STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP. In April I brought a 2005 S50 from them the bike looks great and ran well until it had a coolant leak last Friday. But lets go back to before I brought the bike I was very clear with the sales lady Jennifer of my intentions to do some modifications to it by adding bags that lock and speakers. She said for me to speak with parts the guy in parts could not find bags I wanted but he gave me a website and said to speak with service about the installation. I spoke with the guys in service told them the year/make/model of the bike and what i was looking to do to it. I was told yeah that won't be a problem I was even told I could have the items shipped to the shop I just needed to let them know before I ship. Ok great I paid a deposit on the bike to secure it and get the paperwork rolling. However now I have the bike and have found speakers and bags I want when I called the shop to get those items shipped I was stopped in my tracks with service stating they only work on bikes that are 10 years or newer no one said any of that when I was inquiring about that bike. Had I been informed of that possibly I would have still done business with this shop just with a different newer bike. Instead this very important information was withheld from me just to make a sale. How can they sell old bikes but then refuse to work on them thats makes no sense at all. So for anyone in the market that is thinking about one of the older bikes this shop has take my advice and keep looking. I don't recommend this motorcycle shop for your needs at all. read more

Brought in a UTV still under Warranty with a 100 miles/50 hrs. Never modded or Watered with oil leak in the rear. 1 1/2 months later I was told they couldn't find it and Charged me a $160 Diagnostic fee for NOT FINDING IT?!?!? I brought my motorcycle to Atlantic Cycle and Power in Waldorf, MD and was told the turnaround time for service would be 3 weeks. It's now been over 3 MONTHS, and my bike is still sitting there. No clear communication, no updates, just excuse after excuse. To make matters worse, when I came by to grab some personal belongings off my bike, staff gave me unnecessary attitude -- like I was the problem. The lack of professionalism and accountability is honestly unbelievable. If you're thinking about bringing your bike here for service -- don't. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that values your time and respects you as a customer. I'll never return and definitely won't recommend this place to anyone who actually wants their bike back in a reasonable timeframe. read more

I took my Maverick X3 in for a seat clip that was missing since I purchased it. Only had it 5 months. Explained the situation to Doug being as though I did not t purchase from there and he took good care of me. Got the part ordered and he had it installed. I bring my bike here every year after the winter break. This last experience was rough. Brought in on Saturday, early. Was told it would be 2-3 hours. I ended up calling around 45mins before closing and was told they weren't able to get to it that day. Definitely would have thought I would have gotten a call for that update when they figured it out. Was told my bike would be taken care of on Monday, but I'm assuming because of the weather we had they might not have been open but again no call or update. Then Tuesday comes and they finally say they start the work but they only called three times that day to inform me of other services needed that I will have to pay more for. And then didn't call again that day. I called them when they opened Wednesday morning and they told me my bike was ready. I've never had an issue with the work that they've done I just really have an issue with the lack of communication and updates and to seem like they would only call me when it was time to add another charge. I don't care about the price. I'm not worried about the money. I'm worried about being updated about the progress because I have to change my schedule around so that I can pick the bike up and if I keep doing that without updates, it's a huge inconvenience. Wish I could rate this company a zero. My elderly father just recently purchased a brand new atv from this place. One of the main things he was looking for in a atv was 4wd. Salesmen at the shop sold my father a 2wd atv and presented it as a 4wd. After a couple days my father discovered the atv was 2wd and contacted Atlantic. The management team told him they would give him 2000 dollars less than what he payed for the atv just a couple days prior. I highly recomend anywhere but this place. I took my 2022 Canam Ryker in for service on a Thursday and two weeks later they had not look at it. When I first brought it in the older gentlemen in the service department lacked basic customer service. After two weeks they finally found the issue to be the thermostat and said they would have to order the part. Well The week of June 19th it rained everyday. My husband decided to drop by on Wed or Thurs and my Canam was sitting outside unprotected in the pouring rain. Needless to say my husband lost it. I finally picked up my vehicle this past Saturday and the customer service is just awful. Not one person spoke with me about what was done, nothing just here's your receipt and your key. I will never patronize this business ever for service or to make any purchases and will advise anyone I come into contact with to do the same. They should have the option for no stars. Worst place to get any work done. Took my Gen 1Haybusa in for service. It was not running properly. First I was told we can look at it. Okay. After about 2 weeks was told it was the fuel pump. Okay. Had fuel pump replaced along with spare plugs and coil packs. This took over a month. Got call my bike was ready for pickup at 3:08 pm. Was told by angry service lady if I'm not there by 3:45 I won't get my bike. Anyway l. Finally get my bike back ride for a day and same problem I brought it in for still happening. Call Shop and got a very negative response. You guess it from angry lady. Able to get it back to shop about a week later. (I am an over the road truck driver) Anyway. They take the bike in and about a week later tell me it needs a battery. Buy battery and bike is still not fixed properly. Was told their mechanic is highly skilled in Haybusa maintenance and repair because he rides one. Well he doesn't know jack. Took bike to another shop and had it back in a week running perfectly. He actually did the research and diagnosed the problem. In short Atlantic Cycle gave me the run around,didn't know what they were doing and their customer service was lacking any kind of freindliness or even care for the customer. You are treated like you don't matter. Will not return or recommend to anyone. Although the young lady that checks you out is the best and most considerate person there that I came into contact with. read more

