This review is just for their happy hour. I'd love to stay here some time because the rooms look amazing, but since we get the same house every year, I don't know when I'll have the chance to be a guest. However, we do love to come here for happy hour! If you want the best view in all of Provincetown, this is where you should come. There are various seating areas outside and a decent selection of beers and wines for sale. It seems this place attracts kind and chill people and I've met so many friendly folks each time I've been here. The people who work here are the definition of hospitality. If you want a pleasant, memorable place for a couple of drinks in Ptown, you'd be hard pressed to do better than Land's End. read more

Land's End Inn - Hotels Near Me - Provincetown, Massachusetts

This hotel has a nice outdoor setting for drinks. You can get some wine or beer from the guy in a little window and then get a chair overlooking the water from high above. No food, just drinks. Many locals come here in the afternoon to admire the beautiful landscape and water views. There's a fire pit on the grounds as well. Relaxing, beautiful and a great place to hang out with friends. If you are walking, it is a steep climb to get here. read more

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon several years ago. The experience was top-notch. Recently, we wanted a weekend off-season getaway, and, having good memories of the place, I booked a weekend stay. I am extremely conscientious about making appointments, reservations, and handling finances. I clearly specified the dates I wanted a reservation for. The "final confirmation" page before clicking the submit button showed the correct dates. A week prior to the arrival date I had requested, I received a welcome email, and a bit later, a text from one of the innkeepers stating that I should call if I expected to arrive after 8:30 PM. At the time, I thought, "great, I love it when people are prepared well in advance." I returned the text stating that I expected to arrive well before 8:30. This was all in the belief that everyone was on the same page - that this is all for the following weekend. But then I received a text stating that it was after 8:30 and that I should call the front desk, and that's when I said, "wait... what?" The innkeeper was obviously referencing that day, and not the following week. I replied with aforementioned "wait... what?" and also that I had made a reservation for the following weekend. In short, the rest of the communication process did not go well. It was clear to me that something went wrong with the reservation system. The innkeepers sounded offended at my suggestion that this was what had happened, and were a bit snobbish rather than engaging and helpful, as should be expected from a hospitality business. In the end, after a phone conversation, the inn decided to offer a refund, which was nothing more or less than the right thing to do. Ultimately, I'm not upset that an error occurred. That's part of life. I'm upset about their general attitude, and because of that, I'll not be returning to this otherwise lovely place under current ownership. My review is one star due to this experience, but because ultimately they did the right thing a la a refund, I'm adding a second star. read more

Lovely place and we had a great stay. Wonderful rooms, great happy hour, and stunning views! One note: Children are really, clearly, not "welcome to visit," and they should not say they are on the website... this led to a somewhat confusing and uncomfortable interaction with staff when our family stopped by. I understand they are considering changing this policy, which I think would make things clearer for all. Otherwise we had a great time and we'll definitely be back if we're in the area. read more

This is a beautiful inn, with wonderful staff in an amazing location. The views from the grounds are amazing. The rooms are small, but are well appointed with lovely decks, robes, beds, refrigerators, and toiletries. The snacks and wine in the evening are nice and show off the beautiful common spaces in the hotel. Breakfasts are way better than the typical breakfast bar, with treats like mini quiches, croissants, and fresh fruit. It is at, err, Land's End, so it's a bit of a walk to town, It's expensive. We will probably go back next year, too. read more

I stayed at Land's End Inn for a couple days and had a great experience! The inn is a little over a mile from the center of Provincetown, so it was on the quieter and more secluded side. The views were wonderful, as the inn sits high atop a hill. From the dining and living areas, you have a serene view of the ocean. Our room balcony had an ocean view as well. Inside decor is Victorian, which I usually find gaudy, but in this case it was tastefully done. Each room was a different theme. We stayed in the "Victorian" room, so it was very over the top, yet surprisingly charming to me. I loved the two wood-carved columns in the room. The house is older, but was it clean and very well-maintained. Linens and towels were all high quality. And the complimentary breakfast was one of the better ones I've had. Organic yogurt, delicious quiches, high quality fruit, and way too many awesome pastries. I highly recommend Land's End Inn if you are vacationing in Provincetown! read more

