But that just goes to show you the level of training that the coaching staff provides to their gymnast's . You can't go wrong with this gym. They are definitely turning out "Rising Star's

When I visited this was not an actual class and more of an unstructured open gym. There are instructors there that could help spot if needed, but they seem to be there more for general safety/liability instead of coaching. Overall $30 is a bit much for just an open gym.

For their visit they had three assistants on hand to teach and help the kids. They started with a group activity, stretching, jumping, controlled running etc. Then they got about 40 minutes of free play then wrapped up with another group event which brought the kids back down just in time for CAKE. On the free play the instructors created various ramps, pads, tumbling, swings and a small bounce slide. The staff kept changing the design during the 40 minutes so the kids had fresh stuff to keep them entertained. They even got a trampoline exhibition from some of the staff. They love that. They have a small room off the main gym area where the kids had their cake and drinks. The staff was very attentive. It looked like they loved working with the kids and by all the smiles I know the kids loved it. Even the parents had smiles on their faces. 90 minutes was about right on the time. We only had a couple of meltdowns and I think anything longer we would have had more. If you have young one I would really suggest you consider this place for a birthday party for both boys and girls.

She was doing skills that the other girls in her age group weren't doing, such as back handsprings & walkovers, yet she wasn't advancing levels. I knew that wasn't the place for her. I enrolled her in KidzCornerUSA shortly after & it was the best move I made. My daughter is on the competition team & is doing amazing!! Her first year of competition & she scored well enough to compete at the state level!! She absolutely loves it!! She's thriving there & it's because of coach Stephanie. I love that her classes are smaller so all her students get more personal one on on one instruction. Also, because the class setting is smaller, students are not as easily distracted. Another great thing is that I pay a lot less than what I was paying at the other gym academy & my daughter gets twice as much instruction with her coach. As a single mom, I can appreciate saving a buck or two. Stephanie not only coaches all her students the same in terms of workouts & drills, but she works towards helping advance every student according to their own individual capabilities. Not one child is ever compared to another nor are they left feeling less because they haven't learned to do certain skills. She doesn't just coach her students, she also mentors, guides, encourages, motivates, & helps lift their self esteem. She makes sure every child shines & stands out. She's so great with her students & she gets them excited. My daughter is learning so much, not just gymnastics. She's participated in cheerleading as well & has joined in a couple of cheer dances with the CSUMB cheer & dance squad. How cool is that?? I'd definitely recommend this place!! Whether it's dance, gymnastics, cheer or if your just looking for a place your child can come to for a little fun, this is the place!! We absolutely love it!!

I went in around 640pm and the manager said it was full but we could use the last lane since no one is using it and then when the swim team is done we could move over if we like. I said as long as we get a lane I'm fine, I don't mind where the lane is located. We get there and swim team has it so we go to another lane and everyone is saying it's their lane and they don't want to share. We swim in the common area pool because the young kids swim class is done but of course lap swimming is difficult because you have a lot of people floating in front of you. So we wait until 7pm which isn't much longer so we could get a lane. The swim team lingers and some of their friends go to their lane so it's like they were reserving it so again no lap for us. I had to leave, it was a waste of time, money and changing into swim wear. In fact I think I spent more time in the the changing room than swimming. Will not be returning. If the manager would have said no lane is open we wouldn't have even gone in, very misleading. Overly crowded. It's a great pool for the young but for an adult who is busy and wants a work out I would go somewhere else.

Starting out, my 4 year old was afraid to put her face in the water, but fast forward four sessions later....she was kicking her feet, head down in the water and "ice cream scooping" the water with her hands to swim across the width of the pool.....THEN flipping over to her back to take a big breath...AND then flipping back over to continue swimming. Trisha and her staff (my daughters LOVE Kaitlin and Raquel) are simply amazing. They are endlessly patient, gentle with their instruction, no pressure, and so incredibly supportive. I can't recommend this facility enough if you are looking for swim instruction.

They have to go through test, show an understanding of honor, respect and fortitude. The school does not promise to advance your child to blackbelt in a few short years if you sign up for their membership. It's impressive to see the longevity of students who have stayed with this amazing school. I cannot say enough about the sensai/teachers. They are the absolute best I have seen in training, support, kindness, respect and all without humiliating or screaming at your child. They hold the students accountable for their actions with wisdom and explanations. I actually have put off the thought of moving from the area just to keep my daughter in this facility. I have also taken the kickboxing classes myself to get in physical shape for my job and I dropped 30lbs in 2 months! I've grown to love the staff and the familiar faces that I've watched grow up here. They take the classes seriously, but have this incredible way of adding humor and fun and adjusting the levels of seriousness to the proper age groups. The little kids love the staff, and learn about respecting them and each other as well as their parents. I highly recommend coming and at least trying one class, whether it's for your child or even yourself in one of the adult classes. Best decision I've made for my young child to show her what it is to stick with a good program through her life and earn rewards, (advancing a belt), and to continue even when tired, (like after volleyball practice). I would give them a 100 stars if I could for what they've done so far.
