This may have been the first, but first doesn't often equal best. Many of the ratings are first impressions but after attending the studio for approx 1.5 years, I can confidently say that you will not reap the value of your $190 per month membership. Buy the deal packages if anything. Yes it's convenient but now that I'm at a different studio, I know the drive is worth it. Inconsistent quality of instruction, shoddy equipment that has caused injuries, shady downtime and schedules where you lose at least a month of membership throughout the course of a year (summer maintenance shutdown, series cancellations with no level equal backfill classes, etc) and deeply disappointing and disrespectful leadership who focuses on income sprints vs loyal membership and good communication. A business coach should know the cost of client acquisition is at least 6x higher than the cost of retention; teaching hundreds of thousands of students isn't a flex in boutique fitness unless you have a large, multi-location business. I've heard other horror stories I won't express here. As a client, you won't initially feel it, but as you go on you'll notice that you're treated as ignorant and as if you don't understand business and what clients want. read more

Took a group class for a bachelorette party one weekend. Our instructor, Flutter was amazing!!! She made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and sexy. She also made the class so much fun! Our class lasted for an hour, and you have an option of taking a longer one. It was held in the Red Light District room. The room was clean, open and spacious. It has 6 poles and a "cage" on the back for pictures. Flutter gave us an option of using yoga mats for the floor moves, but we declined. I believe our class was $35/person. Very reasonable and comparable to other class studios. The studio is a bit hard to find. It's located in the Phoenix Business Park right next to New American Deli. I hate to leave this review however the poor customer service should be noted. I contacted this studio from the recommendation of a friend. When I first asked about their classes they offered a drop in price vs " 3 week unlimited class" for 99 dollars which I now found out is their standard introductory package. Took my first class the same day which as a pole class with a welcoming instructor and other class members. I was informed that one of the class members paid 14 dollars for their "2 week unlimited class". When I inquired about this the respond was this offer is limited. The next day I see the offer on Facebook and instagram ( obviously targeted ads). When I ask if I can purchase and be reimbursed she says no it tile when the price changes on delta. I inform her that I decided to come back two days later to take a class on my birthday. Delta has customer service with the goals to retain customers rather than predatory marketing. Ask for the owner who is out of town.... She is the manager and basically in an argumentative fashion said if good luck with your fitness journey. No contact for the owner or cancellation policy. Plan to report to my CC company and the BBB. Update: The business response to this post is more of same. Really poor customer service with predatory practices. We will allow the BBB to investigate. Polelateaz is a hidden gem off of NE expressway. I attended for. Private birthday event and had blast. They have guidelines in place for Covid restrictions. Washing and sanitizing hands before entering the building. Nice pro shop when you enter. They have everything you need. They even offer shoe rental. Our class instructor, Silhouette, was great. We did, chair, floor and pole. The only concern I had was we jumped right into the class. There was no warm up. People were even late and allowed to participate. That is the only concern I had. I feel warm up/cool down is essential to any form of exercise. It was a great party though. Watching my friends progress I assume the instructors are great too. Definitely would return. read more

With that being said, Pole La Teaz being the first stop, definitely set the bar extremely high for birthdays to come! I booked the Ultimate Party with the photo/dance party options. Let's talk about these photos!! I chose the Femme Fatale photo party for us. Everyone was a bit nervous to start, but once we got in there, the photographer (I believe her name is Angela) and her assistant (could be Erin), were absolutely AMAZING! I personally felt at ease and super comfortable with the both of them. We cracked jokes, but when it was time to get down to business, HONEY!! I'm not going to lie, I questioned some of the poses because I'm 300lbs on a chaise like chair situation, lol. When I say they came out ASTONISHING! I literally cannot stop looking at these photos! I couldn't believe it was me All 9 of us girls LOVE them so much. I can talk about this session forever, but, for the sake of your eyes, I'll move on, lol! I chose the Magic City dance party for us to have fun with. Our instructor Encore was the absolute BEST! The pole and floor play was fat girl friendly (for me, haha). It was literally like our friend was the one teaching the class, not someone we just met. I feel I'm the shy one out of the bunch, but I was able to do the moves (kind of), because the of environment that was created for us by Encore. We all had soooo much fun with her, and the same with Angela and Erin, we cracked some jokes, snapped (leaving Encore out) and danced our booties off! Pop and hop girls, pop and HOP! All in all, everyone left more than satisfied and I'm truly thankful to you and your team. This is the first event I have planned like this and you all helped me pull it off. The owner clearly didn't read my review which said - I offered to buy a membership if the price of the groupon was subtracted from the membership (since I hadn't even used it) - They are not upfront about this because I called and confirmed before I purchased - Their response is to report me because I wrote 'too many bad reviews' (irrelevant). - Attacking a customer because they wrote a negative review because you are more upset with the review than your poor service is an indicator of the type of establishment. read more