I'm pretty picky about reviews, especially with hotels... I travel a LOT and I can count on one hand the number of good reviews I've given to hotels. This one was above most. B&B run by 2 gracious and helpful guys... I'm not good with names. I stumbled like a klutz and broke a decorative plate on one of the walls in my room and they didn't make me pay for it or feel guilty about it. Just basically said "no big deal," and they have "tons of decor in storage." Amazing service. Pros: Hosts were both very friendly; room was beautiful; bed was comfortable; view was amazing; and great sitting areas, both inside and outside of our room, (which was a King room on the main floor.) I didn't get to use one because they were both occupied, but the hotel has 2 EV charging ports! Slight Con is the location... parking is difficult and sparse, and the B&B is at the end of the peninsula, away from everything, so it's a walk to food and entertainment, but that could be a huge Pro for many folks. They didn't give me any @#% for parking in their temp spot, which was the only spot left within about half a mile overnight. Biggest Con with this hotel (and all hotels on the Cape actually) was a lack of plugins for power/USB ports near the bed. Floors me that in this day and age this issue still exists. Breakfast was an afterthought, so if that is a major part of your idea of the Breakfast in "Bed and Breakfast," this isn't the place for you. I think it was an abbreviated continental, (pretty much with just toast, if I remember right. I had to eat again later that morning.) This was a quaint B&B that we would return to if we ever get back to the Cape. read more

Very nice Inn. But...the wine bar that is open to the public really has changed this place and not really for the better. From 4-830 every night the inn is swamped with people. They take over all the chairs. We gave up trying to get a chair just went back to our room. They really should block off the upstairs seating to just inn guest and not open it up to the public. read more

Stay two nights here this past weekend and had a lovely time! The staff members are very courteous and helpful. We arrived late our first night and Stan called and made a dinner reservation for us - I've never had such wonderful service before! The breakfast exceeded our expectations too, no need to go anywhere else for breakfast. I've read a couple reviews that mentioned the creaky floorboards - yes they woke me up in the morning but you really can't complain about that; the Inn is over 100 years old and the creakiness is part of its charm. My wife did not seem to be bothered by the creaks though. Overall, staying here made me feel like we traveled back in time. It is a very unique experience. read more

We were looking for a quick getaway and we knew somebody who was staying here and decided this was the place we wanted to visit. This place is very special! It's a great old Inn almost at the end of Commercial Street in Provincetown situated on top of a hill with a great view of the ocean. We chose to stay in the Gull Hill room. It's on the lower level of the end with a beautiful view of Provincetown harbor. Our room has its own patio. The room is very spacious with a king size bed, a small dining table with chairs, two comfortable chairs to sit on and watch TV and is decorated absolutely spectacular. Several previous owners collected antiques and curiosities and are beautifully displayed throughout the inn. Our stay here also included an expanded continental breakfast every morning which was more than satisfying. Also between 5 and 630 every afternoon they offer wine and beer with different cheeses and other tidbits. If you ever get the chance to come up this way do yourself a favor and stay here. It's really a special treat! read more

Stayed here two nights while in Provincetown with my mom. We were in the Mayflower room, which is one of the smaller rooms but still very comfortable, although the bathroom was a bit of a tight squeeze. The room and the common areas of the inn are wonderfully decorated in an Art Nouveau style with gorgeous antiques and stained glass everywhere. There is an evening happy hour with wine and snacks which is delightful. Morning breakfast is fairly simple with a cold buffet. There is a lovely big deck to sit outside and enjoy your breakfast looking out at the harbour. The inn is at the far west end of the town, so it is a little bit of a walk to get to the shops and restaurants, but nice to have peace and quiet away from the bustle of town in the mornings and evenings. read more

Best place to stay on the Cape! We found by accident 10 years ago and have gone ever year since! Beautiful setting and unique rooms make for a wonderful experience. Great staff too! read more

*LOVE* Stayed here with our two pups in the Gull Hill room. A few highlights: - Beautiful, spacious room - Killer comfortable bed / pillows - Gorgeous views - Lovely wine "hour" and delicious breakfast (both complimentary) in a quirky but cozy main inn area - Basket for our dogs including dishes, dish mat, two giant customized bones, and a roll of poop bags...CLUTCH - Plenty of parking - Lovely owners Only caution is that it's a little ways from town, though that's a good thing for some. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. read more

We highly enjoyed our two nights in the Moroccan room. I have never stayed in a more beautiful, romantic hotel room. The staff is friendly and efficient and the continental breakfast and wine and cheese hours were also very nice. I highly recommend a stay in this beautiful inn. There are spectacular views from the patios and other public spaces at the hotel. The Moroccan room has stunning views and a private patio. read more

One of the most memorable visits to and inn that I have stayed at in PTOWN . Exceptional service and the location is best by far!!!!

