You can have them do your repair, purchase parts from them, or just show them a picture so they can advise you. We are getting a building ready for an inspection and future sale and the AC broke in the middle of a 100 plus degree heat wave. I brought the part in with a bent wheel and they had the part I needed in stock. They were willing to put it on but some of the bolts were rusted on. Instead they worked with me on the price. An hour after arriving back with the part the AC was back up and running. I love supporting family owned businesses like this one. They are knowledgeable, honest, and charge fairly. This morning I called Atlantic AC Supply asking if they had wall vents for my apartment. I gave them the measurements and they confirmed availability. So at 2:00 PM I went there to buy them. I purchased four vents for a reasonable price and came back home to install them. I installed the one in the master bedroom and the one in the great room. When I went to install the third one, I realized that one of the flaps was missing it place. I checked the last one I had bought and it was in the same condition. I decided to go back immediately, and when I arrived, the store owner immediately asked me what was wrong. I approached him and showed the problem. At that moment the lady who took care of me when I did the purchased, immediately said that the vent had fallen and that someone had damaged it. I told her that I was the only person in my house and that I hadn't even opened the vent's packaging. The woman started manipulating the vent, trying to bend the sides to fix the problem, to which I replied that I would prefer a new one. The store owner angrily refused. He said he had carefully handed them to me and they were in perfect condition. He said I had taken them out of the box and everything seemed normal. I replied that I had taken one out to check the screws and see if they matched (comparing) the used ones I had brought, which the woman confirmed. The owner started yelling. I told him there was no need for that, and he continued yelling, telling he knew people like me. I replied that he didn't, that he didn't know who I am, and finished by telling him that I am a decent man. At that point, I felt it was appropriate to leave the store to prevent things from escalating. The truth is, I feel I've been scammed. There was no intention of accepting defective parts from the beginning, which violates consumer rights. I definitely cannot recommend them, but this will not go unpunished. I am going to file a complaint with the small business bureau because there is no justification for the kind of treatment I received. It's not about the nearly $70.00 that was stolen, it's about the trust one can have in a business that doesn't provide the support that every consumer is entitled to, not to mention the rudeness with which I was treated. read more

I needed two fuses for my AC unit and called them to make sure they had what I needed. They checked and said yes they had them. When I walked into the store there were no other customers and two guys working behind the counter, who greeted me. They checked my old fuses and confirmed that they were bad which was great. When they were ringing up my purchase they said that I could not return the fuses and I asked what if they don't work. They tested the new one so I could see that they did indeed work. My name is Regan and I was having an issue with my fan motor and I wasn't sure if it was the fan motor going bad or if it was the capacitor. The owner educated me on how to test the capacitor and it tested good but it was corroded. He told me to bring the fan motor in and he checked it and it was bad. He disassembled it and put the cage and the fan blades on the new one. He wired it up with the proper connectors and showed me what wires to connect the correct way because the previous person who worked on the AC unit didn't do it properly. He was kind enough to throw in a new capacitor because I was on a tight budget. He tested it and it ran perfectly. I went home and installed it exactly the way he told me to and it was running and blowing cold air immediately. This really helped me out and made my landlord very happy with me. I'm a contractor that just moved here from Texas and I will only be using Atlantic AC Supply house for all my AC needs. I came in to purchase a control board, willing to take a gamble on that being an issue with the blower in my air handler (turning off and on by itself, then later failing to come on at all). They talked me out of purchasing the control board, saying it was more often the motor itself and offering to test it for me if I brought it in. Sure enough, they were right! The fact that they would forfeit a sale and take the gamble that I would come back to them for the correct part speaks volumes for their integrity (the control board isn't returnable, so I would have had to purchase the motor either way). The fact that they caught my mistake at the checkout counter speaks volumes for their knowledge and experience. Given this and their competitive prices (to online prices, sans shipping), it's clear they were not trying to rip me off, just build a loyal customer base..and that is what they have done! This business charges outrages prices. Prices are more than double than competitors elsewhere. almost triple of online pricing. For example a super boost spp6 $10.60 at supply house online $36.05 plus tax at Atlantic supply. Capacitors at Grainger and Johnstone supply $10. -$15. I was charged 32.22 plus tax. This business is not entitled to the presumption of fair pricing. They are a classic over charger to unwitting customers. Buyer beware shop for parts elsewhere. When confronted about pricing the alleged owner cut off the conversation with rambling excuses and hung up. read more

