Arnold Chevy was an amazing car shopping experience from start to finish! Ive had my honda civic for 18years, so I was apprehensive changing dealers and car makes. But unlike every other dealer ive looked into Arnold Chevy was NOT pushy or "salesy" at all! They helped us immediately and made the process go so smoothly and thoroughly! I worked with Peter Tarantino and he was such a Joy to work with! Let me test drive 2 cars, and gave me the best option within my budget without negotiating or pushing for money! The financial department was equally as thorough and clear with everything! I couldnt be happier with my Chevy Trax and would recommend Arnold Chevy to anyone needing an affordable and strong car! read more

Arnold Chevrolet - Peter staged this perfect photo op. Out with the old IN with the BLUE - Car Dealers Near Me - West Babylon, New York

Very disappointed! Do not trust these guys to do what you pay them to do. Brought my Silverado in for their advertised oil change and tire rotation special. When they finished, I paid and went outside to drive my truck away and noticed that they did not rotate tires. Went back inside to tell the service writer. He went to get technician. He came back with the technician and told me that he "didn't do the rotation because the better tires were on the rear" of the 15,704 mile truck. A nonsense excuse! That's all the more reason to rotate the tires! It is just plain lazy and dishonest! None of this was discussed with me until I came back in to complain. This is the second Chevy Dealer on Long Island that I had this exact problem with on two separate vehicles in less than a year. After having the problem before, I discreetly mark my wheels before bringing my vehicles in for service. That's good practice to make sure the dealer service department is doing what they are charging you for. I highly recommend that anyone bringing their vehicle in for this service do the same. read more

I visited Arnold Chevrolet after a not so great experience at a larger Chevrolet dealer. From the moment I walked in I knew I would be in good hands with Peter Tarantino. He had an elderly gentleman with him who was hard of hearing. Peter was so kind and sympathetic and extremely accommodating with this man. I knew I was in good hands. I sat with Peter and told him my lease was almost up and my price point. He went right to work showing me my options. I decided on the Chevy Trax, but didnt know what features I wanted and what would fit into my price range. Peter showed me EVERY option available without making me feel like I was taking up too much of his time. I could tell he wanted to make sure I was happy with what I decided on. I not only decided on a BEAUTIFUL Chevy Trax Activ, but I got a price that I couldnt believe! I was able to pick the car up the next day. Having previously been in the automotive industry (service) for 18 years, I am more than familiar with the "salesman pitch" that you would normally get. With Peter there was no salesman persona, no spiel, no pitch, and I was more than grateful for that. That is an instant turn-off. Upon completing all the paperwork the following day, Peter showed me every feature of my new Trax and how to use them. He set up the app for my phone and made sure I knew how to use everything. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will recommend Arnold Chevrolet again and again. I am now a proud member of the Arnold family. Thank you Arnold Chevrolet, and most of all THANK YOU Peter! read more

This is my 3rd time dealing with this dealership. So I'm giving my opinion from several different visits. I bought a Buick Encore when they first came out. Great little car. Salesperson was honest & forthright. I recommended them to a friend a couple years back & they bought a beautiful Camaro that they were thrilled with and loved their saleswoman. This time it was my son who was in desperate need of a vehicle. His baby Cruze went caplooey and after dumping several thousand dollars into it, he realized it was a lost cause. After visiting several different dealerships & trying to buy a certified used truck to no avail. In steps Ralph from Arnold who quoted us with a decent price. And the money out of Pocket was just that. No up charge. No extra add ons. No pressure. Everything went well and they were patient & accommodating. Thanks Ralph & Jim. My son is VERY happy with his new pickup. 10-30-2020 read more

This business is a terrible neighbor, they let there garbage fly all around the neighborhood and refuse to take any measures to take care of the problem. When I went in the business to ask for help they basically told us, not our problem, blame the garbage men. If they treat there own neighbors so poorly, think how much they care about you. There are many Chevy dealerships on Long Island, this one clearly doesn't care about its community and that means you. read more

Customer Service and better sales experience When I purchase a car it is not just about price

Service Department is excellent! I overpaid for my vehicle because of the manufactured chip shortage. That's on me, but Arnold took full advantage. Put $4,500 down, they took my lease with 27,000 owed, but worth 41,000 retail and my car payment is 730/ month for a Tahoe that's practically stripped of extras- just some bogus details with the Z71 badging. Again, I'm acknowledging that I could have walked away from such a raw deal. I tried my best to get the lowest payments, but they played their hand and won. I'll never go here again. read more

