Not maintained - tall grass not weed whacked at every campsite - no shade at our campsite at Hortons- bathrooms all out of order (which seems from other reviews to not be temporary) We could not do a Saturday check in so we paid for two nights which we were fine with since the dates were 40% off....but after arriving and seeing how crappy this place is we realized we would have been livid if we paid full price - the would not budge on this even though the campground is empty. No signs so it's hard to locate your campsite area. Wouldn't come again but we made do read more

This campground has gone way downhill. THe prices have gone up and are very high. The facilities need upgrading (the bathrooms ) seem to be out of order more than they are open, which is very concerning. The pavment on the roads is buckeling and falling part. THe grounds are not maintained as well. Internet is not reliable or strong. Many perm sites have been vacated. I have no issue with the staff, all have been nice and pleasant. read more

I have been a seasonal camper for over 40 years. I will never go back to this place! The bathhouse floors are getting ready to fall in. There was mold in the showers and on the walls. People having raging fires, in the middle of the woods with dry stuff everywhere! We spoke with a manager named James. He was absolutely useless. I've been trying to get ahold of Wayne Sr and let him know what's going on but every time I call or email they refuse to give me his info. read more

This campground has gone downhill significantly over the pass couple years. What used to be a pleasant place to camp for a couple weeks or to rent one of their trailers has now become a price gouging facility in disrepair. Staff when approached have a "I don't give a crap" attitude or blame it on owner's sons desire to line his pockets. Internet is worthless, bathrooms and laundry room in disrepair and need major upgrades. Security that used to monitor noisy campers at night is non existent. This used to be a pleasant location but I would suggest Dunes Edge or Coastal Acres. Money spent there is a much better value! read more

Stayed here for a Mid-September weekend. Too cold to swim but plenty pleasant just the same. Had a full hook-up site with plenty of room. Not much interaction with staff but they always waved and check-in was easy. We walked the campground each night looking at all the seasonal sites, campground was ~70% seasonal. All the people were very friendly. If I had one complaint, the people drive too fast. Each day a caravan of trucks flew out of there like they were on a mission and did the same when they came back later in the day. read more

This place is horrible. Infested with mosquitos. Very dirty. The bathhouses both are falling apart. The campsite was muddy, my sewer connection came out of the ground. We had a horrible time. Playground is old. Will never return. read more

We have been camping at this facility for over 30 years and it remains to be a beautiful, and peaceful place to stay in Cape Cod.

I used to love this place, I have been staying here for a few days to a week for just about 10 years. We do only tent camping. They have consistently been increasing prices, which I get, inflation. But during the 10 years I've stayed here they have done zero improvements to the campsites, the bathrooms, the showers. Each season I go back, it seems like another shower or toilet is broken. Never fixed the broken showers either. Showers are really old and dirty, not the fault of the cleaners, they're just ancient showers. Oh and a fun new thing they do now, they won't let you pick which site you want. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is the location. It really is unfortunate that Adventure Bound Camping (a giant chain company) is price gouging. Remodel bathroom and allow customers to pick the sites they want, that's the least you could do for the prices your charging to go camping. read more

I really enjoyed this campground. Stayed for one night last weekend (late September). The campground is really well maintained and the tent camp sites are very level and make for comfortable tent camping. I believe you have to request it (and pay more), but the sites with the fire pits are definitely worth it. Enjoyed having a fire during a cool fall evening and making s'mores! I like that Adventure Bound is fire conscientious and have the metal fire pits versus fire pits in the ground to prevent wild fires. I wasn't able to find anything on the website before going, but each of the camp sites also have a coal grill that you can use. I didn't use the other amenities, but based on the general cleanliness of the campground I assume the showers/bathrooms are well maintained & clean. Another great perk about this campground is the vicinity to the beach. Easy 10 minute walk on a well used path. Also - dog friendly which is wonderful for someone who takes their dog everywhere with them! Kayak conditions were great on Sunday morning and since it wasn't peak season, the campground was very kind and gave us a very late checkout (3PM). Will definitely be returning to this campground again next summer/fall. read more

Absolutely love it here, the campsites are portioned well, so convenient that there is a path leading to the beach. The camp store has all the essentials, from fire starters to travel sized soaps and assorted candies. They have great big bundles of wood for $5 which is rather good comparing them to other firewood we bought. The campers are cozy and clean. Most staff are ridiculously kind and helpful, although one woman at the front desk who was no help, when we transitioned from a campsite to a camper. read more

