It's been a long couple of weeks since I purchased my 2012 Honda Civic on 8/16/19 - from sales; to finance; to management.
Quoted me a cost for the car and added $1,000 to that cost and called it a TRAN warranty - which by Law they were supposed to provide. Today I received a contact stating, cost of warranty $0.00 - that's because they billed ME, when they SHOULD HAVE NOT!!!
Fred, salesman, insured the wrong vehicle, I had to straighten out that mess. Then Fred checks off NV as the state where I live, good thing I caught that mistake, I live in NY.
August 16, 2019 I gave them a down payment and NO PAPERWORK WAS GIVEN TO ME at the time of sale - and when I asked Fred to send me a copy, he replies, "I don't have access to your file"! Since the car was a 2012 Honda Civic, low mileage, there were scratches. When I picked up the car no attempt was made to remove scratches, as they said they would. I had to come back the next day because they didn't have the correct pad. Next day I waited two hours and no sign of the worker - I asked Bob, is he coming in, "we hope so, we need him"!!! So they let me wait all that time and didn't know if he was coming in!!!
I decided to have a car alignment on the car since it had 16,500 miles on it and didn't know the history of the car. I went to Firestone, I always had a lifetime alignment contract with them in the past. ONE back tire was WORN, and tires side-by-side have to match, so it cost me $300 to replace them. Yet they let me drive away with a bad tire and had an inspection sticker on the car. I would have NEVER realized the tire was bad if I didn't go to Firestone for the alignment! Very Dangerous situation!
Babylon Honda only gave me ONE KEY - it cost me $178 for the 2nd key. Can't forget this, two screws on one license plate were hard to remove, so Fred, the salesman bend the plate back and forth and broke it off the frame of my OLD CAR!!!! (as I yelled at him, "what are you doing to my plate"!!! Other stuff transpired, but I'll bring you up to my encounter with Troy, Manager. I started off with, "I've had a horrible experience dealing with Babylon Honda" - he immediately replies, "Just like what I'm having now" - WHAT??? - with me!!!!! That's how they speak to a customer!!! Never ONCE, AN APOLOGY throughout all which transpired!!!!
In summary it cost me $1,478 more than I had to for warranty (which I told finance I didn't want any warranties) tires and extra key. Troy, "how do we know it was our tire that was bad, Firestone wanted to sell you tires"! I had pictures and everything. Here's another point, Finance had different loan payment rates with different warranties - I said, "this is something that had to be discussed with me prior to signing paperwork and do you have anything in writing as to what these warranties include???? NO THEY DON'T! I said, I don't WANT any warranties!!!!!
In Summary, Troy, "don't think we are giving you any money back"!!!!
He was so arrogant!!!! Me being an older woman didn't help matters!!!!!
