Even though there was a constant stream of cars in and out, it wasn't too noisy. It was clean (as usual) and they even provided a large garbage can for each reserved site. There was only one small issue we ran into. This location didn't have a check-in option from our email confirmation, so we had to use the kiosk, which is no big deal but the kiosk required a passcode. The Love's employee came out to help. They said that some customers log out of the iPad completely, not knowing they don't need to. Again, not a big deal but being able to check-in from our confirmation email is a plus. We have been keeping an eye on the new RV Hookup locations popping up and planning our travels accordingly. It's nice to be able to fuel up and stay after a long day.

But even without AC, once the sun went down, it cooled down enough to sleep in the evening, and wake up in the middle of the night to watch the sky from the star-gazing field a short walk from our site. The best part was probably the 4 camp kittens. They were very friendly and funny, and will be for sure going back later in the year, when it is a little bit cooler, to see how they kittens are growing.

Cabin had electricity, ac, a mini fridge & freezer, a double bed, a single bed, a microwave & overhead fan. It was comfortable and clean! The folks who work at the campground; Charleen, Kelly & Rudy were just the most welcoming & warm people we've come across in a while. Check in/out was super easy, firewood that you purchase is delivered right to your cabin. Theres a shop with lots of things if you forgot anything & really pretty reasonably priced. Plus there's dvds you can just check in or out for free. Theres an adorable patio off the main building where we had a blast playing battleship and shuffleboard. We also ordered food. I'm from Pennsylvania and a good cheesesteak is far and few between it seems down south.. this place has the best cheesesteak I've had in years. It was hot, greasy & packed with flavor. Food was 10/10. Also; the bathrooms were surprisingly clean & it was a rainy day/night. Hiking trails are a 5 minute drive. Theres a dog park at the campground, that was awesome. The only semi negative thing I could say is the cabins are pretty close to each other so there's not a ton of privacy. If you're looking for an intimate camping experience, that also feels really safe, this is the perfect place. We will definitely back and I do HIGHLY recommend! Thanks again for a great 5 star experience!

We did not stay at the Amelia Island Williams House, but I feel compelled to share the experience…read moremy daughter had with the owner/manager. My daughter had just purchased her first electric vehicle and, following the vehicle's navigation, was directed to the property's EV charger. Believing it was an available charging station, she plugged in for approximately 10 minutes. It was an honest mistake, and as soon as she realized the charger was private, she apologized and immediately began leaving. Instead of a polite conversation, she returned to find a handwritten note taped to her car accusing her of "stealing electricity and trespassing on private property." When she tried to explain that she was new to owning an EV and had simply followed the car's directions, the owner/manager repeatedly told her she "should know how to use her car." Even while my daughter was already backing out of the parking space, the owner continued threatening to call a tow truck. This happened on a quiet Monday evening, not during a crowded holiday or busy weekend when the parking lot was under pressure. There was no need to escalate the situation the way it was handled. I completely respect a property owner's right to restrict the use of a private EV charger and ask someone to leave. That was never the issue. The issue was the complete lack of courtesy, empathy, and professionalism shown to someone who made an honest mistake, apologized immediately, and corrected it without argument. The hospitality industry is built on customer service and grace. This interaction demonstrated neither. Based on the way my daughter was treated, I would not feel comfortable recommending or supporting this business.
