The studio was super spacious with enough room for everyone to have their own space after our long drive, the view (and sound) from our room was really wonderful too! We enjoyed staying at this resort! We loved the scenery, sunset, our studio room, location, and most importantly the manager/owner, Jim and his team. To be honest, we want to go back! Hubby decided to drive up to P-town for my birthday week - best decision. He should have received the husband medal of honor! We arrived in the afternoon and the room was ready for us. Please check the check-in and check-out time carefully. Check out time is 10 AM during peak season. Prior to our visit we checked a few resorts and ended-up choosing this one. We communicated with Jim, the owner/manager via email and phone call and he gave us a complete version of what to expect. When we arrived he greeted us with a big smile! He's so friendly and helpful! We were so happy to have found this place. We picked a studio room across the street. All rooms overlooking the water/bay and sunset. The clean room is complete with kitchen, microwave, big fridge, dinner table, big couch, tv, comfortable bed, coffee maker (not keurig), and a balcony for us to enjoy the sun and scenery. The housekeeping staff was very courteous and polite; he did an amazing job which didn't take long. We could tell he's professional! The next time we go back to Cape Cod we want to try a waterfront room. The sound of night waves put me to sleep. There's no safe in the room, so please don't bring any valuable items because the resort will not be responsible for any lost/stolen items. Just bring yourself and swimsuit and you'll be okay. Bring clothes if you want to walk around town. The pool! Yes! Don't forget to enjoy the pool because you don't want to swim with the sharks in the ocean. We didn't see any sharks but we saw couple of whales during our whale watching trip. The pool water is a little cold but due to the hot summer day, it was refreshing! The depth is between 3 and 9 inches. We truly enjoyed our stay at this resort. Thanks the management and staff members for their great service! read more

I stayed here for three days and it was a blissful experience. We were running late so the management people had left the pagoda open for us. The pagodas are designed in such a way that nobody walks on your side of balcony (which is kind of a shared space). All pagodas are equipped like a fully furnished apartments. One side of the pagoda looks over the Cape Cod bay and the other on the nature preserve, both beautiful sites all day. There is a private beach, which is clean during most of year. There is ample parking space on this facility. We were able to go to the beautiful beaches of Cape Cod on a very short drive from our place and enjoy the nature at its best. I will recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a nice and quiet location for stay in Cape Cod at reasonable price. read more

First, let me say that having a full kitchen with a stove, microwave, full sized fridge, dishes and pans saved me a lot of time (and money) not waiting in line to eat. I went several times in the past years, and now, during the COVID era having a kitchen is an especially valuable asset when it comes to health concerns. Secondly, the management and cleaning staff are very accommodating polite and unobtrusive, which makes the stay relaxing. There is a change of sheets and towels and light cleaning midweek if you think you need it, and you can simply exchange your towels for fresh ones any day. I prefer the savings I enjoy with renting a unit in the less expensive building they manage across the street that is a straight line of studio/ efficiency condos on a slight incline with ample free parking right in front of the building. The beach is very quiet for reading and relaxing, and you are able to walk quite a distance along the peaceful, beautiful shore. Also, there is the free internet connection which I consider crucial. Compared to other local places to rent with private beaches and kitchens, this is a real bargain. The sunsets are unusually colorful and memorable. You will need to take your own hairdryer and shampoo, but I don't care for the super-blast hairdryers other places usually furnish and prefer to take along my own shampoo. There is a shuttle bus you can take for $2 one way that stops out front and it makes stops at ocean beaches, the supermarket, downtown Provincetown shops, etc. during the Summer season. I would check on that during COVID as things can change. The second and third floor are the most private in that particular building, and there is a "dropping off your luggage" area in the back which is level to the second floor, if you don't want to lug your bags up stairs you can rent a second floor unit. If you don't like noisy, crowded beaches and love having a shared private beach and pool, this place has them. I am considering this place for a Fall visit, as I can bring my own groceries and self isolate while enjoying the ocean wildlife, bayside beach and the salty breezes. read more

I stayed here for two nights. I was on the Cape for a wedding and realized after arriving that my husband, baby, and I were completely unprepared for the beach. We had no sunscreen or swimsuits. So we weren't able to take advantage of any of Horizons' facilities. Our room was nice enough and immaculately clean. If I was coming to North Truro for the beach, I would absolutely stay here, particularly because of the kitchenettes in the rooms. I mean, there're only so many lobster and fried clam meals you can eat, right? read more

This place is really expensive for rooms that haven't been renovated since the 1980s. On top of that we arrived on a Monday afternoon which is apparently when they "clean the beach" meaning a giant John Deere tractor spewing gas fumes rolls up and down the beach picking up seaweed (?!?)while you're trying to relax. Bad timing for us, but they should mention it on their website so people can make a better choice. When I mentioned it to management they were very unhelpful: no room discount not even a sorry. Just " it's only a few hours" etc etc. I'm from the Cape and was just trying to have a beach getaway for one night. So to recap, pricey for what you get, bad customer service, meh accommodations. Don't come here. Spend your money on ANY other of the numerous hotels and resorts on beautiful Cape Cod. read more

