Would I return or recommend? Sadly not despite how much I want to support vegan joints. First off, we ordered and were told 20-25 minutes. At the 40 minute mark I saw my burgers finally make it to the takeout boxes. It wasn't until the 50 minute mark that the fries were ready. The burgers sat for 10 minutes and were cool by the time the order was up. Did we complain, yes, but only to the cook. I didn't ask for a replacement as I wasn't prepared to wait another 40-50 minutes for a replacement. The seating area had crumbs all over the ground, trash cans overflowing, and the tables had plenty of crumbs and leftover sauces from previous customers. There was the owner/order taker and another guy who worked the register area. It wasn't until we were ready to go before they only wiped a table for some of their friends. None of the other tables were touched. I had the vegan bacon burger with cheese and fries. Super thick bun, very thin patty. Ratio was way off. Didn't even taste the bacon, and it didn't help that it was cool, which I think dampened the flavors which were were at this point non-existent. The burger was very mediocre. I have eaten hundreds of burgers in my life, and many were meatless, this does not rank in the upper half. The fries however rocked. They were freshly cooked and very flavorful. Nice crunchy exterior. Overall it was a disappointment. I love to visit local vegan spots and this seemed like it would be a hit based on the reviews. Unfortunately that was not my experience. It's not inexpensive, it's not quick, and I didn't enjoy my food, or overall experience very much.

We started with an appetizer of spring rolls and krab ragoons. Both came out piping hot and SO perfectly crispy. The duck sauce with the spring rolls and sweet chilli sauce with the ragoons pairs incredibly with both. For our meal, my bf and I shared a huge portion of the sweet and sour chicken. This is our favorite entree here and it never disappoints. The veggies in the sauce are so amazing too! The restaurant was packed on a Saturday night and we were still sat and served immediately. There is always the same, kind server -she's the best. It was only her for to-go, serving, and bussing/setting tables....now that's impressive!! The restaurant isn't the fanciest, but the food and quality makes up for any imperfections. Great for a casual date night around the beach.

While it looked okay, it was pretty atrocious; poor tasting broth, meat and soggy noodles. This one place now has the record of having served me both the worst pho and the worst ramen I've ever tasted, no small feat considering how many pho and ramen places I've tried. But the kiss of death was their deceptive and outrageous billing; it's one thing to add a mandatory "tip" of 18%, but it's a whole other thing to then have the audacity of asking for an additional 18, 20 and 30% compounded tip (calculated on the post-tip and -tax amount) and present it like this is the only tip being asked for. If one doesn't double-check the bill and just look at the info on the payment terminal, it looks exactly like you're only being asked for tip once, but instead they are asking for up to 55.8% tip! $5.65+$11.87 on a $31.39 amount. When I asked the waitress why they are asking for double tip without making this clear, her only response was that they weren't and I could always hit Skip. Same answer when I asked if she thought asking for over 50% was reasonable and pointed out the misleading practice. And when I asked to speak to a manager, she said they didn't have one! I got the bulgogi bowl and the flavor was really good. The meat was seasoned well and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Personally, I would've liked the bulgogi cooked just a little more with some crispy edges like you get at an actual Korean BBQ spot. I also wish there was a little more banchan included and maybe some kind of extra sauce for the bulgogi because it got a little dry after a while.
