Lovely wooded environment reasonable space and shielding between sites. Immaculate bathrooms and showers. Campgrounds are a lot of work and it's being done 100% here. Mainly rvs with nice tent spots. The proximity to beaches restaurants and even the bike trail adds to the appeal of Atlantic Oaks Campground. The cons are few and didn't impact our stay or the rating. The point here is that you're going to the beach. So No pool, but go to the beach :) Next internet is about a decade behind, e-mail light browsing work. Internet coverage is wide with barely any dead spots just slow. Tips!! Go to Arnold's for food it's a short walk and it's fun and tasty great onion rings and scallops bring cash. Don't forget to return your gate key. Oh and one more have your campfire but have it put out with water by 11pm. read more

Well, another bike camping trip on the Cape and another fine night staying here. Someone mentioned in another review that they thought this place is a "cash grab", and I could not disagree more. It's also the cleanest and most well-run private campground on the Cape, in my opinion. I had made a reservation earlier that day in person on the phone, mentioned I would be getting in late. I got a friendly call from them later to make sure I could get to camp ok if it was after hours, and to make sure I did so quietly. I was impressed at the concern not just of my experience but that of the other guests. I write this on the front porch, just outside their very nice common area, sipping a good cup of coffee ($1.75, vs $3 at the far inferior North of Highlands campground) and about to get back on the bike. One more note, I mentioned I had forgotten to pack a cup, didn't see anything just right in their otherwise well-appointed camp store, and wouldn't you know Brian pulls up at my site later in his golf cart with the loan of a coffee mug! Had a problem with my RV and wanted to reschedule or if necessary cancel where I was not sure how long Clown World would be repairing my RV. Because I was inside the 14 day "POLICY" window they zapped me full price $300. Next time and you should also just don't call and let the spot sit there empty. read more

Our pre Memorial Day weekend stay at Atlantic Oaks was fabulous. Katie & Dan are a wonderful couple who really make people feel welcome. They even helped us pick a site that was a bit off the beaten path and quiet, which we definitely appreciated. They were both born and raised on the Cape and truly know the area, with excellent recommendations for just about anything. The facilities were top notch including laundry, camp store, and spotless showers. Being a few yards off the bike path made for a great way to get some daily exercise. The striped bass didn't cooperate but Blackbeard's Tackle right next store gave good advice for places to go. Hope to be back again after Labor Day. Thank you both for a wonderful stay. Really enjoyed Atlantic Oaks Campground. Great location on the Cape. The immediate area had a lot to offer. It's a short drive to the ocean side or the bay side beaches as well as direct access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. It's also a short drive to Orleans or Chatham in one direction and Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown in the other. The campground roads are not paved but we didn't have any problems riding our bikes or walking on them. The campground was quiet and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. This campground allows dogs and although we didn't have a pet to bring we enjoyed other people's. I was never bothered by any barking and never saw any animal waste left on the ground. Campsites are on the small side but there was some shrubbery between the shady sites, people were friendly and considerate and we were out and about during the day anyway. read more

I really enjoyed this campground. It's located 2/3 of the way down Cape Cod so the location was good, although I'm sure during the middle of the summer the traffic on the main road can be horrendous. The campground was very clean and I'd say most, if not all of the sites provided some sort of shade. The roads in some places can be a little narrow and I was surprised that I managed to get my fifth wheel down and around some of the roads. It was pretty quiet and I'd say most of the other campers observed the quiet hours. I really didn't hear much of anything from my neighbors. Although, it is true there aren't many cable stations available and the WiFi was horrible. I was camping alone, so it would have been nice to watch some decent television each night. I'd definitely stay here again. read more

This is our second year at Atlantic Oaks. After 10 days last year we decided to stay for the month of August this year. And it continues to be an excellent experience! The staff is the genuinely the best. They are service oriented, hard working and take pride in what they do. No wonder it stays busy. They have been extremely accommodating with us and making sure we were able to enjoy our vacation at large clean sites. The showers are hot and full of power which is rare for campgrounds. Awesome campground! Very clean and spacious bathroom/shower house with a dishwashing station. Plenty of trees for shade. Fire pits have a grate so you can cook on the fire. If you are used to a party campground where everyone blares music this is not the place for you! You hear kids playing during the day but people are respectful and quiet, lots of dogs but owners keep them quiet. They are very strict on quiet/fire hours but after being at the beach all day you don't mind at all. There is so much to do locally, we like to go to the warm bay beach in the morning where there are no sharks, then to the fresh water kettle pond in the afternoon, then pick up pizza for dinner and have a picnic on the national seashore and watch the seals. You are about 30 minutes from PTown and Chatham, lots of great restaurants, shops, mini golf, etc. The campground is on the bike trail for easy rides to many places. Great alternative to renting a cottage for a week. Good for families, retirees, or other singles looking for quiet. read more

