The other reviews of this appear to be for a different restaurant, perhaps the now-defunct 'Blah, Blah, Blah' further down Heath Road. At the time I'm writing this, the photo is also wrong, but regardless of all that...
Two of us went to Atithi for the first time last night. The food was excellent. There is a good selection of both vegetarian and meat based dishes. Perhaps shorter than at some other Indians in the area, but it could easily be argued that allows them to concentrate on the quality of the food.
We were served a small complimentary appetiser before our starters arrived. I'd gone for the crispy okra and my girlfriend the mini samosas. However, the starters did take a little while to turn up, and once they were eaten there was another bit of a wait before the main course. It was a Saturday evening, but the staff appeared to be a little overworked (one couple sat themselves, another took the more British approach of heading back to the door after they hadn't been seated, at which point someone appeared to show them to a table -- in fairness they had only waited for about 30 seconds).
Otherwise the waiters were attentive and friendly, the food was good, and we will definitely be returning. read more
