I had to call them 2 times and email and then they showed up. never got a hold of anyone but the answering services. 2. Bad communication, they don't reply to emails and only reply to calls if you are lucky, they do not give you updates while on site unless you initiate it. 3. Did bad job trimming limbs off tree. 4. sod has gaps in it and seems more cut up than it should be. parts of it where brown when put down and have gotten worse even with water and sun. 5. dumped excess mulch and the tree branches in the hill of my neighbors backyard, probably thought it's mine but it's not and i don't want it either 6. I ordered 2 pallets of sod but I suspect I'm missing around 150 sq ft. and there was area to put it. 7. they were supposed to try to go around the healthy grass so that the sod could go further. I can't hold it against them cause the key word was try but when I went out the morning they did it they started there with the machine. not in the bad areas on the side of lawn by driveway. They drove the machine across to the healthy patch on the other side of yard and started there. Even after talking to the supervisor a couple days before. 8. There were several wires found cut. laying with the trash they were taking away. I suspect they cut the cable line which I don't use and a grounding wire. It wouldn't have been so bad if they just told me about it instead of me walking around after the left and finding stuff. 9. I got the bill today but there was no discussion of doing a walk through of their work. 10. they left site like it was done on 5/30 friday. Didn't show up on Monday so I called cause they still hadn't trimmed tree and didn't put sod where they took out the bush by the garage. They came back once to do tree last week but didn't finish. came again yesterday 6/10 and finished tree, suck job of course, dumped tree limbs in backyard and put the sod where bush was removed but they were supposed to also take it slightly in front of it. i had talked to both the guy that did the quote and the onsite supervisor about it and still missed it. Only time will tell if the drain works. Let's pray. I'll put pics if this lets me.

I want to give a review for Sarros Landscaping. Phil and his team totally transformed my current…read moreyard into the dream yard we didn't even know was possible. First, we had a nice backyard, but we had a yard that sloped to the house that never grew grass very well and always suffered with some drainage issues. Phil recommended and put in a paver potio that included great looking stones, firepit and pergola to give it character and style. I cannot say how much we love this patio. We cook down there with our grills/smokers, we have weekend fires in the fire pit for s'mores and cooking, and we love to just sit and relax as we hear the birds and watch the kids play on this transformed area. Second, we bought the house for the yard in the past for the trees and adventure, but our kids wanted grass to run/play. This is where Phil recommended putting in a retaining wall and leveling or backyard (with appropriate grade for drainage) to put a beautiful grass filled yard. This involved lots of prep, grading, tree removal and planning but the results are amazing. Phil not only put in zoysia grass and planned plants, replants, and beds all around my house, but had the new sprinkler systems put in to help water the investment. Phil also put grass all around the house and even put in yard lights (which I have always wanted) to shine on the house and tree canopy's which makes things look so great at night. Phil even helped me put in a tree swing between two trees since we had to take out a dying tree that we previously had a swing on. Third, and most importantly, Phil is great to work with... I am an engineer so I am detailed and I want to discuss things regularly. Phil ALWAYS had the time to talk, plan, and make sure that we were lock step in what we were doing with the yard and what the expectations were from both parties. Lastly, when the job is completed, Phil doesn't go away. He still welcomes calls to check on things, come look at the job and make sure things look right, and give advice on anything that his team has helped put in. When you invest in something that matters you want to give it to a person who is going to care about your investment as well and that is what Phil does. I have a high standard of how I want things to look when they are done at my house. Many times I do these things on my own because I can do it well. I have also learned to hire people who are qualified to do excellent work because I know I won't regret it for the years to come when I look at that investment over the years. He assured me he would return to finish work he had omitted, specifically pruning about 30 plants that were left unaddressed. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of paying him upfront before inspecting the work. After I contacted him, he apologized and promised to come back, but despite multiple attempts to follow up, he never returned. My advice: either don't use him or, if you do, never pay until the work is 100% complete. Unfortunately, this one was on me.