Extremely slow and exceptionally bad customer service. Stay clear of this repair facility, especially for a Honda Goldwing owner. FYI, they told me the Honda technician is not a full time employee. Putting the CB system installation aside, I also requested an oil change and a driver's backrest installed. Suffice to say neither of those services were performed after my bike sat there over a week. The only thing they did was move it to the parking lot in the morning and back in the shop from closing. Went to buy my first dual sport, would have paid cash. They seemed like I wasn't important, to be honest I was asking novice questions. I was asking questions about the motorcycles and there differences as well as lowering and they were not sure, didn't bother asking someone who knew the answer. It wasn't even busy and I was one of three people in the store at the time. I had to search and find someone to answer the questions I had. Purchased a bike from them on 04/06/20 (2012 KLR650). Given the current situation, I had no complaints with how quickly and easily the transaction was processed - I was in and out of there in relatively short order. Unfortunately, that's where my high marks have to taper off. I was led to believe during phone interactions on 04/05/20 that my helmet and riding jacket were to be included in the transaction, if we could make the deal happen that weekend. I'd also bought a set of folding aluminum ramps, tie downs and straps - which I did get 10% off on, but was charged for the helmet - at which point I didn't even bother looking at jackets, seeing as I was charged for the helmet. I've made 3 attempts to reach out and get this resolved, and have had no response from my salesman, finance dep't, or anyone else at Atlantic so far. This was my 1st purchase, and I'm now questioning if I'll do further business with them. read more

I normally do not post reviews like this, but the lack of great customer service for such a company truly had me disgusted. This is my FIRST TIME going to this shop/taking my bike for an inspection which it initially failed due to three things (Tag lights not working, Front tire needs to be replaced, and a new chain). With that being said the inspection wasn't bad costing only $72, and I was advised they'll do the work and if its done within 30 days you'll pass the inspection. So of course I get the work done. When all said and done, after spending $250 on parts they add on another $260 for labor. Because it takes TWO hours of labor to complete Three (Really Two Things because the tag lights only takes minutes) for their technicians. God forbid you need two tires replaced or a chain and the sprocket. Im at a lost of words for how this company screws over their customers. I tried to speak with a manger multiple times only to be told on the third time calling back speaking with George from Service tickets that the manager was not in and will be there tomorrow. Which wasn't convenient because I'm getting my bike TODAY. Also asked if their was anyone else that I could speak to regarding how slow they are at doing jobs that should take minmum an hour, but of course they said I can only speak with the manager. George did not seem to care nor did he have the decent courtesy to to apologize for telling me to call back three times before saying the manager will not be in. Again, if you couldn't tell from reading this I wouldn't EVER go back here/nor recommend anyone looking to get work done to go here because of my experience. Find a private shop that will work on your bike like it's theirs instead of this place that take your bike and charges you as if you dropped off your car broken down on four wheels. read more