I'm not really sure if I would call this a resort, but I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. We had a water front view that was spectacular and we were so close to Provincetown. Falling asleep each night listening to the birds and the waves was heavenly. The kitchenette came with minimal amenities, but it was definitely suitable. If we left the "Do not disturb" sign on the door, we still got clean towels in a bag outside the door. The beach had a lot of seaweed, which was kind of gross, but they did clean it up once during the week, and when the tide went out, there was a good bit of clean beach. It was really nice and relaxing to have a private beach without a lot of other people, and we were just minutes away from public beaches. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Just stayed here for a wedding for 3 nights. The word "resort" is completely wrong. Here's why... CONS 1. Don't expect any "extra" amenities in your room. No tissues, no pen & pad, no courtesy phone, no little bars of soap or shampoo, the kitchen was very minimal too - only a couple glasses, plates etc 2. The bathroom was awful. The shower head pressure was SO HARD, it wasn't fun to shower with even a slight sunburn!! The tub didn't drain, so we showered with water up to our ankles (EW), and the toilet was cheap plastic, if you sit on it with the lid closed to get dressed...you'll dip it in....ugh! 3. Very outdated furniture: bed, lamps, table, dresser, cheap plastic resin chairs on the deck etc, it's all old style like the 80's. 4. Towels are teeny, tiny and scratchy, 1 pillow per side of bed, cheap bedspread, just everything was "cheap" and flimsy and outdated to me. 5. The hotel sits on top of a hill, so you have to walk up a steep incline to get to ANY rooms that aren't on the 1st floor. So if you are older, or can't walk easily, get a room on the 1st floor, there are no elevators here. You can't park up there either, only 15 minutes for loading/unloading your stuff 6. Air conditioner unit in your window, so it's loud and blows directly on the bed while you sleep. Forget "central air", this is old school air cooling at its best. 7. Our friends put their house up for sale right before this trip, and got an offer while on vacation. He went to the office to ask to use their fax machine and/or copier and he flat out said no. Even though they had one to use. How terrible. He had to get in his car, and drive down to the town library to use theirs. Rude, if you ask me. PROS 1. Nice enough pool, but it's across the street. The hotel is across the street from the beach too. 2. There is a bus that stops right in front of the hotel every half hour to take you into Provincetown & back, for only $2. Expect delays though, it doesn't run like clockwork, so give yourself extra time. 3. Cleaning service every day - basically they change your garbage, make the bed and give you new towels. If you aren't looking for ANYTHING fancy and just a place to lay your head, this will do, but if you expect any kind of amenity at all, look someplace else. There are SO MANY cottages and other places to stay and choose from, I will never ever stay here again. read more

Incredible prices for off-season pagodas. We were here for 4 days early September 2 years ago. The pagodas were clean, had air conditioning, and were in a great location in North Truro. We were able to walk to a local restaurant, and even took an extended hike to Provincetown (it's really driving distance unless you like long walks). It's not, in my opinion, a typical resort--at least not what I would typically associate with one--though we didn't use the golf course, pool, etc. However, if you're expecting a Bahamas-style resort out on the cape you'll be quite disappointed as that kind of thing isn't to be found here. read more

I arrived with a friend today to stay for one night. Very overpriced for the room which has not been updated. We walked down to relax on the beach and there was a large tractor driving back and forth right in front of us the whole time we were down there (not long because the exhaust was choking me and it was loud and the tractor was getting closer and closing to running us over) I came all the way from Baltimore to relax and this is not what I was expecting at all. When my friend tried to talk to the front desk manager, he didn't offer a discount or anything. This hotel needs to state that this happened during the day, every Monday, before you book! Last but not least, when I went to take a shower, the tub was so slippery right off the bat, that I almost slipped and fell. Not good. read more

My partner & I recently stayed at Horizons during Womens Week in Provincetown, our 2nd stay in as many years. I have to say, there will definitely not be any further stays! Despite the fact the place is decent, clean, has very friendly & helpful housekeeping staff, is conveniently located & is priced attractively, the treatment we experienced from the office staff was abhorrent! When we encountered this same problem last year, we attributed it to perhaps just a bad day but after even worse experiences this year, let's just say there will be no opportunity for a 3rd strike! We've already begun our search for friendlier accommodations that I'm quite sure our very easy-going selves will find! Looking forward to many happier vacations to come in Ptown just not at Horizons! read more

For my first time staying in North Truro, I enjoyed my stay here at Horizons. I unfortunately was too late to book one of their places on the private beach, but the building I stayed in was about 100 yards from the beach. I stayed on the second floor and had a balcony. The view was subpar. It was mostly just of the parking lot in front and the building in front with a sneak peak of the ocean. The room I stayed in was quaint. Had a small bathroom, a king size bed, which was actually pretty comfy to my surprise, and an outdated kitchen. I'm actually kind of shocked by how outdated the kitchen area is. You think with all the money they bring in that they would update it? I had no interest in using it as is. Hopefully some time in the near future they update it. I really enjoyed the balcony atmosphere. Nothing beats having a drink or a snack on the balcony, very peaceful. Only downside about the balcony is it's not very private. You can hop over to the balcony next to you if you wanted to, which made it hard to leave the door open at night. I wouldn't want any unwelcome visitors. I wish the walls were a little higher on the balconies to increase privacy and to be able to keep the sliding door open at night. However, aside from all of that, the maintenance guy and house keeping folks are very friendly and accommodating. They are very respectful and keep the rooms clean and get you anything you need. Overall, I'd come back. Next time though, I hope to get a beach front room! Will report back then! read more
