I am always greeted when I walk in. Check in is quick. The reason I don't give it five stars is that the equipment in the cardio area has often been broken when I've been there. With the number of members that they have, the gym should keep the equipment in good repair. A year ago, I signed up with a personal trainer to get out of my sedentary pudginess. Although he was friendly, I wasn't making much progress. I do have some mobility issues to overcome, and he never pushed me. After he quit the gym, I got a new trainer, Brianna, a cute, tiny, young thing less than half my age. But I have to say, she's great! She listens to my goals, and despite my limitations, she pushes me to make progress. As a woman, I appreciate having a female trainer who takes me seriously regardless of my appearance. She has always been very professional, yet she has a friendly manner. I like her style! I've noticed that she's the only female trainer there. In the world of macho and muscle in the gym, I feel much more at ease with her as my trainer. The ladies bathrooms smell badly, not sure if it's the sewage that smells. The rug in the locker room is very dirty. It could use being replaced or shampooed. Today the whole place smelled of bathrooms. They could install fans on the walls to help the airflow in the lockers. Compared to Monterey fitness center, I never see an attendant in the locker rooms or around the gym cleaning around the equipment. Maybe the management should checkout the Monterey fitness center, just to get an idea on how to run a good gym. MGC charges $45/month. Montage charges $86/ month. Monterey fitness center a much larger and nicer with far more equipment. It's always spotless.

This what I observe. 4. One of the women's shower only has cold shower not fixed yet. 5. The women's locker carpet is gross. Carpet cleaner needs to come in at night to deep clean the carpet.

When we got there there was maybe 5 things open. I saw two employees and a bunch of nasty people not wiping the machines down after they were done. Not enough employees to clean in between use when others don't do it. When I went to the front counter to ask about the crowd meter the employee said "oh it might be off a bit". This is terrible and very over crowded for a gym that does not even offer any classes or anything extra. I will be looking for a new gym. Don't waste your time going here you won't get a good workout because everything is already being used.
