It has a small but pleasant nature walk, a kayak launch, a children's playground, an open field, adequate parking, and more. There is a private residence on the grounds, so please be mindful of that. All in all, Alejandro Garces Camp Tomahawk Park is a wonderful park and a great place in particular for the residents of this quiet side street. We need parks like this in our communities. This is a wonderful place to come in respite. I would definitely recommend a visit here, especially if you are in the neighborhood or anywhere in the general area. I will give it five stars as an overall rating. Go check it out for yourself, I am confident that you will not be disappointed.

No duct tape holing equipment seats together. Classes- I have not attended any, but I am familiar with the instructors and they all are amazing. LA fitness provides multiple locations in my city, which is convenient and does not give me an excuse for not going. They also have multiple locations throughout the US - from Cali to Pr. My boyfriend and I had received gift certificates from my parents for two full moon kayak tours…read more They had met the owner Dennis Thompson while camping at Hanna Park, and since we had been talking about getting outdoors and being more active, they decided to give us these tours. Since the full moon comes only a few times a year, we had to wait a little bit until our schedules lined up and we had a free weekend. Dennis had us meet him at Seminole Park in Ortega, and he provided everything for our tour: kayaks, life jackets, emergency whistles, waterproof bags, flashlights, headlamps, and even snacks and drinks! He was super friendly and very informative. We went with another couple that had signed up, and it was a beautiful tour. Dennis chatted the whole way, giving us interesting facts about the area, talking about how he set up this tour, and what all he has seen in the fifteen years of business. We had so much fun, and the moon was beautiful over the river! The tour lasted about an hour and fifteen minutes, and we didn't feel exherted or tired aftewards. It was relaxing, unique, and one of our best experiences in Jacksonville. If you don't want to do a tour, Dennis has a small spot located at Hanna Park, with rentals there as well. It was an incredible start to my birthday! They were so mannerly and awesome personality for getting there at 5:30am on a Sunday you'd never know it!! We had the perfect weather and tide conditions for kayaking! They were enjoyable and knowledgable. We each took out a single. They also have doubles and other equipment for rentals. Definitely worth it!! Clearly they know what they're doing. We couldn't thank them enough. Hoping we get to go out with them again sometime soon!! We have so many amazing pictures I'll only be able to share a few.