Extremely honest business here. It's been awhile since I fixed an air conditioner so my skills got a little rusty. I misdiagnosed a good capacitor as a bad one. I brought with me the capacitor in question and they tested it as good. I was right away able to see how I misdiagnosed it with a simple mistake. (I blame that on passage of time and forgetful memory). Anyways the problem at the end turned out to be the compressor. I highly recommend anyone to bring in their part in question to this business. If it's not the problem, they will test it and tell you. If it is the problem they will sell you a direct replacement. That's a win win. read more

The service can be a little bit rush and pushy as well but the worst part it'; when they said do it yourself you buy the parts and all the stuff they recommend and when it's time to do a returns or another question of the items the had been already purchased FORGET IT. Once i walked in the store i was on the phone finishing a call and he yelled from the other side seeing me on the phone "Hello" with an attitude your video will show that. After troubleshooting my A/C problem myself, I had trouble finding a company that would sell me a fan motor without being a contract repairman. Cheapest repairman was going to be $300, even after I told them what was wrong. $300 for 4 nuts and 3 wire connections. Ended up finding Atlantic Supply who sold me a motor for $125.77 out the door. Even gave me zip-ties and crimped on terminals to the wires. Then they explained the difference in the wiring for the new unit. Now the wife is back to being happy with a cool house. Had issues with my Trane A/C system for over 4 days and had 2 different technicians look into it with no luck. Went into the store to purchase a new part we though was broken, they teated it and insisted on me not buying the part. This actually happened several times where they advise me not to purchase the parts the technicians thought were broken and saved me hundreds of dollars. Atlantic Air on powerline road is the best place to go not just for parts but for the superior knowledge of the people who work there. When my AC broke down, I knew very little on what to do and dreaded calling an AC technician because they always charge an arm and a leg. When I looked at my unit the fan wasn't turning and there was a humming noise and wires were burned out. With very little knowledge on fixing AC units, I went to Atlantic Air on what parts I would need and of course the technician Casey was extremely knowledgeable and told me to take pictures of the unit and the burned-out wires, Casey told me to bring in the 2 old capacitors and the burned-out switch for testing to see if they were bad and of course they were bad and sold me both capacitors and a new switch for around 65. What a bargain and even attached new wires at no extra charge to replace the burned out ones. When I got home with the new parts Casey stayed on the phone with me and instructed me on what to do it took me a couple of hours but I got everything back in place the way they are supposed to go I kept sending him pictures and if something was wired wrong he would explain how to wire it properly and I finally got it right then 2 of the main wires going into the box wasn't working either so he told me to bring in the 60 amp breaker for testing and when I brought it in it was also bad and was over 20 years old and when the wires burned out it destroyed the main breaker and the wires going into the box wasn't powering the fan or compressor. He happened to have one in stock and when I brought it home I hooked it up and plugged in the new breaker and of course Casey stayed on the phone the whole time directing me on what to do. He even stayed on the phone past closing and made sure I hooked up everything right. When I switched on the new breaker the whole unit compressor and fan ran very strong and immediately cooled off my house. By directing me on what to do he saved me over 800. dollars because an AC Technion would have charged me around that to do everything that Casey instructed me to do myself and I would not been able to do it if he hadn't been so patient and stayed on the phone with me the whole time. Before calling a technician and paying through the nose call Atlantic air and talk to the experts and you will save a bundle by doing yourself with there help. Especially Casey he was very patient and very knowledgeable. I now have cold air by doing it myself at a fraction of the cost that an AC technician would have charged me. Would never recommend this company. I bought multiple air conditioning duct covers. Salesman told me not to remove the shrink wrap from any of them or they couldn't refund my money. I didn't need one of the covers, so I brought it back with shrink wrap intact. On returning the cover, the salesman wouldn't refund the item, but only give me store credit, which I didn't need. When I questioned him on the refund policy he said it was clearly written on the receipt. Of course, you are only aware of this after you buy an item, so they never have to refund money. On top of that, he charged me a 25% restocking fee, which was also written on the receipt. I have always been a proponent of patronizing local businesses, but I would never buy from this company again. When I asked the salesman why they did not return the money he gave me an inane answer about not wanting to sell anything they would have to take back. Duh. My advice: patronize this company only if every other company has gone out of business. The real answer is greed and a disregard for the customer. read more