I've used this dealership prior for one Lease/Trade In and oil changes. Overall I am very pleased with their work ethic and honesty. I've always used Ron Wood, who won't let me leave without getting close to the deal I want. He's a genuine and down to earth guy not looking to get one over on anyone. He's will to work with you and make you happy for the deal you are looking for. I really liked my previous Buick Verano and just picked up a new car today. I hope to use this dealership again in the future once my lease is up. read more

I contacted this dealership for a black Cherry chevy trax. I texted with Ozzie who told me they had this car available. I asked fr a breakdown of the numbers this was back on 2/25/23. I received no response. Then I get an email from a Christina a month later asking me if I was still looking for a car. Smh terrible salesmanship. I'm pretty sure they never even had the car on the lot. Never heard back poor business practices. They missed out big time I had a trade in with 3900 miles on it in excellent condition. All these Chevy dealerships are the same a horror story unprofessional liars and baitswitchers and Chevrolet corporate could care less. Ask yourself why these dealerships have 2 stars or less reviews on Yelp. Buyers should not have to go through this hell when shopping for a car. read more

Arnold Chevrolet - Sent this message never heard back again - Car Dealers Near Me - West Babylon, New York

I would give no stars if I could. they do not care once you buy the vehicle and leave. There was an extension of warranty letter sent to them (they owned my truck prior to me as I bought it pre owned!) anyway, the letter was from GM stating faulty condenser for AC. The sold me the truck, without advising me of this issue and never fixed it. Now they want me to pay to fix it. They thought offering me 20% after GMs offer of 30% would work. Seriously, they need to fix this for free. Unreal. Rude. Nasty. Never again will do business with them. Will not refer them either. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! read more

Service dept wasn't good, brought car there for repairs and they said it would be done the next day, which I was ok with then the next day when it was supposed to be done it still wasn't finished, but instead of them calling me to advise me of this I had to call them to find this out. Keep you customers updated with the status of the repairs. read more

This is an excellent honest dealership. At present I am only commenting on sales. Needed a new truck. Decided on a Silverado. My salesman Henry M. was fantastic. After explaining what I wanted, he was very up front. To have my truck my way I needed to order one. At a dealership in Huntington, all they wanted to do was take a deposit an hold my money ransom. "Subject to dealer locate" they called it. Basically it takes you out of the market till they wear you down to take something off the lot. I'm too old for that. Arnold Chevrolet ordered a truck for me. Told me six to eight weeks. I got it in six. As far as my trade in, I was told they would have to re-appraise when I came back. No problem. They honored their original appraisal. Henry was there when I picked it up. He explained everything. Great salesman. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

Wow, thank GOD for Arnold Chevy and Chris. After totaling my car I was in a frenzy trying to buy a car. My fiancé urged me to go to Arnold Chevy (as he leases his car from them) to see what deals they had. Chris took us in and helped me break down costs of both a lease AND a purchase. He was great in trying to find the available rebates and whatever other deals were available at the time. I WAS SO LUCKY that we met him because I ended up getting the exact car that I wanted. Horrible people, con artists liars go anywhere but this place. They lie to your face and take your money to bring in and Purchase a new vehicle, then refuse to give it back even after GM higherups have to get involved. From Lew the salesman to the owners their all just some old fashioned Scam artists that want nothing but your money without ever delivering a product Or service. I gave them a chance to do the right thing, but they preferred for me to "do what I gotta do", well as promised I'm letting anyone know to avoid this place like the pandemic. I'm an return buyer from this business, yet they still tried to rob me, and even lied to the higher ups at GM after they had to open not one but two investigations into this dealership as well! Even after acknowledging that this dealership lied to two different GM representatives, even GM didn't help me one bit, instead they ruled in favor of the dealership, WTF?! Thankfully my bank opened a Fraud investigation and found Arnold Chevrolet guilty of credit card fraud and Thankfully i was able to maintain the funds as they lost in their lame attempt to take my money. Next time you scam artists try and screw a new or returning customer dont forget you will get what you deserve in the end. This horrible experience ended up costing me Stress beyond belief for FOUR months and also cost me money because I had to go to a Reputable honorable dealer nearby and settle for a vehicle they had on the lot to be able to still receive the year end rebates. Inexcusable behavior and no words can describe what a Horrible experience this was, Shame on you all Arnold Chevrolet! read more

I bought a new truck from Lew Mittleman a week ago. Not only was he professional and courteous but very friendly and personable making it easy to give him and his establishment my business. Went to Arnold Chevy after seeing a used truck for sale on the internet . First off let me say that in my past experience in other dealers, I was ready for some kind of gimmick to get me to buy the car cheap but pay some crazy interest rate or get told that the price was some thing different. Any way I go to Arnold to see this truck and from the moment I walked in I was treated very nicely . There was no gimmicks we came to a price both parties were satisfied with . When I picked up the truck I offered financing and some other warranty items but when I said no thank you there was no pushy salesman trying to get more money out of me . The salesman who sold me the truck took his time to show me all the features and walk around the truck with me . All around it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a Chevy. read more

