However, my casual contact with this place was incredibly positive. My kids left this party absolutely glowing with joy on their little faces. My folks had me in a few gymnastics camps when I was a little - I remember the stern coaches who wouldn't let me do any of the fun stuff until I had perfected a boring old forward roll. It's apparently a different situation at the Tumbleweeds facility; they seem to be good at promoting the joy of the sport, and one look at the website seems to show a quite storied history of their activities. There is a massive wall of trophies in the main gym. Anyway, the birthday party was basically a monitored free-play in their spacious gym. Kids were allowed free reign of the balance beams, the trampolines, and the bar apparatus, all accompanied by a great soundtrack of clean jock jams. A clear favorite was the foam pit, used for safety while learning aerial maneuvers on the high bars. The kids were happily jumping into this pit for the entire hour or so. The more adventurous ones would hop up on the high beams and point their toes, make little hops and things. We later moved to the spacious party room, which was clean and well setup. The gym is located in the Conley Rec Center in the College Park neighborhood of Atlanta. This is just west of the airport, so you can see and hear the landing approaches from the parking lot. The place is a jem, and I just might come back. If one of your kids is invited to a party here, make sure to attend; it's pretty awesome.

They are more affordable than Intown Gymnastics and the instruction has been great. Coach Tracy is caring and kind and his son is great too. We've seen up to four instructors with our son's class of 12-4 kids, which seems pretty good as far as ratios go. The instructors are hands on and give feedback about how the kids are doing. The facility is nice, although they do need a better place for parents to wait/watch considering since covid they don't use the bleachers in the gym and you can only watch for fifteen minutes. I'm hoping they will change that policy. They have all of the aspects of a solid gymnastics program and seeing kids of all ages here gives me confidence that if they are willing and able, they gain skill here and can compete some day.

The owner is committed to both the gymnastics and circus programs and serving the community. The gymnastics kids are very competitive and many have gone on to compete as older gymnasts and have also come back to teach in the In Flight program.

We love Parkour and we used to love Atlanta Parkour. Since Alex started managing programs it has…read morechanged a lot. There used to be structured routines that were a lot of fun. Now the kids are separated at stations to learn one move or skill. There is no opportunity to combine the skills into a routine. They just change stations during the class. They used to be allowed to participate in the foam pit. No more. We used to be able to stay a few minutes after class to keep practicing. No more. They are very strict about you leaving after a 45 minutes class. Everyone is required to wear masks unless you have been vaccinated. The gym is huge and everyone is spread out and it's very hard to do a parkour in a mask. I used to be able to take my almost 5 yo to play on the structures during the class so my older son could participate. No more. I signed my son up for camp and then got a call later saying they made a mistake, were at capacity and could not allow my son at camp after all. The rigidity at this gym is surprising. It has changed a lot. If there were another Parkour option we would not go back.

There's a beautiful playground right in front of the entrance that looked well maintained. There are also covered tables so you can sit outside and eat or do any other table top activities. They have two large gyms with bleachers on one side. They also had two activity rooms that could be set up to be used for many things such a trainings, baby shower, etc. Each of the rooms has a sink and the bathrooms are right next door. Bathrooms were also well kept. If you live in the neighborhood or need to host an event, I would suggest looking into this location.

I found an Aqua Zumba class online for Tuesday mornings at this location and went in for the class…read more I was so glad to see that Rec Centers and Summer Camps are still available in the inner city. You'd think this sort of think no longer exist they way people complain about not having any resources for their kids around summer. The complex has an outdoor pool, and play ground, basketball court and hold all sort of line dance classes, empowerment classes and yes, aqua zumba lessons. They also have volleyball, guitar lessons, and open gym at the basketball court several times a week My class was cancelled due to rain. When I went to pay the $5 drop in fee for the class the receptionist was not aware the class had been cancelled, when no one showed up near the 11am start time, I went back to the desk and the receptionist said the instructor had called and verified the class cancelled in the ten minutes I was there waiting for the class to begin and refunded me the $5. I'm for sure going back since they offer different fitness classes and most of them have a drop in rate of $5-7, some of them even give a discount for seniors citizens. A wonderful business for the neighborhood and great activities for kids.

I was in the women's bathroom on the second floor and two giant cockroaches came charging after me. Another person said they found a dead cockroach by the pool yesterday as well. I alerted staff that there are several cockroaches and a woman working at the facility said "I'm not sure what you want me to do about it." Nasty business. For some reason it won't let me add a photo of the roach!
