I dont know what the future holds for me dancing. However for the foreseeable future this is a healthy place for me to be. The teachers are really good. Its also nice to see people come out of their shells. I have never seen such a safe emotional environment. Its so pleasant that its humbling. When you see all the trophies on the shelves you see it did not come from cracking a whip, but from loving guidance and direction (which may include some whip cracking but they whip you gently so you welcome it). I have never seen so many healthy ppl in my life. The men and women at Dance 411 have redefined humanity for me. While there are different personalities there is a cohesion among the ppl running the place that is really noteworthy. I wanted to check them out before bringing my kid. Now my child has started and Im addicted to going. When I saw how much my social skills improved I wanted the same for my child. Ill go as long as she is happy going. And if she stops I may still go :) Its that pleasant. Oh and they are good! Ladies dont be afraid to let your sons or significant others come here. These ppl athletes the flow is not nightclub. Its a very healthy environment for men because since all the men view you as a potential partner they treat you like you might work together someday. I hve never been in an environment that nurtured my masculinity in a healthy way. And in our society its challenging to mingle with people closely. The environment provides a safe platform to learn about human behavior and in turn have more fun being a human. You will hear popular dance classics like ciara, Classical, Jazz, and the trappiest hiphop all in one place. I have learned to hear new types of music. My emotional IQ is skyrocketing which is helping me to advance at work. I feel like I listen to music in four dimensions now. Since I started I cant stop listening to music. Its kind of a problem. Like I need to do other things. But Everything feels new. Some music that sounded like noise to me sounds amazing because they are teaching me to listen. Good place. I am learning a lot. Including vulnerability. in writing this review :)

It's really easy to spot the location as you approach the shopping plaza from the south, and it took me less than 5 minutes to get here from I-285. The studio is nicely decorated, giving a comfy, welcoming feeling when you enter. This is in stark contrast to some studios I've gone to that are basic and drab. There is only space for one class at a time, but the floor is huge! I'm thinking there would be more than enough room for a class of 30 people. There are barres (the portable kind) for hosting ballet classes, and weights of all sizes for fitness classes. The floor is kind of slippery, so if you tend to dance barefoot a lot and have soft feet (like me - definitely slipped a couple times lol) I'd suggest to at least wear some jazz footies with a grip bottom. There is ample cubbie space to store your belongings during class. There's even a good amount of waiting room for parents if you're looking to hold a class for children. Also there is a dressing room in addition to one unisex bathroom. On my way out, I spoke to the owner who was extremely friendly and mentioned that the studio has several time slots open for rentals at the moment. Dance instructors - check this place out!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dance With Me!…read more My fiancé and I have wanted to take dance classes for years, and we were thrilled to start our lessons here. Coming in with practically zero dance experience--and not much natural rhythm--I initially felt self-conscious and intimidated, but the incredibly kind and welcoming staff put me at ease right away. We've had lessons with Oscar, Tristen, and Olga, and every single session has been an absolute joy. They are not only skilled instructors, but also patient, encouraging, and so much fun to work with. Tay has also been amazing, always helping us with scheduling and making us feel right at home. It's been so exciting to see how much we've improved with each lesson. We genuinely look forward to every class, and learning to dance together has turned out to be such a fun and romantic experience. I only wish we had started sooner! The studio itself is stunning--warmly furnished, immaculately kept, and located in a convenient spot behind the mall with its own easy-to-access parking lot. The area is well-lit, safe, and never overcrowded, which makes every visit a pleasure. If you've ever considered dance lessons, do it here. Dance With Me is a class act--10/10 all the way.

I initially started taking classes to help build my confidence, but my reason for staying is entirely different. Not only am I more confident, I'm more outgoing, I'm more willing to try new things, and my anxiety over social situations have decreased drastically. The Sunday after my introductory lesson, my Pastor noticed I was carrying myself differently and made a comment about it. When I say this specific Dance With Me location has the most inviting, friendly, encouraging staff, I mean it! Everyone is welcome, and taking classes here has shown me that anybody can be a dancer. I was concerned because I'm plus sized, and I thought I might experience some limitations, but being here taught me that I was the only thing holding me back. The instructors have so much faith in us students and gently push us out of our comfort zones. If you're hesitant, I really think you should give it a try!

So far my impression of the studio is that everyone are professionals at their craft. They are…read moreextremely clean and friendly team. Safety is a top priority. What I like is their mind body app that makes viewing and booking effortless. Membership prices are very affordable and great combinations of types of aerial excercise equipments (eg sling) The downside for me is that the first instructor courses were disorganized and not many get to try everything. felt rushed to briefly do every single one. I come in for my 3rd class and still disorganized despite having only 3 students. All in which have different levels. Level 1 sling class even then is too advanced for me. The instructor just dove right in but i think he forgets that when it comes to students like myself, I have never ever activated or used any muscle movement similar to what they are doing. He said to me you're just overthinking it. Yet the movement isn't understood by me. Even watching, I can't connect my many different movements "just" to do a simple flip into the sling and then have the fabric lay on my pelvis bones, balance and flip legs over. I'm sure this isn't the only way to teach...and I'm gonna look for a place that offers more structured and fluid sessions. Maybe start off with workout routines on The sling then just a "just move your body into any shape" or "just tuck your knees in and JUST bend your arms" then "voila". I won't be paying a drop in cost or even a membership just to hang or have such chaotic class. One minute this and that yet no real idea what those moves are even called. I left 20 minutes early as most moves were really too advanced for me. All I can do I stand in the sling. I'll be buying my own sling and watching videos online it's no different because all sky gym offers is this "watch" and "learn". You grab your own support pad.. They might help "lift you" into position but doesn't help understand how to do It yourself.. Also they do not really look at me when teaching but everyone else. Not really included till I speak up. Maybe it's just my instructor. They should look and make eye contact to EVERY STUDENT. not just one.

First, you learn how to hang and then you practice going upside down and twirling. We had a great time, it was fun though a little crowded. The facility is a lot smaller than expected and the class size had about five too many people in it. The instructor was approachable and enjoyable. And her assistants were pleasant as well. The only negative is that the facility was extremely musty smelling and took a while to feel comfortable inhaling. Also, there was a ton of hair (much of which appeared to be pet hair) on the mats. I would recommend this facility to others, $19 for an hour first class is a great deal.

As a past pre-professional dancer, I really lost a big part of my life when I quit for college. The Atlanta Ballet offers some of the most solid ballet education classes that I've taken, apart from the dance classes I grew up on. The Adult Open classes are great for any dancer of any age, size and level. I myself enjoy the beginning/intermediate level and the intermediate level. I recently took the Tuesday night intermediate ballet class with Carol, which was hard for me to get accustomed to, since she has a different training style than I grew up on. But she recognized that and was very helpful. The studio itself is a bit outdated, located on the second floor of the Buckhead Centre plaza. There were two dance studios (that I could see), two dressing rooms and a large waiting area. The rooms aren't exactly soundproof so the music from the other studio leaked into ours pretty often. But you got used to it fast. Overall, a great class and experience at the Atlanta Ballet. I will definitely be back!

They are poorly organized, management is cold if not rude, rely upon antiquated paper-based systems to provide essential information, and nickel and dime you with junk fees (that cannot be paid online or by card, but must be paid by check). Classic behavior of a business that thinks it has no competition. There are other, and better, options for ballet instruction in Atlanta!
