You will get ripped off if you don't pay attention. One server added top shelf liquor to my beverage (without asking...resulting in an upcharge) and she also charged me extra for a substitution (onion rings for fries). Gratuity is also added automatically. Watch out for Sakia...she will smile in your face and cheat you at the same time. Honesty is always the best policy in hospitality and I would have preferred to have a choice rather than be bamboozled. Comedy show was great, but I will think twice before ordering here again. The atmosphere was like your typical comedy club dark and close quarters. There really were no bad seats.

This is the world famous stage where a lot of the greats performed.

The food is always questionable at these comedy clubs. At least the service was quick and efficient. The wings and fries came out cold. Weren't good at all. That's why I ordered 2 drinks. The place is nicely decorated with some great portraits of the comedians who have performed here. I will be back, but we gots to get better on this food.

I'm so glad I didn't check in on my first experience here: it was awful service food everything for Chris Tucker. However I did for Corey holocomb. So we were promptly seated our waitress was amazing. Took our orders fast and food came out fast as well. Night and day from last time. The onion rings were crispy and chewy on the inside , the po boy was great. I didn't order a drink but guest said it was good. I really enjoyed it this time I'm glad I can give a positive review !

We caught the late show at the last minute, bad move! The line up was ok, Omar Gooding gave a full show.... But it was definitely a reason this place wasn't packed. You pay for tickets, you are required to buy 2 items each once inside, the items are over priced and most of laughs were forced. After adding up the cost, just plan it out and go to a big show, in my opinion.

Over priced drinks. Requiring 2 items minimum per person. ALL items are overpriced. Especially drinks. Bottled water is $7. Service charge is also added. Requested a receipt, NEVER received. Server was no where to be found at the end of the show. Theater is not in the best shape and in need of an upgrade/overhaul. Music system is loud but sound quality isn't the best.

Great drinks and tasty wings--Cajun shrimp was just okay. TK Kirkland had a hilarious set, but the club really needs better security for performers. Someone got on stage and caused a scene, which was totally unacceptable. With stronger security, this place could be a top spot for laughs and good food in Atlanta!

Didn't order food as I wasn't sure of the menu so we opted for drinks which I loved. The show started late and the ambiance was blah. The comedian was super funny and I would pay to see her again just not there. Service was very slow but she tried her hardest. Restrooms need an update asap

Cake slice shorter in length than the plastic fork. I didn't the realize the menu was part of the show.

This place is an actual joke. First of all, the seating is the same level as an old school baptist church coffee hour. Plastic tablecloth from dollar tree, old hard chairs. My knees started to throb before mid show. Also, the seats are placed so tight together, you will be rubbing elbows with people next to you. Drink minimum is standard for a comedy club, but due to the absolutely terrible margarita, I had a slice of cake as my 2nd item. I'm pretty sure weight watchers allows more as a serving....for $8. The bathrooms were untidy with cheap kitchen sinks instead of bathroom sinks. And had the nerve to only run cold water. The entire venue (including parking lot) is run down and outdated. Considering the acts and sold out shows, they can do better. I highly doubt I will return unless someone big comes in town....but I guess there is the Fox Theatre or other reputable venues. All staff were friendly and helpful though. No complaints on service.

Please eat before you go there ! The food is NASTY /OLD OR OCEAN SALTY . Took my homegirl cause the owner David hit me up asking me to please come. We got there and ordered a wing basket and a shrimp basket with two fruity ssa juice ( supposed to be liquor in it , so we called it fruity juice ) the tab came up to $80 ! $80 for some untouched FOOD AND DRINK ! No once did David aka big Dee come to the table and take that shhh off ! And it wasn't packed only 25 people were in there so I'm confused why he didn't come. The customer service in here is TERRIBLE!!

What is the dress code for male & female?

There isn’t an enforced dress code so to speak. Most people dress up a bit, but for the most part it’s a dressy casual. I say come in what you feel comfortable in; however, I wouldn’t come wearing basketball shorts or sweats though. When I’m feeling…

This works great for us and parking was easy in the large lot. We got there a few minutes before showtime and parked right up front. Upon entering, our names were on a list and they gave us hard tickets at the front desk, kind of like will call. There is a main lobby with bathrooms and then into the dark main space, that was a decent size. There was a two item minimum that was easily met (can be a food item or drink) and our server was great about timing so we wouldn't be too disrupted from the show. It was a small audience that night, but this place would be great even with a bigger crowd.

The Other Room is cozy and looks to hold ~100 guests, the only "bad seats" are the ones that run directly right and left to the stage along the wall. The viewing angle isn't that great and based on the audio can't be that great based on my experience. 2. The room temp was very cold, at least where we sat on the high top tables near the window/door. Bring a jacket just in case or drink more to stay warm. 3.(my biggest issue) The audio was sub-par ... the male comedian was a little hard to understand and the featured comedian was a little better, but still had its moments where understanding her was difficult. They could add additional speakers or tone the bass done. The audio was probable a 3 out of 5, at best. The audio wasn't crisp or as clear as their main room. I'm hoping the bad audio was due to our seats, but I doubt it. 4. The staff was great and I've never had an issues with the staff, probably one of the best service staffs in any comedy club in Atlanta. Finally, I'm definitely planning to watch several upcoming comedians at the Helium club, however, if they are performing in "the Other Room", I'll be hesitant to purchase their show tickets. I'll wait a hope they draw a larger crowd to fill the main room or make their way down to the Punchline the next time they come to Atlanta. The Other Room rating - 3.5 stars out of 5

First off, there are no assigned seats so if you buy your tickets ahead of time online, you are just getting a general admission ticket and paying a fee. I waited until we arrived to buy them from the guy behind the concession stand to save on the fees. We still got great seats as we weren't even there that early for our 4pm showtime. The seats recline and are nice, including the option for heat. The concessions are very affordable and aren't as much of a mark up as other theaters. The popcorn comes with free refills! The staff was super friendly and the lobby has a few arcade games. We'll be back!

My sister was ordering with her toddler, who is on the autism spectrum and struggles with verbal commands. While she was holding him, he reached toward the sneeze guard glass. Instead of a polite, professional request, the male manager approached my sister aggressively, yelling at her and threatening to remove our entire party. It was alarming to witness a manager raise his voice at a young mother and her child. When my mother asked another employee (Mahandra) if that individual was indeed the manager, she began to argue with us as well. While they claimed it is store policy to prohibit touching the glass, there is no justification for the aggressive, hostile manner in which this was handled. A simple, polite explanation would have immediately resolved the situation, as my sister would have gladly complied. Beyond this interaction, I had a previous experience at this location where their steak caused me food poisoning. Given the lack of basic hospitality and these recurring issues, I will not be returning to this specific location.
