I have been driving 32 years and over that time have purchased many cars. We needed to get a nice safe used car for my son. I did weeks of research with pricing, different cars and extensive dealership reviews. Frontline had predominantly positive reviews and a car in my price range. EVERY other dealership and I MEAN every, other dealership would have a price but fine print would always be "after $3000 down" etc. so in reality they are listing low to get you In and hoping you don't notice fine print. Frontline Auto , the price is the price. Went there and spoke with Artie. He was very helpful, down to earth and Zero pressure. None . We drove the car. Liked the car. Asked some questions and after I got my insurance taken care of got cashiers check bought car that's it. Went over final details with Dennis his partner, also was great. Offered extended warranty , but I declined for now. And that was it. So to recap. Honest dealership. No pressure , good prices. would buy a car again. This place is honest. They couldn't have fixed my car and got over a grand out of me like every place else I was bringing the car but this place told me to junk my car because the rust underneath was so bad it wasn't worth fixing. I took their advice because they provided detailed photos of how bad under my car was. They charged me nothing for all the photos and time they took to look at it. Beyond happy with our experience buying a used car at Frontline. Very fair pricing, friendly and honest staff, good selection of cars. I was able to see the car at their repair & detailing shop first, where mechanic Josue had thoroughly inspected it. He explained and showed me the car in great detail, even elevating it so we could check everything under the car together. They were happy to have another, 3rd party mechanic inspect the car before buying and even helped us by driving the car to the nearby mechanic of our choice for it. At no point was anyone pushy or rushing us like many other used car dealers. And the kicker: no dealer fees. We found Frontline after 10 long days of visiting used car dealerships and it was by far the best experience we had. A 5 star + establishment. Best and most surprising car- buying experience of my life. They are as professional and organized as a large new car dealer and are more honest and helpful than any other dealer I know of. They have a very large number of cars. They allow and encourage you to test drive their cars until you find the one for you. I was shopping for an SUV. I spent an entire weekend driving their autos and asking questions. They also allow you to take any car on their lot to your own mechanics to check out. They also will repair any issue the car has if you purchase it. In my case, my mechanic checked my car pre- purchase. He told me everything is good but brakes will need to be replaced fairly soon, which Frontline did when I bought it to their attention. Its up to you to insure that your purchase is working. Another advantage is that they do not charge any fees. I strongly recommend that you consider them for a used auto purchase. I am updating this review because we have had to come back here 2 more times. But for reasons on my sons end, NOT because of any other reason. 1. The car needed work that was covered partially by the warranty that came with the car, but son misplaced all his paperwork & had to contact Steve again so he could get the warranty info. Steve of course obliged with no problem. Son got car fixed & the mechanics said that what happened to the car is a common problem with the car he bought, but otherwise, the car is in great shape. So now that it's fixed he shouldn't have any problems. Yaaay! 2. Son never received payment book & doesn't know who he is supposed to pay or when. Ummm...call Steve! A month later I'm asking him same question so I drive down there. It's a snowy day today & Steve is parking cars. He smiles asks how he can help me. He stops what he's doing to go inside & get the info for me. Very nice of him considering the weather conditions today. And the fact that my lackadaisical son lost his paperwork. This is not your average used car dealership! I bought my Jeep from Steve at Frontline, not only did they have the best comparable price to any other local used dealer, they were more than willing to make any necessary repairs. All used cars have some sort of issue and most dealers wont talk to you after the sale is made. At frontline they took the car in and fixed even the minor issues at no cost. Sent an inquiry via email, no response. Went in with my daughter and expressed interest in one of the cars. First we were told to look around, salesperson couldn't show us anything because he was by himself. When we went into the shop, another man was sitting there as well. The strangest car buying experience ever! I stopped by Frontline unannounced to look at a car they advertised. Had a good conversation with Steve and, due to a pending snow storm, I asked if I can come back after the storm and take it for a drive. He said certainly, just give me a call a half our before so I can have it ready for you. After I got home I spoke with Steve again asking how long after tomorrow's snow storm would the