Put my bike in the shop to get some work done. Which cost me almost $1200. I let them know I couldn't pay it all up front and was making payments while the bike was still there. Long story short, I go to pick my bike up and at least 5 screws were missing from the bike along with 4 pieces of my plastics. They claim it was not in the bike when I dropped it off. Which is a damn lie. So sorry that GRD took over this shop because they did the same shady mess at their other shop. Things were missing from my husband's bike when he took it in to GRD. They take parts off the bikes to put on others for sale and lie about it. Beware. I will never get anything done here. I recommend highly that you NOT get your Honda Goldwing serviced at this facility. Specifically, the parts Dept. sold me a Honda CB Kit/Antenna and subsequently the service Dept told me they do install such equipment. When I complained, they decided to make an exception for me. I drop my bike off on Monday, 26 June and was told it would take 1-2 days for the job. I checked on Wednesday (28 June) and told to check back on Friday (30 June), when the part-time Honda technician would be working. On Friday, a very rude, unprofessional lady in the service Dept. told me she wasn't sure when they would get to my bike, but it may happen the next week. Fast forward to Wednesday, 5 July, and the same rude service lady said the Honda technician MAY have time to look at my bike on Friday (7 July). The excuse is the technician is only part-time and he spends the majority of his time doing tires, inspections, and batteries. As a result, the technician has a hard time finding enough time to work on my bike. Suffice to say I immediately picked up my and there was no apology and opportunity to speak to the service manager, who happened to be off today. As a result thereof, I highly discourage anyone who value their money, honesty, and good customer service to stay clear of Atlantic Cycle because they don't care about good customer service or about their poor reputation for service in motorcycle community in the DMV. read more

I have used Atlantic for several years, but my most recent experience was very disappointing. The place seems very different since GRD has taken over. I had to take my 2016 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager back several times after they installed slip-on exhaust. They either did not know, or failed to inform me that a power commander was needed as a result of the exhaust change. Then they could not figure out how to sync the power commander. After going back and forth, for over a month, the power commander is better, but now the fuel injection error light is on. Their answer "we have done all we can do, you should take it to someone that can fine tune it." Very disappointed. read more

Went to get oil and a filter for my sport bike and they had everything I needed on hand. The staff was very knowledgeable and kind. I had them research a couple other parts for me and they had those on hand as well. The price was VERY competitive for having everything on hand. I like to look very thoroughly on parts pricing on the internet before I buy anything and they are priced better than amazon. They have a HUGE selection of gear for on and off road use. If there was a way to give negative stars I would. I had my bike involved in a hit and run a few years back and the left side blinkers were not working, only the right side was operational. They diagnosed it and of course was most expensive fix they could give me besides saying buy a new bike. Pick up my bike to find out now the right side isn't working either and this time the gauge doesn't even show and attempt for the blinkers to work. Didn't trust their call on that giving the fact they had dumped my bike the day I got it and tried to blame me.. Finally found a shop after I moved that I trust enough to look at my bike, mechanic called me and said wires from the harness (yes all wires for blinkers) were disconnected giving zero power and shrink wrapped along with couple others rearranged into the wrong spots. So if you go to them for any mechanical work be highly cautious. read more

For years, Atlantic treated their customers poorly. In fact, their bad attitude was well known in the local community. I made the mistake of buying a Yamaha ATV from them. They treated me so badly that for years I bought my parts from a dealer in West Virginia . I also purchased 2 other ATVS from out of state. Atlantic has new owners, so I decided to give them a try by purchasing parts for an oil change. When the parts didn't fit , I returned them and was given a credit on my debit card......which didn't occur. in other words, I returned the parts but haven't gotten my money back. When I called to discuss the problem, the parts manager told me he "shouldn't have given me my money back". When I pointed out that I haven't gotten my money back, he told me to "take my business to an Arctic Cat dealer in the future". New owners....same old shit. I dropped off a Honda EU3000is generator at Atlantic Cycle in January and didn't get it back until July. Why five stars you ask? I'll tell you why. Being a dealer certified mechanic carries with it a lot of responsibility. You are responsible for fixing products that you did not manufacture - and also dealing with the qualms from customers who have issues with those items. The reason for the delay is because of two reasons -1. A global pandemic, and 2. Honda. Honda delayed responding to Atlantic Cycle, and also "didn't know" what motor to send. I may be mistaken but I think there is only one Honda EU 3000IS associated with the serial number they sent. When ever parts were actually sent, they promptly installed them without delay. Their service, sales and parts department is staffed with great friendly people AND they were very professional. When dealing with Atlantic Cycle (when it pertains to warranty issues) remember there is a third party that is a key player too. read more

