Craving a curry, we set-out - on foot - on a frosty February Tuesday night. Everywhere seemed…read moreeerily empty so we kept walking (on the point of turning back) when we spied the elegant white frontage of Deea. Although it was 10.30 pm, they were still impressively busy and kept us waiting for a couple of minutes before showing us to a comfortable corner table. The pickles that accompanied the poppadoms were deliciously different yet still tasted authentically homemade. My king prawns with tangy sauce were fabulous, although there was too much sauce for my taste and the accompanying puri was too greasy. My curry-fanatic friend enjoyed his chicken tikka masala with lemon rice and bhindi bhaji but found the sauce too rich and unusually sweet. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and were warmed, restored and ready for a long, cold walk home.

Regular customers over the last two years, always excellent service and quality food. Have…read moreintroduced many friends and family and they all agree. This is not your standard curry house where they throw whatever meat you request into a pot of bland watery sauce, and confuse the flavour of spices with simply adding heat to the dish. All dishes we've tried here have been delicious & fragrant. Meat always succulent and delicately spiced. Favourite dishes are the Karahi Lamb and Methi Ghosth. Quality of the lamb is fantastic, tender and full of flavour. Respect the spice balance of each dish and have it as it comes: simply ask for a fresh green chilli on the side tif you want to add some heat ;-) Deea has set a very high benchmark - all other Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants we go to now are compared to this, and rarely come close!

We had the vegetable korma, cauliflower bhaji and dill & mustard appetizer as takeaway…read more The cauliflower and salmon dishes were tasty, albeit very greasy. The korma was overly sweet and almost like a dessert. Overall not bad, but better could be had at nearby establishments. The service was a little weird. They did not provide any utensils with the takeaway, which seems common at South Asian restaurants in London, but this is the first place that refused to provide them when I asked. If you are going to order takeaway from here, make sure you have forks and spoons handy.

Amazing Indian cuisine!! I expected no less from London. We had a bit of trouble picking the…read morecurries we wanted, so the manager ordered for us!! We loved everything. We got the Lamb Korma (lighter curry shown in photos), Chicken Tikki (amazingly tender; the pieces of chicken shown) and King Prawn Bhuna(darker curry shown). We had naan and rice. Everything was absolutely wonderful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Lily Tnadoor was very very good…read more We came here early on Sunday, around 5:30 for dinner. The Yelp reviews enticed us. Apparently they only open at 6PM most days but they have an all day buffet on Sunday, so we were lucky to be able to sit at 5:30. I particularly liked the menu because it had descriptions of the different curries. For example, it explained what a bhuna type curry was: "This dish is cooked in a medium strength thick sauce tomatoes and mixed spices, slow cooking process develops the thick texture of the sauce." Very helpful Lily Tandoori menu! Thank you! Usually I'm just overwhelmed and pick something random. We ordered the Prawn Puree- a delicious prawn curry concoction on a fried tortilla, and the Vegetable Thali, and Prawn Bhuna. The Vegetable Thali provided a lot of different options, both spicy and mild. However, the Prawn Bhuna really blew me away. The flavours were so wonderful, with a large amount of shrimp. It was the perfect amount of spice but also a bit creamy. Incredibly delicious. Service was always very good.
