car "wash" after 85,000mi service....

I called Audi to schedule the 85,000 mile service for my A4. When speaking to the service the department, I asked how much the 85,000mi service would cost. I was told that it would cost $285 and would take 1hr-1hr 15min to complete. When I arrived at Audi, I was told that the cost for the 85,000mi service was actually $360 and would take 2 hrs. This is completely unacceptable to lure clients in with a false quote! Not only did they lie to me about the cost and duration of service but after the car was serviced, it took them an additional 20-30min to "wash" my car. When I got my car back it looked like it had not been washed at all, dirt all over the hood and top of the car and dried water streaks everywhere. Poor business model and service.

At first after reading the reviews, I was skeptical until I spoke to and met Jules the general Manager. I was looking to trade my 2022 Honda CR-V for possibly an Accord Hybrid. There was no pressure nor was there any urgency to buy. I found Jules and his associate Ramal more than open to my questions. Again no pressure. Whatever would work for me was fine. I test drove the Accord and as much as I loved the car, I thought my CRV would be fine for now. I was given my deposit back and told whenever I was ready we are here to assist. I told then in all my years of buying many cars, my experience here was one of the best. Don't go by all the reviews, go and experience what I experienced. Unfortunately they get a poor review because I feel they're always trying to find ways to make money off of people. The services and parts are overpriced. They insist you need services on your car and then when you ask about them they can never provide a concrete explanation on how it's beneficial and worth the high asking price. They once tried to sell me a service for my brakes that wasn't need at all (I took my car to my trustworthy family mechanic of 20+ years to verify ). Honestly, I don't plan on stepping foot in here again and advise you stay away to avoid any headaches and berating from employees because they're trying to tell you what to do with YOUR CAR. Absolutely ridiculous!!

When I went in I expected a negotiation process, but that was not the case here. The truck was priced under book value anyway so I wasn't disappointed with that. After my test drive I saw that the gas light was on. I'm not sure why, but I noticed every used vehicle I test drove had no fuel. After a thorough inspection of the truck I saw that one of the tires were low on tread and I asked them in the nicest way if they can throw in a tire with the deal and the manager said "I'm not doing a thing to that truck, it's priced to sell and if you don't like it I'm positive someone else will" so they passed the inspection with a low tread tire which is illegal, but anyway ...I was still in love with the truck so I purchased it. After I get out of the finance office and all the paper work was signed I go out to my truck and see that it's still dirty, so I asked my salesman if he can throw in a wash and he ignored my question and switched topics. I was graciously rewarded with a 20 dollar fuel voucher, but I think after spending an arm and a leg on a warranty and a non negotiated price, a tank of gas would have been nice along with a good cleaning, but it seemed like once the sale was finalized my existence wasn't that important. All in all this was a typical "ATLANTIC" dealership.

From the moment we interacted with her, her attitude came across as dismissive, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. She carried herself as though she would rather be anywhere else than assisting customers. Neither my friend nor I felt valued, welcomed, or encouraged to return as future customers. What made the experience even more frustrating was how she handled questions regarding the vehicle's service and the issues I expressed concern about. No diagnosis was completed to determine what was actually wrong with the vehicle. I understand that dealerships typically charge a diagnostic fee to investigate vehicle issues, and I have no problem paying for a service when it is properly explained and handled. However, Tasha insisted that I pay $225 upfront before she would proceed with the diagnostic, without making any attempt to contact my extended warranty provider to determine whether the cost could be covered. After contacting my extended warranty provider myself, I was informed that the dealership should have attempted to submit the diagnostic for coverage before requiring me to pay the fee upfront. Instead of making that effort, Tasha dismissed the possibility of contacting the warranty company altogether, stating that they would not answer because it was Saturday. She did not attempt to call, verify the coverage requirements, or explore any available options. She simply refused to proceed with the diagnostic unless I paid the $225 upfront. As a result, the issues I raised with the vehicle remained undiagnosed. This was particularly frustrating because I had an extended warranty specifically to help cover eligible vehicle repairs and related expenses. I would have expected a service advisor to make a reasonable effort to understand the warranty process and help determine what was covered rather than immediately dismissing the option and insisting on an out-of-pocket payment. Additionally, the overall interaction felt more focused on finding additional services to charge for than on genuinely helping the customer understand the vehicle's needs. There was very little effort to explain options, address concerns, or provide the kind of guidance one would expect from a dealership service department. Having previously worked in a dealership myself, I understand how important customer service, transparency, and professionalism are to the overall service experience. I also understand that dealership pricing is often higher than other service options. When customers are willing to pay those prices, they reasonably expect a level of customer care that justifies the additional expense. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we received. I cannot speak to how long Tasha has worked there, but based on our interaction, her approach to customer service left a great deal to be desired. Customers should not feel like an inconvenience simply for asking questions, expressing concerns about their vehicles, or trying to understand their warranty coverage. First impressions matter, and this experience did not leave me wanting to establish a long-term relationship with this dealership. Management should take this feedback seriously and review both the customer service provided and how extended warranty claims and diagnostic fees are being handled. A dealership's reputation depends not only on the quality of its service work but also on the professionalism, transparency, and willingness to help demonstrated by the people representing the business.

He had an elderly gentleman with him who was hard of hearing. Peter was so kind and sympathetic and extremely accommodating with this man. I knew I was in good hands. I sat with Peter and told him my lease was almost up and my price point. He went right to work showing me my options. I decided on the Chevy Trax, but didnt know what features I wanted and what would fit into my price range. Peter showed me EVERY option available without making me feel like I was taking up too much of his time. I could tell he wanted to make sure I was happy with what I decided on. I not only decided on a BEAUTIFUL Chevy Trax Activ, but I got a price that I couldnt believe! I was able to pick the car up the next day. Having previously been in the automotive industry (service) for 18 years, I am more than familiar with the "salesman pitch" that you would normally get. With Peter there was no salesman persona, no spiel, no pitch, and I was more than grateful for that. That is an instant turn-off. Upon completing all the paperwork the following day, Peter showed me every feature of my new Trax and how to use them. He set up the app for my phone and made sure I knew how to use everything. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will recommend Arnold Chevrolet again and again. I am now a proud member of the Arnold family. Thank you Arnold Chevrolet, and most of all THANK YOU Peter!