This was the worst service experience of my life. Take a seat, I'll try to make this as short as possible. Took my bike there April 4th 2017 because the engine kept cutting off as soon as I released the throttle. I was originally told it was going to take about 3 days, then later told 2 weeks. That's fine... I called 2 weeks later and they told me they ran a bunch of test and couldn't find anything at all so they messaged Kawasaki and that they should get a response in 24hrs and contact me. I waited a couple of days and then decided to contact them. Was told they still didn't have answer yet and are still waiting. It was excuse after excuse after that. Got in contact with the service manager almost a month in and come to find out my bike was never touched, supposedly they fired the worker for it and put someone new on. Waited a couple more days and I was told "your bike might need a valve adjustment which is around $700" told them to do it and was told that it will be a week and I'll get a call. Of course I didn't get a call again so I went in again the 2nd week. I was told "we were going to call you in a few days, your bike might need a valve adjustment which is around $700." told him thats what was said 2 weeks ago, what happened. The excuse, "o, we didn't know that you actually wanted it done and we didn't want to put pressure on you cause we don't want to assume anyone's financial situation." there is several things wrong with this sentence. 1) your already assuming my financial situation if you don't want to tell me something cause it's priced high. 2) if you don't remember telling me anything, then how am I suppose to know if I can afford it or not. 3) if I was having finacial issues, wouldn't it be better to tell me so I can decide to get my bike or find a way to save money to get it fixed?...... Anyway i decided to talk to other mechanics who all believe that a valve adjustment was not needed and it was just an excuse but didn't think I would be able to get my bike back because for them to know it's the valve, they have to break down the bike pretty far which is alot of work. Decided to go back and ask to see my bike and the seat was literally the only thing off for them to charge my battery. I told them I was taking the bike and to get it ready for me. While getting my bike ready they said my front brakes werent operating. I knew something was suspicious cause I literally got my brakes upgraded to steal lines 2 weeks before giving it to them. Told them don't touch anything, I'll get it anyway. They tried to charge me $130 for a diagnostic and refused to pay because my bike was never diagnosed....told them let me see the mechanic notes to see what they actually did. Those couldn't be provided. I didn't pay them a dime. I took it d=own the road to grd who did my brakes.... The mechanic came right outside and tightened a valve by the brakes and my brakes started working again. So they pretty much sabotaged my bike for them to keep it. Grd let me know they started my bike Tuesday morning. The bike was finished Tuesday night. Apparently my throttle cable was loose and they attached it back and it was fine. Atlantic cycle had my bike for 6 weeks, tried to sabotage me and tried to charge me close to $1000 to get my bike done while GRD did it within day for $100. And once again, this is the short version, that's more bull crap added to this that made this experience even worse read more

I stood at the parts counter for nearly 10-minutes. Nobody help. Wrote them for an appointment on their website...no response. Just bad to sad. read more

I was waiting for the new model Suzuki Bandit to come out and check to see if they had any in stock. Salesman was nice enough but clueless. When I asked why the price was 11,999 vs msrp of 8,999 he couldn't explain it. A manager walked over and told me it was a simple matter of supply and demand. Since the supply was hard to get the prices went up accordingly. Decided to wait and went to the parts dept. It is okay for clothing if you are not too picky, but actual parts are almost all ordered at the time of purchase. I can order parts myself and wait for them. Anyway last but not least the following week I was out of town on business. Went into a dealer in KY and they had a few Bandits priced at 8599. Less then msrp. In talking with them they said they have no problems getting any model from the mfr. I will not ever return to Atlantic Cycle. read more
