup locations popping up and planning our travels accordingly. It's nice to be able to fuel up and stay after a long day.

They're reasonably priced, quiet, and beautiful!!! One thing that was good for me about this park was their outstanding internet for their guests that they did not charge for!!! My children could stream their devices and I could stream mine for work purposes. They keep the park up very well and no one bothers you. We would have stayed but I needed to be in Florida for work and to find a park that had more amenities for small children. I absolutely loved the staff here!!! You will not meet nicer people!!!

The white sandy beach was definitely the highlight of our trip. A few things that could be improved: The check-in process was a little slow because there was only one person at the front desk during check-in time. Having two people there would probably help. Also, most of the dining options on the base close around 2 PM Monday through Friday, and even restaurants outside the base seemed to close around 6 PM, so plan accordingly. We did have a few unexpected visitors -- carpenter ants (about 2 cm in size) came into our room three different times. Maybe it was because our room was close to the palm trees, but it was something to be aware of. The shower water pressure was a little weak, but overall it wasn't a big issue. Since the room has a kitchen, next time we'll probably bring some groceries and enjoy more meals there. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back!

The hotel is in high demand, so I highly recommend booking well in advance. The rooms are very basic but some of them do include a small kitchen area. There is also a pool connected to the hotel but it is only open during the summer season, so please keep that in mind. In the mornings they also offer a complimentary continental breakfast until 9am. However the best thing about this Navy Lodge is that all rooms face east, offering an amazing sunrise view from your hotel room every morning. The beach is just a few steps away from their garden which is very convenient. The beach itself is really clean and has many seashells. However, do keep in mind that there are no trash cans on the beach so I would recommend bringing a trash bag with you.

But even without AC, once the sun went down, it cooled down enough to sleep in the evening, and wake up in the middle of the night to watch the sky from the star-gazing field a short walk from our site. The best part was probably the 4 camp kittens. They were very friendly and funny, and will be for sure going back later in the year, when it is a little bit cooler, to see how they kittens are growing.

The folks who work at the campground; Charleen, Kelly & Rudy were just the most welcoming & warm people we've come across in a while. Check in/out was super easy, firewood that you purchase is delivered right to your cabin. Theres a shop with lots of things if you forgot anything & really pretty reasonably priced. Plus there's dvds you can just check in or out for free. Theres an adorable patio off the main building where we had a blast playing battleship and shuffleboard. We also ordered food. I'm from Pennsylvania and a good cheesesteak is far and few between it seems down south.. this place has the best cheesesteak I've had in years. It was hot, greasy & packed with flavor. Food was 10/10. Also; the bathrooms were surprisingly clean & it was a rainy day/night. Hiking trails are a 5 minute drive. Theres a dog park at the campground, that was awesome. The only semi negative thing I could say is the cabins are pretty close to each other so there's not a ton of privacy. If you're looking for an intimate camping experience, that also feels really safe, this is the perfect place. We will definitely back and I do HIGHLY recommend! At its peak, the train station served a quickly growing Fernandina Beach during the last year of the 19th Century. Today, the train depot turned welcome center, is a great first stop when visiting the island. The staff is very helpful and provides a plethora of information about the area, current events, history of the city, and the best places to go for a meal or night out. The welcome center provides a variety of free brochures, some include coupons to local restaurants and shops. There is not a lot to see inside, however, the outside of the welcome center provides a great opportunity for a photo op. If you are in the area, I recommend stopping in to talk to one of the volunteers to get the low-down on what's going on in the area. You never know, you might find serendipity.

Fridge space was perfect. We removed the drinks and placed them back. All the drinks and snacks were priced so I appreciated the transparency. My sheets felt damp so I think we shouldn't have turned off the ac as the area is foggy/damp. Really great stay.

There are 4 drinks that stay consistent and a different "wild card". I personally love to always try the wild card- I love trying new things. Jaime, the barista/crafts(wo)man is magic at what she does. My favorite item on the menu is the Smoking Bee, especially during the hot summers in Florida. It is a jazzed up sparking americano with a wonderful hint of orange... don't knock it til you try it. I also recommend you try the Leche de Tigre with the infamous "buzz button". If you've never had one before be prepared for an acid trip in your mouth... it's the most insane sensation (10/10). Lastly, the atmosphere is what really makes this place. Everyone is so friendly and great to hangout with! I've never had a bad experience here and I really don't think it's possible. Plus it's dog friendly!!!!