Let's just say that the next time I hit up a strip club, I will be sure to tip extra. Pole dancing and booty shaking takes WORK! I would describe myself as being shy and stiff when it comes to sensual dancing. I was afraid that I would feel awkward taking classes here, but the instructors are very welcoming and helpful! I've taken classes with three different instructors so far, and all of them have been super energetic and willing to help me adjust my poses. They recommend that you bring a yoga mat for warm up exercises, but I usually find that I don't really need it. Definitely bring knee pads to the "Jiggle It" class though. You will be spending the majority of the hour on your knees, twerking. The only con is that some of the classes really fill up, so you may have to take turns on the poles and be careful not to shove your butt on the next girl's face when doing floor play. Overall, I definitely recommend this studio for a fun workout and to learn a few extra tricks ;) read more

The space is nice but the booking is annoying . They require a zoom meeting to start classes which is a bit unnecessary. I got a class pass for Black Friday and was excited to train the entire month of Dec/Jan but I had a accident the day of one of my classes and didn't hVe time to cancel class (they have a 6 hour window which is wild cause a lot can happen in 6 hours) and I tried to call and tell them but I couldn't reach anyone. I tried to book again but I was placed on suspension for missing one class and they said it's their policy to charge me missed class fee which woulda been more than the actual pass I bought. The whole process of being in their space is quite annoying to be honest. I've danced in studio all over the world (been poling for 15 years) and this place has to be the most difficult. The culture of the studio is clique-ish (you can't just take a class without the instructors asking you a million questions), it's kinda not so welcoming if your a new member . But the space is nice and clean but wouldn't go back because their studio policy is too strict (you should be able to dance and workout without having to tell your life story). The location is weird as well, it's in a warehouse off the side of the highway) Wouldn't recommend travelers who are wanting to train/dance. I was looking for a pole studio that did special events and Yelp led me here! I booked a "P Valley" party experience for my friend's bachelorette. The pricing was reasonable at $45/person which was with a private instructor for one hour and another 30 minutes went towards pictures, yummy cupcakes they provided, garters, free class for the bride, and having fun. You do have to have at least 7 people in the party or you just pay the difference if you only have 6 people for instance. it was a super fun class - our sexy instructor Magnetz_poles, taught us a whole routine and she always did a special number for us. She made the party fun and made us all feel like you could do something on that pole. The place was very clean and booking the party was easy. They also have many other party options to chose from. I have been doing random drop in classes at PoleLaTeaz for about 2 years now. What I like best about this studio is the fact that they make the regular everyday woman feel like the sexiest thing on earth. The studio is located in West Atlanta kinda off in the cut. So if you drive like speed racer you will miss it. I have taken the Introductory Sampler twice and Jiggle It and I'm about to sign up to take Jiggle It again. The introductory sampler class incorporates all aspects of PoleLaTeaz into one class for beginners. It's the easiest way to try all the classes at once, lol. Jiggle It is STRAIGHT CARDIO!!! OMG I was pouring buckets of sweat after that class. You are literally shaking your behind for about 45 minutes straight. Almost like on Nemo, Dorie (sp) sings "just keep swimming just keep swimming!" This is more like "just keep shaking just keep shaking don't stop shaking!" And when they say bring kneepads BRING KNEEPADS. Those yoga mats won't do anything for you during that class except be in the way. All drop in classes are $15 with the exception of the introductory sampler, that is $20. There are many other things to try out there but I love this place and I will continue to keep coming back. read more

