If you have a problem that you THINK might need the help of a concrete lifting company, this is who you want to talk to. We had received bids from a couple of companies, one of which is the 900-pound gorilla of concrete lifting. It was to take care of a patio situation where we had leaking water running under it and the flagstone patio + a decent-sized pond were sinking...cracking the mortar and threatening to drop into oblivion. Bond, the owner's son, came out to look at it and inspected the problem carefully. He quickly submitted a bid and it was far less than the others. We pulled the trigger and scheduled the visit. Today, Micah - the Owner (THE OWNER!) arrived with Cole (the owner's son in law) to do the work. 100% of their focus was on their work and figuring out the best way to tackle the unique situation. Although Bond had correctly assess, Micah never pressured us for more work... he only discussed the options. It cost us a few hundred dollars more but that's because the hole under the patio turned out to be massive and they emptied a $&%t-ton of "stuff" into it. They hadn't promised to raise the patio (very very heavy with a pond on top and a lot of concrete below from my failed attempt to fix it). They discovered the walkway in front of the patio had a cavity under it too, causing it to sag and potentially cave in. They lifted that too! it was complex because everything was capped or stacked with stone and mortar...but it looks 100% better. On the fly, they also addressed a minor issue where the concrete company had paved a sidewalk over a sprinkler head, which had opened up a cavity under our sidewalk. Turns out the water had opened up a huge hole under the sidewalk that we'd never have seen until it was too late. Even after adding the sidewalk issue, and practically doubling the amount of anticipated filler material, they solved our problem for a price that was still far below the others! Very nice family. Honest. Smart. Focused on the issue, not ripping you off. They are a model for what you want in a contractor. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more