We stayed at this campground for four nights. It was very close to beaches on the Cape and a short drive to P-Town. The campground is clean and the laundry facility on-site was nice. The sites are not paved, but it's okay. The only knock I have is that there are no "views" of anything other than RVs and the sites are relatively small. That said, it's on the main drag. Nice, clean place. Enjoyed our stay except for one drawback. Make sure you ask for the escort to your campsite! I checked in and the nice woman at the desk gave me a map on where to go in the back of the campground. I haved camped all over the northeast and can read a map well, so I go check out the tent (safari) area. The sites have a little piece of wood with a colored number on them to tell you the site. I circle the camping area a few times only to see one site that looks like its available and decide that must be it and set up camp. I go out and get dinner (make sure you have $20 cash to secure the gate card) and come back and start a fire to relax. Then I see a golf cart pull up my site with two older folk in it (security) and they ask me my name and tell me I'm in the wrong spot and that I was supposed to get an escort in. The woman at the desk never told me this I explain. Apparently I was supposed to be down a little in this tiny site I hadn't seen. They were very nice about it and let me stay at the spot, but it kinda made me second guess going back. Especially when I awoke in the morning to hear security on the radio saying I was still occupying the spot. Then staring me down on his golf cart until I left. read more

$2 cheaper than Maurice's we figured we'd give it a chance. Great clean place, they let us leave our car there because we arrived before our site was available. Right on the bike trail and close to both the National Seashore beaches and those in Welfleet or which we love. We had a site closer to the road which made for some noise, but we're tent camping what do you expect. Our site was close enough to enjoy wi-fi in our tent which was a major bonus. Bathrooms and shower were clean and free hot water. We enjoyed the outdoor showers as well even if they showed their age a bit more than the bathhouse. This may be our go to location for future visits to the Cape just need to find the right site to really enjoy ourselves. Bonus feature, while moving our bikes and car around the campground I inadvertently dropped my wallet, it was turned in to the office by a responsible young girl and delivered to our tent by one of the office staff. What a great surprise to start our trip with the kindness of strangers. read more

I can't say enough good things about this campground. The bathrooms are extremely well maintained, the store has everything you need and the staff is very very friendly. I enjoyed Linda at the front desk, she was extremely helpful and courteous through our entire stay. We will definitely be back. The place was nice, the staff was friendly, close to the beach and bike trails...however, if you are looking for privacy, this is not the place!! We drove up with our motorhome and as soon as we got out to set up, we all wanted to leave. The sites are extremely tight, they literally pack you in side by side with just a log to divide your space. ZERO privacy, being inconvenienced continued through the night, someone was smoking which filled our RV with cigarette smell, then we were woken up at 6:45 by a barking dog next to us. We booked for two nights and left after one. No refunds but we didn't care. We were swayed by their reviews on their websites but you can't always go by that. read more

Discriminates Against LGBTQ Folks I literally NEVER write reviews of places like this, but I had the worst experience of my life camping here. I was sharing a camp site with my sister, her wife, my brother and his partner and my husband and we each individually felt targeted by the staff. It got so bad that they came to our camp site at 10 pm on Saturday night to tell us that we owed money (which we did not, in fact we OVERpaid. Their owner called to apologize for the 'miscommunication") and yelled at us for a full five minutes. They referenced the word 'Partner' with venom, treated us like criminals by driving by our site with a noticeably higher frequency than any other sites and were generally very rude to our entire group. My brother and his boyfriend, who is a trans individual, nearly left in the middle of the night because they Felt unsafe after the amount of 'check ins' And being yelled at. During check in they even insinuated that we couldn't read the prices on their board because we were confused about their pet policy. I seriously loved Cape Cod but if you want a welcoming place to stay, this is not it - unless you are middle class, straight and white. Worst staff I have ever worked with and I run a customer service department in Vermont. ...... In response to the owners comment, I have nothing to prove. I know what happened to us was real and valid. This review isn't for any other thing besides informing our community how we were treated so that they may make their own educated decision. I stayed here on a Saturday night in the Summer. The price was not bad at all and the place was clean. There were no real private campsites and you had quiet at ten and fires out by eleven which normally would be a problem but we were out in the night life so it didnt bother me this time. If I was strictly camping it may have been an issue. The place is close to beaches, bike paths and many restaurants so that is great. I;m more of a hotel person nowadays but have camped a ton in my life and this place was pretty good for a place to call home for the night. If you want to stay up all night drinking around the campfire talking this place is probably not for you. read more