I can't express how much I appreciated the stay at the Land's End Inn. The second we entered our room I felt the stress melt away. From the first steps onto the property, to laying on the bed, and the gracious hosts and hostesses of this inn making you feel welcome. The inn was filled with charm and a sense of peace. High up on top of the hill looking out onto a body of water. With plants and flowers all around. They understood our needs and made sure if we needed ice or anything, our needs were met quickly. The place was clean and relaxing. We had wine, cheese, crackers, fruits, and breakfast brought to us daily. We changed rooms the days we were there from The Victorian Room to The Moroccan Tower, and The French Country Suite we enjoyed it all. We loved it so much that we extended our stay. I don't know what else to say other than I will go back one day and I think others should visit too. read more

Beautiful place to bring a lover. A room with fridge access is unheard of these days. Perfect for my weekend drinks. Will be back next year!

(score 1-100) - 98. Rarely does something floor you. ...well get ready to.. because this is one of those places. I was fortunate to come across the Land's End by accident. It is one of those places you will always talk about long after your stay. The original owner was an artist and a visionary. He was well traveled and picked out unique antiques from all over the world. The B & B is filled with all the treasurers of his travels. It is beyond that though, it is more like a fantasy B & B. One of the rooms has an armoire door that is a secret entrance. The tower rooms are all amazing with incredible ocean views. The place is always booked so you have to plan waaay ahead. The Tower rooms are around 400ish and the regular rooms (which are far from regular) are 200ish. If you are looking to blow away your gal or have a upcoming anniversary...or maybe you said someone else's name during the heat of passion...well this is your place! She may not forgive you but she will surely always brag about this place to next guy. read more

Well, after coming to ptown for decades this is where we want to be for our short stays. Much of downstairs accommodations are dog friendly which is one of the big reasons . Love the location at end of town up high in a hill with sweeping views and ready access to breakwater/dunes/beach/town etc etc just a stroll away . Nice staff and comforting place. Nice breakfast spread w healthy choices of fruits etc. beer and wine hour are a great touch - good for chatting and meeting other guests from all over. Good beers too not just fake beer (bud light that's you) and quality wines. Waters and granola bars left out fir your convenience too... Our room had a small fridge so you can stop in the nearby supermarket and stock up on some things...ask to make sure yours does- not sure all rooms do. Yes it's a bit expensive but for a couple three nights is worth it. read more

If I could design the perfect inn/hotel, this would be it! We ended up booking a last minute reservation without any research simply because we were trying to escape our stay on boring, pretentious Nantucket. All of the places in Provincetown were booked, but thankfully Lands End Inn had one room left, the Higgins Tower Room. When we arrived the sweet staff gent made us feel very welcome and had set out delicious bottles of wine and yummy cheese and beautiful fruit plates for the guests. One look inside our room and I was in love! It was as if the owner had personally decorated the room to my exact taste. It was sort of uncanny. The owner obviously has an appreciation for antiques, vintage stained glass, and specifically art nouveau. We loved the coziness of the Higgins room and the large window right over the bed, perfect for star gazing. It also had an ample sized deck with multiple views of the coastline. We slept with the windows and deck door open allowing the wonderful sea breeze to lull us to sleep. It was heaven. The next morning breakfast was especially lovely, with a large array of fruits and more natural, nutritious options. This was THE best place I've ever stayed, PERIOD.. and I travel all over Europe. I can't think of anything that could be improved upon. Perfection. read more

