A girlfriend and I popped in for the Bombshell Bodies class ($15.00) last week and it was fun, interesting, and raunchy all at the same time. She agreed. First, the venue is out of the way in West Midtown and you would never know it was back there if someone didn't tell you about it. The space is nice, but our trip to Polateaz started with the bathroom being out of order and the receptionist telling us the nearest restroom was a mile away. It was one hour of a sexy workout, including the pole. There were some beginners like myself and my friend and then some very "experienced" girls as well. They were sliding down the pole and doing tricks and I forgot where I was for a moment. About 15 minutes of the class was instruction and I just really wanted to get a hard core work out in, so that at some point I can have a bombshell body. It was a lot of crunches and lunges and sexy toning moves. The "experienced" ladies were wearing very tiny clothes and let me just say they were not exactly tiny. While the class was fun and a decent enough workout I wanted a bit more out of a 15.00 pop in class. read more

Hosted a Girls Night Out party here because 3 years of annual GNO at sweaty, crowded dance clubs with rude people was no longer fun. I found this place on Groupon and saw on the website that they host private parties. *Ding! Idea!* So I booked a 60-minute private party (minimum of 7 people) at $100 deposit. Because I wanted to start later than 9pm, I also paid an additional $50. The $100 was used as a credit towards the whole party balance, which was great. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and had a great attitude as she talked me and my sisters through the waiver, where to put our shoes, bags, etc. Our instructor, Flutter, was so bubbly, fun, and energetic. She explained the movements and techniques so that even us uncoordinated newbies could understand how to move sensually. Before we knew it, we were learning a simple yet killer routine that had us sweating and excited to learn more! We will definitely be coming back for more classes and parties. Fun, fun and more fun. Just spent a month in Atlanta with my bestfriend and she took me to polelateaz. We first attended a private party for her friends birthday and had an absolute blast! Our Instructor "Sasha" had me in complet awe. This young lady climbed up a 15 ft pole and proceeded to dropped down into a complete spilt. We were so amazed! On my second visit we attended a class called "jiggle it," which has to do with a whole lot of jiggling! I bounced and jiggled some places I never knew I could! The class had quite a few people in it, however I think that is what made it fun. The best part was when the instructor had us partner up at the end to do a sexy routine. I will say, that these moves came in handy at the the club we attended that night! Lol. We also attended a chair class and one called "tone n tease" (i think). We literally enjoyed all of the classes we attended, and appreciated the diversity of the studios from the employees to the clients. 5 stars all the way. Would give 10 if I could. I started my pole journey at Polelateaz over a year ago and I can say that I have grown tremendously in my fitness abilities and overall physique. The great selection of classes here (they offer a variety of classes other than pole like yoga, dance, rowing, barre, lyra) have allowed me to work on something different each time I visit. I would definitely recommend coming to one of their intro classes if you are curious about pole dancing. Pole is a sport that has taken a lot more strength than I could have ever imagined. The instructors here are helpful and genuinely care about their students. I have gone through multiple levels of my pole classes and can't wait to keep growing at this studio (pole training here transcends through a series of levels). This studio is a must try for anyone who loves fitness and is looking for more of a challenge. There are two locations - one in Alpharetta and another one in Brookhaven/Doraville. Traffic driving from work during rush hour is not too bad if you are coming up 85 to the Brookhaven location. read more