lot be ready. He said they would have it ready in a day and I can test drive it anytime afterwards, just let him know when I was coming. So today I took a half day off of work and gave Steve a call. Tony answered and said Steve was out until Tuesday, but he could help me. I told him Steve and I were having conversations about a particular car and could I come in and test drive it. He said sure. I said I'll be there in about half an hour. When I arrived I was surprised to see the car was not ready to test drive and was still blocked in. I went inside and introduced myself to Tony. After the hello's, Tony asked me if I spoke price with Steve, and I said, "no, I have not driven the car yet". He then stated there's no sense in doing that if the numbers don't work, so what are you looking to spend; I was taken a bit by surprise, but told him a budget number. He then did his calculator work and said it wouldn't work, there not enough room. I reminded him that I haven't driven the car yet and would like to do so. He said there's no use doing that if the numbers don't work. I said, "Ok, have a good day", and I left. Now, in my opinion, both car prices and budgets are negotiable; I just wanted to drive the car and see how much I like it before I start putting money on the table. I had not even seen the inside yet! Honestly, it seemed that Tony just didn't want to sell me this car. Maybe a relative wants it, or because Steve initiated the sale he wouldn't get commission? Puchase a Honda last winter, called to let them know I never received the registration or title. When I went to the DMV. I was told they used a wrong address. They had it right on everything but the DMV information. I called back. They were nasty and took the position of. Get us receipts and we will give you a refund. I did the register which Didn't get a receipt for because I didn't know I would need one. I said I have to go and wait, for who knows how long because of your mistake and you want me to send you the receipt. Which I have to pay postage for instead of just sending me a refund. Makes no since. The joke is I had just told my friend to go there and buy her car. After that I told her to go some place else! It's the little things. I still haven't gone back to DMV. To get the title. When I do I will be sending in the receipt. Not a happy customer! I live in Nassau not Suffolk. read more

And the salesman was down right disrespectful and obnoxiously rude telling me my car has to many mechanical problems and is nowhere near book value and that I'd be lucky if he even gave me half of what it says my cars worth. As a single parent and a woman, I had a great experience with Frontline. I had never bought a car from a "smaller" dealership before and I was leery. But everyone I came in contact with was super nice and helpful. Ivan, Joe, and the woman (sorry, I forgot your name) were easy to work with. The entire process was very quick compared to a large "big box" dealership. Once I picked out the vehicle I wanted the entire process took less than an hour. They seemed very nice on the phone but lied about the condition of the vehicle even after I specifically asked a question about the rust. I traveled 2hr 30 min because he assured me it was immaculate. He said the vehicle was spotless when it was obviously covered in rust, had several dents, and uneven body lines. The dealerships shop repaired the bed and left a huge piece of bondo underneath it also did a terrible job painting it leaving drip marks and primer over spray on the whole bed side. He said he would call me back in 15 minutes, but didn't so I called him back an hour later and he still did not have an answer for me. The sales person said he'd call me back in a few minutes ...once again... and didn't so I had to text him. He said he would call me when the vehicle was ready for me to come look at it and never did. I had to contact HIM. Then when he came out to talk to us he did not look up off of his phone. Untrustworthy and didn't seem to care. read more

Had to do an update..last review was left in January...at this point I have been convinced I was sold a lemon...Have had to make almost 2,000 in repairs for things like a faulty cluster (internal car temp. does not display correctly)...sealing of the windshield...(when it rains water floods underneath the passenger floorboard)...there was even a delay when I first purchased the vehicle because it needed to have a coolant leak repaired...months later the coolant is leaking again...tires are suffering from dry rot...its really all a shame because i truly wanted to like these guys but I was honestly left with a regrettable first car purchase experience...to top it all off, there was very little negotiation in the purchase price of the car when I was first trying to buy the vehicle, yet here I am driving a car that is constantly having to be taken back to the mechanic. The guys themselves were always respectful and kind throughout...but do not call me to take down my review when I AM the one suffering. You may get a one star review on yelp, but I am the one with a problem-infested car (granted that was my fault for not doing more research and being a better negotiator). read more