Nestled in Provincetown's West End and a short walk from the hubbub of Commercial Street's bars, art galleries and restaurants, Lands End is a gem! The quaint B&B is kept by a fantastic staff that provided guests with a restful stay. Breakfast hits the spot: muffins, fresh fruit, bagels and coffee are all we needed after dinner at one of the many delicious spots downtown the night before. We looked forward to the nightly wine & cheese provided by the inn keepers while we looked out at Cape Cod Bay. Each room has a distinct decor chock full of antiques and thoughtful details. The Bay Room boasts views unparalleled on the Cape...if you're lucky to get this constantly booked room. All around a beautiful place and unique inn on the lovely Cape Cod. read more

A very mixed review. The positives are the wrap-a-round porch, the mini- breakfast and the casual wine and tidbits in the evening. The host & hostess are personable, but are not around much of the time. If it's total quiet/relaxation you seek, this is a good spot in a generally bustling town.. The minuses are the difficulty getting to the top of the hill, the paucity of parking spaces and the small, dark rooms that do not justify the high price/night. Guests have little help with their luggage and some of the staff can be grumpy. On balance, there are many better choices in Ptown. Methinks many of the high ratings you see for this property come from elderly returnees that stay at the in and are used to this low level of service. read more

Staff and views over Cape Cod bay are excellent. Rooms are extremely tight, and hard to maneuver. You can clearly hear people talking in the adjoining rooms, meaning sound insulation is minimal, if present at all. A feature I particularly didn't enjoy were the outdoor sitting areas in front of all first floor rooms. This meant people stay out there drinking and partying all day and well into the night. The complete opposite of a relaxing stay. read more

We have just returned from several days at the LEI. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as we have for the past ten years. The Inn sits atop a hill with a wrap around porch offering a 180 degree view of the bay and provides a wonderful, quiet setting for a very satisfying breakfast and evening cocktails of wine & beer complemented with a variety of crudités and cheeses-all complimentary. The owners are very personable and accommodating and have a well trained staff that put effort into ensuring you feel like this is your home away from home. Over the years we have stayed in several different rooms all very comfortable and beautifully decorated. There is no doubt that this is a premier inn, in an idyllic spot, arguably the best in Provincetown and well worth the cost. One of many bonuses is the people of all ages you get to meet if you choose to socialize....recognizing many who are back year. Sent from my iPad read more

We always go to P-Town the weekend before Christmas, and we usually stay somewhere more centrally located, but we decided to go a bit away from commercial and stay at Land's End Inn. We are so glad we did, and will most likely stay there again next year at this time. I was so impressed by the cleanliness of the grounds, the wonderful cleaning staff, and concierge at the front desk. We also just got a puppy and were a bit nervous about bringing her with us, but this Inn made us feel super comfortable and even more so, made our dog feel right at home with a welcoming kit for her that was equipped with a treat, a towel, and food and water bowls. We forgot a charger for our dog camera that we travel with and the wonderful owner or concierge sent it in the mail free of charge within two days. With so many commercial hotels and inns and air bnbs to choose from, we are SO happy we decided on Land's End Inn. Wonderful views from each room. Wonderful breakfast and coffee every morning. Wonderfully comfortable beds. Wonderful team that created our weekend perfect in anyway they could. Looking forward to coming back this summer. Thanks, Land's End Inn! read more

I absolutely loved my stay. They've nailed hospitality in a Covid-19 world. They dropped off breakfast and happy hour wine & cheese outside the room each day. The property and grounds are beautifully kept. read more

We have stayed in the Sunset room at Land's End Inn for two summers now - five nights in 2014 and eight nights in 2015. The room is one of the smaller ones at the Inn, but it is perfect for the two of us. Beautiful Asian antique furnishings, a great shower with plush towels and amenities, and terrific views of the gardens and cape. A continental breakfast bar is included, and each day starts with fresh strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, pastries, bagels, English muffins, cereal, coffee and juice. Evenings include a wine and cheese presentation. For both, guests gather at bistro tables and plush chairs on a wraparound deck overlooking the bay and larger cape. You get to know many of your fellow guests - if you so choose - which we love. Throughout the day, bottled water and soda are available for free in two refrigerators in the lobby. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel is located on one of the highest points in the quieter West End of P-Town, with simply stunning views. It's an easy walk back to the town center and the East End art galleries. I cannot say enough positive about the Land's End Inn. We plan to return for many summers to come. read more