Having recently planned my best friend's bachelorette party weekend, I was on the search for a really great pole dance class to add to the agenda so us girls could let loose and allow our "inner sexy" to come alive! Being that I don't reside in Atlanta I had to do some research. I was told that PoleLaTeaz was a great studio, so of course I checked the Yelp reviews first. Lots of 5 star ratings which was my confirmation that this is where we needed to come. Needless to say, I booked us for a private party! When booking a private party, they give you lots of options to choose from to make your party more personable and I really liked that! You are allowed to pick a theme for your class, as they have several different ones to choose from (all are listed on the website). We allowed our bride to be to pick and she went with the Magic City Pole Party. Ladies, this class is all the way live! From learning pole tricks to poppin and twerkin, you are definitely going to turn all the way UP! Our instructor was Corrie and let me tell ya, this chick is a beast with it- pole dancing skills are off the chain! At the beginning of the class, she introduced herself and did a full routine for us- ahhhhhh mazing! I seriously wanted to pull out some dollars and make it rain on her! She was that. damn. good. In addition, she had a great personality and made the class very personable. We started off by coming up with our own stripper names and each girl had to introduce themselves and reveal their new name. We then learned some pole moves and she taught us a routine. We were divided up into 2 teams and she had us perform the routine in front of the other group. The bride to be even had a chance to perform a solo routine at the end and we were given fake dollars to throw at her during her performance which was a lot of fun! The instructor then presented our bride to be with a PoleLaTeaz goodie bag that included a 7 day pass to come back for classes! Once the class was over, we were given some time to stay in the studio to take pictures and have some last minute fun on our own- good times for sure! I highly recommend coming here especially if you're booking a private party for a bachelorette weekend, birthday party or a girls night out. We certainly enjoyed our time at PoleLaTeaz! This is the perfect place to have some fun with your girls, bring out that sexy alter ego and WERK THAT POLE!!!! A few things to be mindful of when coming here are: 1.) Pay attention to the directions. This place is sort of off in the cut in a strip mall and can easily be passed up. We were a few minutes late because we missed the turn, so pay close attention! 2.) Arrive 15 minutes early if you are here for a private party to fill out paperwork. If a balance is due, it is at this time you will make the payment. 3.) Almost one week later and I am still in awe. I've been touring the pole dance circuit here in the SF Bay area over the past year, and I must say that we have NOTHING that comes even close to what the ATL is blessed with. Having lived in Atlanta for almost half my life, this experience reminded me why they call it the dirty south. This beautiful pole studio has 8 poles in one room, and possibly 6 in another, allowing more than one party/event to take place simultanously. The location was actually near civilazation, and is Black owned, which is rare in this industry. Now the part that still has us talking... our party started with our instructor, a rather well insulated chick, wearing butt cheek revealing lingere, dimming the lights, and cranking up the serious sound system, which gave our party a true party feel. She proceeded to dance nonstop for the next 3 minutes to a song about a booty, which I cannot get out of my head, and now have in my ipod. I have much respect for our particular instructor who admitted to having less than 2 years experience, as she took a chair and manhandled it, and proceeded to do things on top of that chair that defied gravity. This sista then crawled up the pole and came down in a full split, and she didn't do it slowly either. She then slithered around on the floor for a while, and demonstrated her ability to "jiggle it", all in stilettos and looking quite confident, and somehow with little effort. I had no choice but to throw a tip at this sista. Her routine certainly got us pumped about the evening, as if we weren't already. I must also add that this is the first studio I have visited where I was impressed by the music playlist chosen for our event. Anyway, we learned a routine, which is pretty routine with parties. But what was nice is that the instructor allowed me, as the guest of honor, to show off my stuff at the end of the party. And yes, I did. And then, I came home and showed off some more. ;) A couple of differences between the east and west coast pole party experience - here in Cali you are often provided with stilettos. That can be good or bad, depending on sanitary or not so sanitary practices. Also, the studios here will often allow you to bring wine, champagne, fruit and cheese. But with all the prancing around and booty shakin' going on in our party, the reception food was NOT missed. This experience was clearly for the grown and sexy. If you are a blusher, don't go anywhere near this place. In fact, you may not want to go pole dancing at all in HOTlanta. In the end, I left with nothing but fond memories, high regards, and the confidence needed to manhandle a chair. I look forward to my next visit to both Atlanta AND Polelateaz. read more

So my friends and i explore all that ATL has to offer, we are constantly checking out new spots and doing new things. Groupon had a two week deal to Polelateaz so we decided to give it a go! The classes were pretty cool and it definitely helps you channel your inner sexy, however the time goes by so fast that if you're a beginner you have 2-3 shots to get the dance routine down and the hour is over. As a previous dancer, I thought it would be a simple 5-6-7-8 but you have to think about every move that all your moves look choppy at the end when you intend to leave feeling like you are a sexy lil beast (ok not that extreme lol) But my 3 stars come in because I signed up for the 2 week course and my friends agreed we'll go MWF since that fits everyone's schedule, howeverrrrrr 3 of our classes were cancelled last minute (you do the math) we were only ably to make up for one of the classes at the last minute but they didn't even care to let us make up the others. I heard this happens often and we've decided not to go forward with an actual membership because of this. I mean the trial is so you can join right? read more

I took the introductory 90 minute class a few weeks ago with a friend who is a dancer. We both had a great time and it was fun. The instructor was very attentive, positive, and fit. She gave a demonstration at the end of class. Overall, I may or may not go back. On the plus side I was definitely sore the next day and so was my very in shape roommate. The downside was that the class started very late and it was a bit disorganized. We had a 7:00 to 8:30 class and got out of there at 9 PM because of the tardiness. It was a comfortable environment with women college age to senior age having fun. If you are conscious about others shoing their bodies...do not go...some of the women wore barely anything. Even if you are self conscious I would try it, everyone was supportive and having too much fun to pick apart anyone else. read more