I'm currently a Level 5 student at PoleLaTeaz and I've had a blast since day 1! This is the only form of workout that I actually look forward to...so much so that I go at least 4-5 days a week. The studio itself is really cute, and the red lights and scented candles set the mood for your sensual workout. The instructors are great and very helpful, especially when it's comes to teaching us some of the harder moves that can seem a bit intimidating at first. The friendships that I've formed over time are fabulous. And the boost in self-confidence and physical strength/weight-loss and toning have been amazing. I enjoyed the one class I have taken with this company but I hate that non of the classes I wanted to take were available. Classes are always sold out and your limited to what you are able to take. I joined this group on a new member discount of I think sixty -five dollars unlimited classes but sadly unlimited access is not what u get. You maybe able to take two classes a week on this so call unlimited pass. Parking is limited in front of the building of the business but parking elsewhere is an option considering it is in a business plaza. One of my classes were cancelled by the business and they told me in a text that I would receive a credit on my account but sadly that wasn't the truth and I had to pay $15 for a class that was cancelled the business. I wish someone would have reported this before I wasted my time and money. Social distancing was not implemented there were maybe 6-9 poles in one room with no window and 2 people to one pole and after use we were told to wipe it down. It's like they over book the class. The warm up before the class started would have every one working out super close because the room was sooo small. Overall, when I did take the one class that I did I really enjoyed it the instructor was awesome and very good at what she did and very motivating. The intent to follow COVID guild-lines are there but I don't feel the 6 feet social distancing was not taking into consideration in the classroom. I really wanted to take the H2O class but it was always offered at the same time and I could never make it with my job hours. I could only participate in classes after 7:30. This place was not convenient for my schedule. Would I go back? Nope. Would I recommend this place? Read my review and u make your own decision. So I decided to experiment a bit and try a little bit of everything. My first class I was a bit taken a back, due to the attire of some of the ladies and instructors, I mean they were wearing booty hugging, lingerie, shorts, and light up stilletos, I mean did I accidentally land up at a strip club and not a "class".....lol All joking aside though, it is a fun experience to engage in with some of your girlfriends, or for a birthday/bachelorette party. It's just your time to let loose, indulge in your inner sexiness, and feel comfortable doing so, because nobody is judging you based on your looks, size, age, etc. It's a fun way to exercise, and can be a great way to build your inner self-confidence as well, because these days many ladies feel like they've "lost their sexy side" or "were never sexy to begin with", but take one of these classes, and you'll remember that everyone has a bit of sexiness in them, you just gotta bring it out! ;) read more

Amazing place to get a workout and get your sexy on. It's all about empowerment here ladies. It may feel scary at first but every instructor is incredibly sweet and welcoming. It's a complete no judgement zone, as they are there to help you feel your best and your sexiest. They have drop in classes as well as level pole classes. There's also row barre classes as well but I've yet to try them. I found this place through a Groupon but it's so much fun, I'll definitely look into purchasing a membership from them. It's located in a business park alongside other businesses but there's plenty of parking available outside. It may be a bit hard finding it at first as the entrance can seem hidden but just make sure that when you're on the expressway to slow down as soon as you see the American Deli sign and look for the entrance immediately after. The facility is clean and well maintained. There are also lockers available if you need to put some of your stuff away but don't want to keep it in your car. So me and 9 ladies came here for a 40th Birthday Party and had the BEST time. Everyone was friendly and they accommodated our group well. We picked the dance and photoshoot package Angela made sure everyones photo highlighted their best asset and her and Erin joked around and encouraged us to help loosen up the mood of the shoot. Do bring: water, yoga mat, heels (start with heels you already have at home, after a couple of classes you could buy special heels designed for pole dance), dry hands(a lotion that helps you to grip the pole). wear contact lenses, shorts, top. Location: short distance to I-75. I live in midtown and there is usually not much traffic from midtown to Howell mill on I-75 even during rush hour. Great location. Abundant parking. How to register for class: I called polelateaz and gave them my voucher number, they activate my account immediately, the process takes like 3 minutes. Facility: super clean, very well renovated with hardwood flooring. Classrooms are big. There were 2-10 students in those classes I took. Workshops and Classes I have tried: SUSPENDED YOGA DANCE WORKSHOP: fun and relaxing, with a lot of stretching, you work with a hammock. BURLESQUE WORKSHOPS: The BEST! We were taught a routine that lasts 3 minutes using a chair, a dance stick and gloves, very tempting & teasing, my husband LOVES it! BOMBSHELL BODIES: cardio based workout. SEXY SUSPENDED YOGA: the short version of SUSPENDED YOGA DANCE WORKSHOP B.A.R.R.E.: similar to a beginner ballet class taught in dance studios. Use the chair as barre. At the end of the class, a short pole routine is taught. I will definitely come back, I hope they run more groupons. Compare with Spinarella and Dance 411: Spinarella: Pros: super friendly environment, very supporting. Cons: Neighborhood. Renovation of the studio. It takes at least 4 days to activate a groupon. After that, good luck with class registration. Dance411: in their pole class, four people share one pole. In their chair dance class, they have more than 40 students in the class. I wish I was watching Scandal right now. I wish I was doing anything but writing this honest yet bad review for a place that I once loved. Customer service is VERY important to me and as during the last two years of me being a student here, I can honestly say that is one of the many things that this place is lacking. The inconsistency and unprofessionalism that I witnessed today was unreal! The events of today honestly have me embarrassed that I choose to spend over $3,000 over the last few years at a place that doesn't value me as a customer. This is not the only Pole studio in Atlanta. I took classes at the others and thought that Pole La Teaz was the best fit for what I wanted out of a pole studio. Pros: The classes are fun. Most of the Teachers are great. Erin and Shameka's drop in classes are my favorite. The other students are great! Cons: Studio upkeep. A pole fell down last Nov/Dec and has yet to be replaced. Rules only exists for those people that they don't like. If they like you you can skate by the rules or they don't apply to you. The owner doesn't speak and isn't at all friendly. Things that are included in the membership are barely offered (4 week series) or not honored when you try to redeem them (guest passes). Emails take a while to get answered if they are even answered at all. Again customer service is big to me. If you don't care about how you are treated as a customer then this is the place for you. I fortunately have been spoiled by the "my pleasure" attitude of businesses and will not give another $1 to this one. read more