Stayed here Memorial Day weekend 2015. This is a clean, and quiet campground that is not far from one of the country's best beaches. I was impressed by the modern showers and bathrooms. I had an issue with my camper that forced me to uses the campground showers and I was impressed. This place looks like it had an influx of cash that updated most of the camps features within the last 5 years. Very nice! The location being right off Rt6 makes it ideal for a base of operations to drive and explore. The bike path is behind the property so bring your bikes. To earn that last star you need to have some isolation some between sites. They were well laid out pull through sties with plenty of room and plenty of trees for a nice rustic feel. My husband and I have been here twice and we think it's by far one of the better campground in this area. My only problem I had was if your not in the park before 10pm they have you sleep in the parking lot... I was pretty upset about it at first but once they opened for the day, they were very accommodating and we were able to go right to our site. We understand rules are in place for a reason. A little too close to the highway(maybe some of the sites on the back would be better) my big complaint would be the campsite which was a good size but no way to keep tons of sandy black dirt out of everything! This is a clean and functional campground for RV. Nothing more. Not friendly. Not convenient to any of the beaches. No place to really play outside (they do have a game room with videogames). Not quiet (Rt. 6 directly there-quite noisy). And DEFINITELY Not a family friendly place. ( they clearly do not like you to come with kids-at least the staff was clearly annoyed with ours) They also have a campfire nazi who comes around with his golf cart to make sure your fire is out at 11 and not 15min late. Had a great time camping here with some friends. The campsite has tether ball and horseshoes and is right on the rail trail. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and the showers and bathrooms were really clean. Also one of the few campsites on the cape I could find that allows camp fires. The only draw back is that the tent area is near the road but the traffic noise wasn't too bad. read more

So this camping trip started out with my son wanting to go the the game room. I sad sure and wants to the game room, the map information said lots of games. They how ever didn't say only 1 of them works. Then I went to do my septic and I found the FULL hook up sites don't have sewer so I went up to the store and they said we have know sewer in the park dump it somewhere else. I was mad about that and the owner said my son did something that he didn't do and threatened to call the police. At that point I was so disgusted with atlantic oaks I packed up my RV and left and said I will be never coming back. Then the owner told me to stop acting like a child and get over that his wife screamed at my son. If you ever go down to Eastham DO NOT EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER go to Atlantic oak. The staff are mean and the bathrooms, showers, and store are dirty and they don't clean them. I have been camping for 12 years and I have NEVER been to this bad of a operated place ever. I want to write a clear and accurate review of Atlantic Oaks 1st off the front desk, reception area and tv room are very clean and inviting Bathrooms and showers were tidy also Our tent site red 7 was extremely small, it was difficult to fit my pickup on the site My trouble started on the second morning, I woke to make breakfast and found cockroaches all over our bins, inside of boxes, they were everywhere. Thankfully we had our food sealed tight so no roaches made into our food. I reported the infestation to the front desk, the employee, Linda took the time to look up cock roaches on the internet to see what kind they were. She said she would have a staff member check out the site, I told her I would prefer not to have chemicals sprayed while we were there as I was traveling with children. The next morning when the kids awoke, one of them unzipped there clothing bag and found it infested with roaches. They were scared at that point. I asked my neighbors on either side of me if they were having a problem, the Canadian couple on red 6 did not speak English well, so they brought me over to see the bugs that were in their containers, they were infested. The gentleman and his son on red 8 told me he had found a few in his cooler! We decided to leave the campground at that point, I had had enough. When I checked out, I mentioned the infestation to another woman at the desk, she basically rolled her eyes at me, she could not have cared less. As I was getting ready to leave another staff member approached my truck. He stated someone had gone out to my site the day before but didn't see anything, the staff member become some what belligerent and asked me what I expected when I went camping. Well let me tell you, I do not expect a cockroach infestation! I do not expect a staff member to be rude. I had to cut my stay short due to the deplorable conditions of this campground and I got yelled at by a staff member. This was not what I had expected or paid for.