Had a private party here for part of a bachelorette weekend and it was so much fun! The instructor was great and made everyone comfortable and made sure to give extra attention to the bride. My only complaint would be that they advertise that each guest gets a "goodie bag" and the only thing in them was two pieces of paper that had "dancing tips" etc on them. It was a bit of a waste of paper in my opinion, everyone in our party threw them away! I should add that the guest of honor does get a few extra goodies in her bag! I started at Polelateaz in January of 2008 and went through 5 levels before having to stop for financial reasons. I had the best instructors, including the owner- who was with me through all 5 levels. I loved every minute of my experience, made some great friends, and toned every inch of my body. After a year of being 'off the pole', I just signed up for level 6 and can't be more excited. I was sent an email stating that my money who'd be refunded after buying class pass due to requesting my temperature be checked on my wrist rather than my head. I took a class and when it was over the manager was on an employee cell phone stating if I didn't like their practices I should write to my Congress. After explaining that I know nurses that also practice using tbt temperature check on the wrist as we know UV rays can damage your body let alone brain cells and decalcify your pineal gland. The manager shared that she too was a nurse of 10 years and basically if I didn't like the company practices I don't have to come back. It's said because I loved the classes but the Managment just had poor customer service. Never once did she take into consideration or even appease the customer and say we would look into it. Never once did she ask me if I even have time to stay and talk with her because she did not care about my time. Never once did she even ask me if I enjoyed the fitness studio. I went here for my friends bachelorette party and had an amazing time! We had a private magic city bachelorette party class with Erin aka London (our instructor) and it was so much fun! Upon arrival the attendants were gracious and warm. During the class Erin was high energy and very attentive and interactive. I We did a lot in one hour. I would highly recommend this to anyone. This place will bring out the inner Vixen in you! I took the Jiggle It class and the Video Vixen Class (Thanks groupon) back to back! Let me tell you! I felt like I needed to be paid for all the tricks I was lead to do in that class. I was on my head...doing things I never knew was possible after 2 kids! And if you are trying to lose weight...Perfect...you get to have fun while losing some calories. My instructor (Ro) was Awesome...you'd think she was a Billionaire in a High Profile Booty club the way she was shaking it...but no...her experience as a choreographer has her talents on point! We went here for a friends bachelorette party and the class was good until the end. Prior to going into polelateaz, I already did have some knowledge on pole moves and spins (living social deals). I used the Groupon for the 2 week unlimited drop-in. I would've gotten the 4 week, but that was sold out by the time I bought it. I have to say each class I took, I always learned a new pole spin or new routine. By far, polelateaz offers the best classes needed to learn the spins! the classes taught me how to be comfortable in 5-6 inch heels and feel confident in your own body. I also met a few girls in the level classes and they do some great moves! Most of the classes I went to maxed out, so I would call in to ask if they have any space at the classes before you activate the groupon. Some classes they instructor will show you the routine and leave you to do it on your own, it can be frustrating at times since I'd rather learn by doing. As far as the level classes, I'm not sure if they are worth taking since there are other places I know that cost half the price, but the courses are also only 4 week instead of the 8-weeks that they offer at polelateaz. And if you ever take the jiggle class, when they say bring kneepads... then BRING KNEEPADS!! Also, don't be shocked if you see the instructors in bootie shorts and a crop top, less is better and that holds true when you do your moves on the pole. Advertised a 4th of July special for $4.00 . I was able to select from a list of classes to attend the week previous to the 4th. I showed up for a June 29th class they allowed me to register for online. When I showed up for the class I was not on the list for that class. Was told I needed to pay 15 dollars for a drop in class. I was upset because of the false advertising and no one had called me or notified me before the class. People were rude and unapologetic. I figured I would take the class since I drove 45 mins in traffic to get there. I took the Jiggle It class on Wednesday night. I was expecting to learn a step by step routine or at least some one on one advice from the "instructors".... Yeah right.... Lazy chicks who just shake their butts for an hour and expect u to follow along. Anyone who has rhythm could teach one of these classes. I can do this at home to my own top Atlanta strip club music. They didn't teach me anything I could not already do or anyone could do for that matter. Save your time and money and don't patronize this worthless establishment... No class at all. I wasn't even greeted upon walking in the door. Two women just stood there and stared..... Waste of a night!!!!!!!!!!! Pole a teaz.....................................