Nice campground! I've been a seasonal camper here for a few years. Unfortunately on October 3rd 2019 my cat Oskar disappeared after lunchtime (afternoon) from my campsite or the picnic table across the driveway. The manager and workers were only 3 campsites away but claim they know nothing of his disappearance. Oskar is a "munchkin breed" in which he has short legs so he is unable to climb or jump more than 20 inches. When he runs it's more of a scamper. He is very dependant on me. He DID NOT wander off. Any information on what happened to Oskar is important to me as I am absolutely devastated that he was removed from my life. The management would not help me as to who was in the campground and who was leaving. Everybody gives their email address and telephone number and auto license plate regestration figures upon checking in to Hortons campground. How difficult would it be to send emails out, they are not invasive. If this was the managers animal(s) or a child they would do everything possible with the check-in information of the campers and guests to have their animal or child returned safely. Do I need a court order? Did somebody think that Oskar was a stray cat with two collars on and hanging out at my campsite or around the picnic table across the driveway? If so, please give him back to me!!!! read more

I stayed at this campground in early October and I can't wait until it gets warm again to start going back. I am a surfer and travel all over the place to find waves. A good swell hit Cape Cod in early October and i chased the waves up from Long Island. Love to camp so I found this place on Yelp. It was pretty cheap and Cape Cod is such an awesome area. They have a general store with the essential things you might need on a camp site. There were a lot of RV's there and not as many tents pitched, but then again it was early October so maybe less people want to camp then. It's a 3 minute drive from Coast Guard Beach or a 1 mile walk through the woods on a path. I suggest spending the few extra dollars and getting a campsite with a fire pit. For me it was the perfect set up. The next time I want to camp in Cape Cod I'll definitely be returning to this site read more

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Cape Cod - my perfect setup at my campsite in october. this place is great - Campgrounds Near Me - Truro, Massachusetts

Pretty decent campsite with good amenities and really close to the beach, bike trails, and a bus route right outside that takes you directly to Ptown. Staff is really super friendly. Two main drawbacks. First, the camp sites are kindof on top of each other, which makes it a bit annoying when the people 10 feet away from you are talking at full volume at 3am like it's nobody's business. One of the security guards recommended Hortons, the sister site to this place that has much larger campsites and tons more privacy- we'll be checking that out next time! Second drawback- around Labor Day weekend be prepared for daddy long legs- they are EVERYWHERE. read more

This time we brought our own camper last time we stayed in one of the campgrounds campers. If you are planning on mostly hanging out at the campground it is not like most. The playground is out of date along with the store on the property. It is a great campground to stay at for the following reasons; 1. beach is up the road 2. you can hike a short hike through the woods on a path to the Highland lighthouse 3. it is on the bus route that you can take for $2 right into P-Town 4. you are centrally located so you can either travel towards Brewster or the other way towards P-Town 5. there is so much around the area to do The front desk people aren't very outgoing but the staff we met on the grounds were friendly. The campground is clean and quiet and the "seasonals" are very friendly. Overall if you are looking for a place just to put your camper or tent with no frills but great location this is it. read more

Stayed last weekend in hortons area. It was desolate. We were thankful that the facilities were open. Both sides of the camp had bathrooms open but the showers were only open in the back. I was pleasantly surprised how roomy they were but disappointed there was almost no water from the shower head. We had a hookup site but didn't use the hookups. The campground was nearly deserted, but full of what looked like full timers. Overall, nice and quiet, which is what we were looking for. They warned me there would be no wifi but I didn't realize no service. I'm not a huge fan of campgrounds Bc I always feel packed in like sardines, but on ptown you have no boondocking options. I would see how it would be unpleasant during the season. They had a fall special making the exorbitant prices a little better (approx $135 for 2 nights but as previous posters noted, they could really use an upgrade to the facilities!) read more

If you are looking for car camping or woods camping try some place else. The campsites are stacked on top of each other and this place is more of an RV park than a campsite. Stayed here with family over the 4th of July weekend. Between all the illegal fires in the campground, trash all over the place It was disgusting. Then the bathrooms are a whole story in itself. Black mold in the showers, some of the stalls floors were actually sagging. I asked a young kid who worked there and he stated the "entire place is falling apart!" Save your money and stay somewhere els!! read more

I had a great time at this campground. For some reason, the woman on the phone assured us that she gave us a fantastic camp site, the best site available since the season was slow. When we got there, the site was very rocky and bumpy and not at all good for sleeping in a tent. Fortunately, there was a free site next to it so we moved there. The campsite was pretty quite, minus what sounded like a full concert somewhere on the grounds on Saturday and Sunday night (it ended around 10pm so it didn't hinder sleep). The staff was pretty friendly and they let us store our bags there while we were out for the day. The bathrooms were clean and had an outlet where we could charge our phone and bike lights. The camp site was $50/night, which isn't too bad if you had a car but we came on bikes so it would have been nice to have a lower price since we took up less space and didn't contribute to the carbon footprint. The site is right off a bus line that goes directly to Provincetown for $2 (includes bike racks), and there's a beautiful beach about a mile up. read more