What a fiasco and a bit of a scam is what is happening at Arnold Buick Chevrolet. Our salesman, Peter, was very good, he was informative and very on top of the entire car buying process for our daughter. HOWEVER, when you leave your salesman to go sit with the finance manager, DAVE, buyer beware. He will get you talking about all kinds of nonsensical things- a great tactic to get your thoughts of this huge purchase in front of you. He then starts up this very intriguing screen on the front of his desk - all very state of the art and again distracting. The problems start when he brings up all of the wonderful advantages that are on offer - dent - no problem -completely replaced, scratch-no problem, like new. They do it all! So we are thinking wow this sounds fantastic. He pulls up on his magic screen - 3 different payment options for you to decide on. All varying of course in price - he is pushing us for the very top dollar option, and we are looking at the very lowest dollar option. He leads us to believe that these are the only 3 options we have, so of course, we pick deal #3, the lowest price payment. He then frowns, and I am thinking, what did we just do, did we make the wrong choice, can we go back. Honestly, it was all very overwhelming. All this while, we can't help but keep thinking that this monthly payment is way higher than we had originally thought, but they have you, so you go with it. That was on us- total blame on us as we fell for it hook, line and sinker. NEVER once did this man, Dave, say we could decline these options and get a lower payment, which was what we kept asking him for. We left his office feeling a bit bewildered. I started doing some calculations on my phone, while we were waiting to finish up everything. At no time at all were we handed any hard paper copies of the paperwork. These were mysteriously placed in the driver manual handbook....hmmmm sounds a bit fishy. We did not realize they were there until we got home. Upon inspection of these documents, we discovered that the option we choice, the big bargain option #3, was in fact an extended service warranty option. NOT NEEDED AT ALL. I called Dave immediately, and asked him to explain. He told me that this is the warranty, still trying to make me believe that this is the Chevy warranty, not his dealer extended warranty package. I told him we were not interested in any extended warranty. He point blank told me that he has never in all of his years ever sold a car without an extended warranty and that we were making a huge mistake. I could care less about his stats, we wanted to be treated fairly and we weren't. This is dishonest - plain and simple. He made us come immediately back in to the office to change the contract, he told us we had 2 hours to get there. When we arrived, he was busy scamming someone else, so we had to wait. Finally getting back in to see him, he did not acknowledge us, he told my daughter to sign the big magic screen again and her payment went down by $60 a month. That's more like it! The crazy ending to this ridiculous experience, was when we asked about getting the new paperwork, he starting hitting his copy machine and looking in the paper drawer and then proceeded to tell us his copy machine just died on him. I mean, you have got be kidding me, it was actually comical, we then had to wait another 15 minutes to get our paperwork. It is sad actually, because we live pretty far out on the island and when we saw this car located at Arnold Buick, I thought, wow my Dad bought all of his Buicks there his whole life, must be a good sign. Think again my friend, think again. read more

I bought a car from John Locascio (I think) about a week ago. (No really, it was about a week ago.) It is a new Buick Encore, and the car and the dealer were both AMAZING. Buick LaCrosse was my first choice and dream car until I was showed a** by this dealership. I approached them through cars.com. They had a 2014 Buick LaCrosse. I had got interested in the car with low mileage and good price. Mr. Henry the assigned salesman took us to a test drive which I appreciated. Next step was to sit down and do the paper work like most of us do. Once Henry realized my credit score was not great and I was a foreigner because my license says some status thing, his face turned red and same guy who was polite and told us, "the dealership works with 8 banks" almost 10 minutes ago, showed me eyes balls and yelled at me STOP when I was filling up the forms. I swiped the credit card for few hundreds as a security deposit which meant I was willing to finance the car. What does he say now? 1-They don't help with financing the vehicle we have to do it on our own. 2-You are a foreigner and what if you go back to your Country. I could read hate on his forehead. *Here you lack professionalism, Mr. Henry! I assume by your last name, "your Italian ancestry". Did your parents or grand parents go back? A scumbag like you shouldn't be in sales. I have been travelled to 15 Countries in the world before moving permanently to U.S which proves I came from a strong financial background. I was young and NYC lifestyle could not help me to be very responsible with my credit which is pretty common among young Americans. I have been living here legally since 2007. I got a Cadillac CTS Luxury AWD from a NJ dealership with flawless body, They did every thing and mailed in the number plates and registration and I hope they train mean sales persons like you. I should've looked at the reviews before I came to the dump and wasted my time.