I really do not want to write this review but I will because I am feeling generous! So, I don't want to tell you about how beautiful this Inn is and how spectacular the views are - and the fact that you are about 1/2 a mile or so away from the action of the center of town. My hubby and I stayed in the English Garden room - a pet friendly room - very cozy with a spectacular view of the ocean. Make sure to keep the blinds drawn if you are not an early riser. the breakfast was great - lots of fruit and baked goods. The building is just WONDERFUL! Chock full of antiques - lots of nooks and crannies - the staff are fantastic! Cannot wait to return. read more

Should such a thing exist, Land's End Inn would definitely be one of the better "hidden gems" of Provincetown. Nestled away toward the end of Commercial street, the inn is somewhat easy to miss, despite it's location perched on-top a hill. Driving up, the place looks almost magical - towers, immaculate grounds, stained glass windows. Each room is themed in a particular mannor, with some having stunning views of the town and ocean. The rooms were spotlessly clean, spacious, and perhaps most importantly, very cozy. You could hear through the walls a bit, and some of the rooms were a bit of a walk to the common area, but those types of things are to be expected. The staff was extremely friendly and inviting, even allowing quick walkthroughs of unbooked rooms. The evening reception (wine and cheese) and breakfast both had a great selection, including four types of beer in the afternoon and complimentary soda / water available 24/7. Decor can certainly overwhelm at times, but is tastefully and eclectically done. My only complaint would be the walk to the "happening" part of Commercial street, about 20-30 minutes, which, while a nice stroll in the summer, was a bit painful in the cold. All in all, one of the better experiences I've had in Provincetown, and certainly a destination to return to. read more

Everything about this place is perfection. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars because it was just that magical! We stayed in the Bay Tower Room. The views from the room are the best around. The entire hotel is filled with gorgeous antiques. There isn't a blade of grass out of place on the grounds. Everything has been groomed or cleaned or manicured to perfection. The wine and cheese hour was great. Breakfast is really wonderful. You can grab a great dinner across the street at the Red Inn. The room was fine. Like staying in an art nouveau museum but on the service side it was severely lacking. The staff was not friendly nor helpful. Not sure it was worth the price. Disappointed. read more

Loved the hotel. Clean, spacious, wonderful view, great (superb!) breakfast with a huge array of fresh fruits, freshly baked muffins, oatmeal, cereal, pastry items, you name it, they have it. Always snacks around, towels for the guests to take to the beach, ideal location (West End), great stuff and customer support, and, yeah, "wine and cheese hour"! Good selection of wine, lots and lots of cheese/munchies to take with you to the porch and sit there, enjoying the view and chatting up with other guests sitting on the great wicker furniture. Manicured lawns, impeccable! I have nothing to complain about, and, by the way, when our window got broken during some particularly angry wind (could not close it), Michael came to the room at 11 pm (!) and fixed it. They go above and beyond. Love them. Some of the rooms are pet-friendly, some are not. Wi-Fi is flying. read more

This place is like heaven on earth. The view is unbelievable, the grounds are impeccable, and the staff is ultra-accommodating. We have taken our dogs there both times we have visited and they are a truly pet-friendly inn. I love the pet care packages you get upon arrival! The continental breakfast is done with care and then snacks and drinks are available to you for the rest of the day. Wine and cheese hour starts at 5:30 and it's a great kick-off to the evening as you overlook the 180 degree harbor view. My partner and I just got married there and it was picture perfect. We stayed in the Moroccan - i'm in love with the place! we had almost 360 degree views of the ocean. We had a private deck that had wonderful ocean views, with lounge chairs. The common areas were amazing. I cannot think of one bad thing to say about this place. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Peter, Joseph and Darin (if i just butchered the spelling of your name, Darin, I apologize) were friendly and it was never a problem when I asked for something. Great staff. Fortunate enough to stay here while in town for a friends' wedding. The Inn was wonderful and contributed to an extremely restful and relaxing weekend. The wedding ceremony and reception were also at the Lands End Inn, which made for a stunning backdrop and charming, picturesque venue. The staff working at the Inn were very friendly and helpful and the Inn itself is SO CLEAN. I was looking around at all the interesting decor and was stunned at how clean everything is -- not because it was unexpected, but because I can't imagine how much time it must take to dust an older building with lots of cool decorations and architectural details.