The staff here are absolutely fabulous and super helpful. James, lance, etc will go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. 2 stars for location and cleanliness. Super close to P-town, and amazing beaches. There were 6 of us sitting around the "rented" fire pit conversing merrily when the surely old groundskeeper walks up says nothing...grabs a pale from the back of his pick-up and dumps the bucket of water on the fire and says grumpily "goodnight." Why? It's ridiculous that the camp ground can't trust people to put out their own fire..who the hell goes to sleep at 11 p.m. when they're on vacation anyways? And the camp sites are one on top of the other...no space in between...reminded me of camping at a K.O.A or something...I will not be back--to say the least!!!! read more

Very nice campground. We stayed here in July of 2010 for about a week. We came to go to Provincetown, and this was a great place to stay. It was a great escape from the crowds and craziness of Provincetown. North Truro is the 'next town over' from PTown. Very relaxed, very scenic. The campground is in a pretty undeveloped area. It has a direct trail to the beach. It's a beautiful ten or fifteen minute walk to gorgeous ocean-side beaches. Campground itself has spacious slots and is very pretty. The trees are the shrubby little beach pines, so don't expect huge trees. True, you won't get a ton of privacy, but it's not a big deal. A lot of outdoorsy folks use this campground for kayaking and fishing trips. Staff was very friendly and professional. We camped in an RV, so I can't speak to the bath or laundry facilities. Seemed rustic but acceptable. The only problem we had was that we have a large over-40 foot RV, and we even though we reserved six months in advance we were given a slot that was very hard to get into, even though there were easier slots available. If there was any way to reserve a particular slot in advance for large RVs that would help tremendously. Much smaller RVs were given easier access slots after we got there. You can build fires, but only using campground-supplied wood. It's a National Park Service requirement - the trees in this area are susceptible to various bug infestations, so bringing in your own wood is a bad idea. The wood was terrific. Very dry, burned great. In fact, we saved some to take with us to use elsewhere. Being close to PTown, it's gay-friendly. There were several permanent campsites that were obviously gay-occupied. But it's primarily a straight crowd. Lots of families and kids. Lots of seasonal campers. There are 'primitive' sites at the back of the campground that are really beautiful. They back right up to the National Seashore areas, so it's like camping right in the National Seashore. If you want a reasonably remote experience, ask for one of those sites. In short, it's one of my best memories of Cape Cod. Highly recommended. If you go, try Savory Pizza, a great pizza joint just up the road a mile or so (going away from PTown). See my Yelp review for them. Very good pizza. read more

My boyfriend and I were a bit disappointed to learn that our favorite campground in Provincetown was booked for the memorial day weekend. We decided to stay at Adventure Bound and try to make the best of the weekend. Luckily, we were pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by a friendly and extremely helpful staff member who recommended a walking trail to the beach and clearly explained the bus schedule into Provincetown. The bus runs every half hour and conveniently stops at the entrance to the campground. The reduced bus fare, if you get tokens at the camp store, is only 1 dollar. For those looking to explore p-towns nightlife, the last bus back to the campground leaves at 1230. The facilities at the campground were clean and well maintained. I noticed ample laundry facilities and washing stations. I will leave off 1 star for having to pay for the fire ring. Overall, I would say this is a good alternative to P-town sites for busy weekends and probably better access for those with large RVs or campers. read more

We had a really nice time camping at this place for 2 days in late August. This was our first time tent camping and we are now hooked! The place is clean, and very family and dog friendly. There appear to be a lot of seasonal RV residents as well as RV renters and tent campers. We got a "premium tent site." The price in season was $40 for a regular tent site and $5 for a fire pit rental. The premium site is larger and comes with a fire pit included and was only $48, so we splurged, haha. I think it was worth it as the premium sites are around the edges of the campground, so you have at least one side without a neighbor. We were in a pretty quiet corner and had no issues. The regular tent sites did seem small and are all packed together near the front so maybe it gets noisier there. We had no issues with noise except maybe some kids being kids around 9am, but that's not a big deal to us. The showers were 50 cents for 12 minutes (I think), and the one I used worked well, had good pressure and hot water. The bathrooms were clean and plentiful. Only issue is sometimes they are cleaning more than one at a time so you have to walk farther away. This is more annoying since it happens in the morning when you know people are going to be in there. Fire wood can be bought at the office for $6, which I felt was reasonable and convenient. The walk to Coast Guard beach takes about 20-30 minutes walking slowly, but is shaded and easy to do, and great exercise for our dog. The beach is lovely and worth checking out. We chose to drive to Provincetown and it was maybe 20 minutes. There are some good food options a quick drive away, including PJ's (seafood shack, lot of items available) and Sweet and Savory (pizza, sandwiches, ice cream). We also drove to the Drive In one night, also about 20 minutes away. We had no trouble using our cell phones for researching the many things to do in the area. I would definitely recommend staying here, we had a very enjoyable 2 nights. read more

