This great Provincetown inn offers the amenities of a bed and breakfast with the privacy of a quaint motel. It is located at the edge of the west end which is great if you want to stay in a quieter part of town. We have stayed here for about a week every July for the past 7 years and we feel very at home because we are treated like family. Several great restaurants are within walking distance. Bike rentals are available just up the street. I would recommend a bike to get to and from downtown or the beaches. Splurge and request room 6 or 12 on the end.

Looks beautiful what's the best time of year to visit?

My personal favorite time is in the Fall, from September through early November. The first part of that is still very warm, sometimes even warm enough for a beach day in September. And, the town is less crowded with tourists, and prices are a little… Read more

It was everything we hoped for a more. We originally booked the Montgomery room and then was upgraded to Bella. At first I was a little disappointed it wasn't the room we were expecting but it turned out to be perfect. We enjoyed that it was on the first floor, which made it much easier with a pup. The space was bright and clean. The manager, Patricia was fantastic! She made us feel very welcomed and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable throughout our stay. Breakfast was also very yummy. It was made to order and plentiful. During our stay breakfast consisted of pancakes, eggs, potatoes, sausage/bacon, English muffin, parfait, juice/water/tea/coffee. Overall a fantastic stay and especially great value during the off season! Will definitely be back!

I needed something in the housekeeper. Was there in a jiffy. Communication five stars for check-in and information. All done on text. Thank you, Barbara and staff for making our weekend wonderful..

The rooms are stylish, spotless, and perfectly appointed for comfort after a day exploring Commercial Street. I passed on the mini-fridge but could not forego the parking space. As such, my bill came to $100 more than I expected to pay. And that was just the beginning. I figured I could make up for my lack of a mini-fridge with the ice machine, but there was none. At least, I couldn't find it after searching all three floors. The room itself lacked such basic amenities as a clock, a coffee maker, a microwave, a notepad, a telephone, and a table for my laptop. (Not being religious, I didn't bother to check for a Bible.) The lamps were somewhat dim, which made it difficult to read the book I had brought with me. And the nightstand was so shoddily made, it actually came apart when I moved it! I had to reassemble the damned thing. For good measure, the WiFi kept dropping out as well. To top it all off, I could hear the guest next door to me snoring. Good thing I brought earplugs. At $200+ a night, I expected much better than this.

When I got to my room, it reminded me of an older style roadside motel motor lodge where you park and then walk to your room. But the parking lot is down a level so you have to walk up several steps to reach the rooms. The motor lodge building is one of several though. There are other buildings behind and to the side that surround a quad that has trees, gardens and chairs. My room was large and a little spare, but there was a curtain hanging off its rod so it looked a little sad. But the next morning I woke up and opened the blinds and saw how gorgeous the grounds were and suddenly looked much better (but I hope they fixed the curtain hanging off its rod.) There was complimentary breakfast in the lobby. As I walked down, I admired the landscaping, lots of flowering bushes and shrubs. The Inn is set high on a hill and so it is quite private. I also took a walk and the Inn is very close to the ocean. You can walk one way and walk into town, or go the other way and you are walking along sand dunes and the ocean. If you are looking for a special place to stay, you should consider staying here.

Fire pit at night time. Short walk into town and super close to the park. Look forward to returning.

The location was perfection, basically in the center of town, but offset from the main street enough that nearly no noise reaches the Inn. We stayed in the Crow's Nest, which is a relatively small room but it was impeccably clean and very comfortable. The highlight of the room itself was the shower, surprisingly luxurious feeling. There were plenty of other amenities available. We took advantage of the breakfasts and parking spots, but I know they also had bikes available, as well as a little patio/garden that seems like it would be lovely in warmer weather. To top it off, Chip's pastries are *absolutely divine*, we were sneaking more of them all day long. There were also plenty of dogs around all weekend long. I would not recommend this spot, or the town in general, to someone not comfortable with dogs, but I had a ball :)

The hosts were helpful with offering suggestions and recommendations. We also enjoyed meeting the other guests from around the world. What's not to love about this place? We can't wait to come back and we will DEFINITELY stay here!

The location is excellent... close to town/restaurants/shows and the beaches. Everyone was very accommodating... they literally would 'always' ask if we needed anything or if our room needed 'freshening'... and when we asked if they had beach chairs/umbrella's/towels, they brought them out 'tout de suite'. (and pretty new equipment too!) We were lucky to have the P1 penthouse/suite on top of the Benchmark side of the hotel. It's a nice size suite, very neat and clean and afforded us a great view overlooking P-Town and the bay. I liked the bed, although my wife thought it was a little too soft. There are no elevators, but the 'climb' did help out 'step' count for the day. Breakfast was included, which was very very good. A nice variety (sausage/bacon/eggs or granola/pastries, even bread/cheese European style) to accommodate most any appetite. There is limited parking between the two buildings, enough for about 8-10 cars. Again, Gregg/Steve/Shane and co. really treated us very well. It's no surprise they're on the top of the hotel/BNB list for P-Town. We would happily stay here again... next time.

December '21 was another no-go for us as CA implemented additional curfews, no dining-in with restaurants shutting at 10pm offering take-out or delivery to stop the spread of the Omicron variant. We had better plans for the Cape- thank you very much. The more we read about 8, the more it intrigued us. We picked 8 for their modern style, crisp white bed linens (love a well-done hotel bed w/ white linens). But we deliberately picked 8 for their more private setting away from the famous, business-filled Commercial Street strip a block over. So incredibly happy we did! Steve offered the warmest welcome and smile when we got in on a cold Christmas evening. He gave us a detailed rundown of complimentary breakfast service every morning (fill out form night before), tea+coffee service 24/7(I think?), etc. FYI- 8 Dyer adheres to COVID hygiene guidelines, is smoke-free, has WiFi and all 8 rooms have their own private bathroom. We stayed in one of the PH suites with its own whirlpool tub in the loft, Queen-size bed, gas fireplace, dorm-size fridge, small wet bar, small balcony and flat screen TV+DVD player. There's also housekeeping if you're interested when you indicate it using your door handle sign. 8 gave hubs and I a no-hassle, comfortable, attentive and ultra quiet stay here. I would love to give Dyer a 10 because Steve had the best attitude and made us feel right at home. Gracias for your hospitality!
