SHORT STORY: Hire Tri-State Waterproofing. I am sooo happy…read moreI did!! Everybody at Tri-State was simply FANTASTIC to work with. Ben came out and gave me a no-pressure estimate. Tri-State is family owned and operated. Everybody who works for them has been an employee of Tri-State for 15+ years. That says a lot, if you ask me. Their pricing was fabulous. Working with Amber in the office to get scheduled could not have been more simple. And then when Lalo and Andrew's crew came out to do the installation... it was phenomenal! They were so sweet and respectful of my home. They arrived on time, did a truly amazing job, and cleaned everything up neat and tidy. The work was done perfectly. Seriously - it was all top notch. I would recommend Tri-State to anybody and everybody. They are the BEST.

Mr. Logan came out quickly and easily identified the problems and was able to have a frank conversation about our needs and options. Originally we had contracted them for just part of the work we needed (the other part was non-urgent), but we're so impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of the team that came out to do that work that we immediately called back and contracted them for the rest. I am so happy with the finished product and was grateful for the their speed, integrity and communication throughout. If we we ever have similar project needs again, Tri-State will be my only call.

I had a horrible basement flood in December 2018. I had had many such floods and I decided that I…read morefinally had to do something about this. I called a number of companies to seek an appointment for an evaluation of my situation and an estimate on how much it would cost to fix it. Harris promptly got back to me (only one other company returned my call) and we made an appointment. The estimator soon came out and evaluated my basement troubles. Developing an estimate took a few days - longer than expected - because he wanted to share the unique aspects of the problem with the company's owner, Tim, so they could best figure out the ideal solutions. I was happy to wait a few days for them to have more time to really think about the problem and what would be best: better than some "one size fits all" fix that wouldn't fix my basement problems. They determined what they thought would solve the problems, and that that it would be simpler (and more cost effective) than they originally thought. I hired them (I eventually had one estimate from another company - they came out after a few months; their estimate was much higher, $-wise, and they wouldn't be able to start work for a few months anyway). While there was a bit of a wait, given their other jobs, I got the work done quickly. Their employees were professional, and friendly, and really cared about doing great work. In the course of the job, they realized that the original plan wouldn't work out in one way, and again decided on a cheaper, more "conservative" respond to the problem which saved me money. All and all, I think Tim Harris and his crew really were just interested in solving my problems in a manner that would be effective and reliable, and at a fair price. Oh, my basement used to be a horribly disgusting place - dirty and dank! After what they did, it's now nice!! We can store things down there and the kids even have a play space. So my house has gained a lot of workable space because of what they did. And it smells better too! My only regret here is that I didn't know of them 10 years ago! If I had known about them then, I would have had a lot less frustration and expense along the way!

John came out to do my estimate and made me very comfortable with the process. I am truly pleased with the outcome and look for to a leak free basement.

Crawlspace Medic of Atlanta - Had to run an electrical wire in crawlspace, the entire sheet of plastic unraveled down slope because it wasn't secured! No spikes, no tape.

Avoid Crawlspace Medic of Atlanta. I paid a deposit on a $1500 job and got a "vapor barrier" in my…read moretwo crawlspaces. They sent a young kid who said he hadn't done it very long. I assumed it was straight forward. He was done in 2 hours. Upon inspection, I could still see my dirt floor exposed in multiple areas. Entire runs along the wall had no overlap and you could see dirt. The main path into my standing crawlspace had inches of exposed dirt. Look at the terrible cuts. It was unbelievable he didn't overlap onto the concrete and tape/secure the plastic. He was so lazy that he didn't even move two cinder blocks, instead he sloppily cut around them and left my dirt exposed. WHAT WAS I PAYING FOR? What's the point of a "Vapor barrier" when the floor is still exposed? I contacted the company, who sent someone else out. That guy admitted they had problems with their young guy and he didn't know what he was thinking. I thought they would fix everything. He basically only added plastic to areas I could see, and added tape/christmas tree spikes to areas I could see. You can still see in my pictures that large swathes of plastics had not one spike in them. That same week, we had to add some electrical in the crawlspace. I climbed in and was dumbfounded the ENTIRE plastic sheet in my smaller crawlspace unraveled. It was literally like a 15x15 piece of plastic laid on a slope without any spikes or tapes holding it down. The second guy did nothing in this room but add a piece of plastic where the cinder block problem was. It was at this point where I knew I was scammed. I already paid a $500 deposit, but they weren't getting another dime from me. They literally paid a young inexperienced kid $15-20/hr for a couple of hours to lay plastic on my floor. He couldn't even make straight cuts. What did I pay for when my ground isn't even covered? It was awkward at this point and I did not want to have them back out. I bought christmas tree spikes and my own plastic, and I closed the gaps and secured the plastic. I have tons of pictures and videos, in which I sent to them and explained what happened. Instead of being apologetic, they tried to report my account as delinquent, which I will fight. Look elsewhere and get it done right. EDIT: They admit an inexperienced kid did all my work. They admit they fired him afterwards. They sent another guy who did an hour of patching some of the most obvious spots, as mentioned in the original review, but DID NOT REDO anything. The pictures they link to, show absolutely nothing but wide stretches, not the sides and spots in questions. Also, you can see from their pictures that christmas tree anchors were STILL missing. They uploaded pictures that show giant aresa of plastic on an incline with NO anchors in it... their pictures make my case. Crazy.

We owned a 1920s bungalow in need of a trench and sump pump. Prior to the install, rain always entered one side of the house, to the point of that area of the stand-up crawlspace being unusable for storage. After the job was done, we got a lot of rain, and the crawlspace stayed dry as a bone. They also replaced the vapor barrier and laid a fresh vapor barrier under our ADU. At our new house, they added some supports under our front porch -- an issue that was flagged by our inspector. Donny and Dan are awesome and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the work, even it it meant making an extra trip from way outside the perimeter. Further, Crawlspace Medic's prices are extremely competitive.