This campground is pretty much as good as it gets. A beautiful facility. Heavily wooded, with the very pretty scrub pine trees common to the area being by far the most common tree. Meticulously maintained. I don't think I've ever seen a cleaner campground. The commons areas were spotless. A fair number of permanent or seasonal campers, but even their sites were tidy and presentable (this isn't always the case in large campgrounds). It's located in North Truro. A five to ten minute walk down beautiful dune paths to two terrific local beaches. Or you can take the trolley into PTown in about twenty minutes. The trolley runs every 30 minutes all day and it's last stop is literally at the front door of the campground. It's a dollar if you buy a token in the camp office. Last trolley leaves PTown at 12:30 at night. It's a very convenient way to get around. My partner and I have stayed here for a week plus every July for the past three years. Lots of families. Lots of sport fishermen, kayakers, etc. Since it is close to Provincetown it's gay friendly. But I wouldn't call it a gay destination. No pool. No organized activities. But with great beaches ten minutes away you really don't need much else. What really struck me was how well run it is. It's a pretty large facility, but I never saw the front desk overwhelmed. The staff were always professional and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Which can't be easy, as I'm sure they have answer the same stupid tourist questions over and over again. The only complaint I can think of is I do wish the camp store was better stocked in terms of food items. But then that's a complaint I have at all campgrounds. What really struck me was how quiet the campground was. Even though there were plenty of families and young couples I almost never heard screaming, loud music, etc. We had a couple of specific requests, including an emergency UPS delivery, a need for an extra power cord extender, etc. James (camp manager, I believe) and staff were very accommodating. They even loaned me a bicycle helmet when I asked about local bike laws. We stayed at the 'main' campground. Right down the road is Hortons, which is a campground that Adventure Bound recently bought. It's still being developed. It has more of a natural look, with less structured sites, etc. More of a natural vegetation look, rather than a meticulously maintained camp. I suspect it will become more developed and look more like the main campground over time. Last, right down the road is Savory Pizza, maybe the best pizza I've ever had. So if you don't feel like cooking at your campsite there's a great food option about a mile away. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You really can't go wrong with this campground. read more

Beautiful, peaceful site. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff.

Awesome place. Bathrooms clean. Friendly staff. Kids on bikes have to be more careful. There are still cars around.

Concur with all the other positive reviews. We spent a week at the N. Truro CG. Extreemly clean and well maintained. 50 cents for a nice long shower, plenty of hot water 90% of the time, warm otherwise. If you need to be entertained, this is not you campground. Very convenient to the real Cape Cod, fabulous town and national seashore beaches. Bus to P.town is a great deal, used my Senior Charley Card to pay the fair $1, $2 for non-seniors $1/kids, tokens no longer available. The bathrooms are so clean, when I was shaving, in what I considered a perfectly clean facility, who shows up but the cleaning crew. Found the camping community to be very respectful of the efforts of the facilitators, I never saw the typical trashing of the public restrooms that I have experienced in so many other places. Purchased firewood that I don't believe gasoline would have ignited, they replaced it two fold+ with wood that almost didn't need kindling to get started. A very good value camp ground experience. We're already working on our family calander to schedule another week next year. read more

i spent a little time here this summer and it was pretty cool. we decided to do the RV thing, which is a great option for people who aren't really interested in sleeping on the ground. quiet at night, clean and lots of amenities. i'd say that getting rid of the .25 cent shower option might be a good move in 2016, though. i mean, c'mon. if you're not going to open the office until 9am and the sun comes up at 5, that just doesn't make cents. My sister and I finally were able to take our dream vacation to cape cod and decided to tent camp in Truro which I must say is quite a beautiful area. We arrived late after the store /office had closed. As we were picking up our info a very nice gentleman opened the door and asked if he could assist us. Thank God because we wasn't very prepared so we were able to get ice and wood as well as some beverages. He even brought the wood down to our site I believe his name was Lou. We met so many nice people there and the facilities were very clean and they even had a laundry building. My family and I just got back from ABC, location is great. Coast guard beach is amazing and it's only an 8 min bike ride away. I would drop off my family with gear at the beach, then ride back on bike. (Permit parking only). As for the campsite my electric and water hook up was a little confusing upon arriving, but the staff was very helpful and made sure everything was squares away within 1 hr. I have to say I was a little disappointed in the showers. I was only able to take 2 hot showers over the 5 days. Maybe a curse since others had no issues with hot water. The campsite was at full capacity so there we neighbors at every corner. My kids loved it and did not want to leave. My only warning is get ready for sap (from the pine trees). My wife and I seemed to get sap on our hands and legs pretty regularly. All in all nice site for families. Staff was super nice. Ptown is a 10 min drive away with no traffic. read more