Level 4 and counting! I am obviously addicted! I've had nothing but the best instructors and was blessed to have the owner as a co-instructor in Level 2. For a pretty conservative personality, like myself, it has done wonders to build up self confidence, my overall "sexy" and my physical strength.. This place is an absolute blast! I found out about Polelateaz through a Groupon (2 weekend workshops for a discount), and I am so, SO glad that I gave it a try. The two workshops I tried out were the "Dirty Martini Pole Burlesque" and a "Lap Dance Seduction" workshop. I've always loved dancing in general (I took 10 years of classes growing up - ballet, tap, jazz, etc) and I love going out to dance in clubs now. Basically, you give me some good music and I'm gonna wanna get my groove on. :) So being told to wear fishnets, oversized button downs, heels and other fun outfits to learn these routines and bring out your inner diva was right up my alley. Once I arrived, the instructor took our group of between 10 - 15 women back to the studio that's lit with these soft red lights (I learned red lighting hides / erases any body flaws one might have) and full length mirrors down one side. Then she'd warm us up with some sexy music and stretching, then teach the routines. We practiced things like sexy walks and moving your hips to make it sexier, "working the pole," sliding down the pole (THAT was awesomely fun!), popping, locking and dropping! And it's all set to great music - yes, it's all top 40 pop and R & B, but it works so perfectly for getting you in the right mindset. And all the moves are strung into a routine to "demonstrate" your new skills for someone special. I had a ball! And since only women are allowed in the class, it's all a very safe environment to try out moves, adjust your walk, see if you look like a goofball or not. I just left the Girls Night class and it was so much more than I expected. It's a 3-1 class consisting of a coyote ugly, 50 shades and pole dancing. I went for the sultry chair class last Tuesday. I've dabbled in the exotic dance classes, but few places were convenient, reasonably priced, etc. I somehow had a free class, so I dropped into the chair class. I really liked the teacher, Lori. She was enthusiastic, taught a fun routine, and the hour flew by. Who knew exotic dancing helped with a sore back? The other students were friendly as well. Now for the less good parts... They get knocked down 2 stars because the place is impossible to find. They give directions on their website, but even then I had a really difficult time finding them. Also, the class schedule is wildly inconsistent. I was thinking I would take the chair class again this week because I enjoyed it so much. When I looked on the schedule, a totally different class was there. I looked at other classes and the same was true across the board. I had a hard time finding another chair class at all. I'll leave them at a solid 3 until I take a few more classes, assuming I can get any kind of consistent attendance with their schedule. read more

Booked a private Bachelorette party here and it was fantastic. All of our ladies flew in from out of town so no one had every visited the location. This could have gone wrong but it went so right. We did a 90 min magic city party and learned so much. With 8 women everyone was able to get their monies worth and get extra tries on the activities they liked the most. The music was great, the instructor was patient with us and the poles were sturdy. At the end we even got time to take photos or do what ever in the room while the instructor left us to our imaginations. If we lived in Atlanta we would all sign up for memberships. She was definitely good at what she does and was very confident and down to earth, which made it comfortable for everybody in the class, even those that were a little shy.
