I had a urinary tract infection which they didn't get around to treating, wrong antibiotic, needed both a culture and sensitivity to find what works, until just before I developed urosepsis. They missed the signs but my friends noticed immediately that I had become confused, convinced them to call an ambulance to take me to the hospital. If my friends hadn't shown up, I would have gone into septic shock. Plus the hospital found benzodiazepines in the toxicology screen. They weren't prescribed. My daughter was very upset as she almost lost me.

The first time I showed up to meet with my therapist, they were confused and out of sorts. From phone calls going unanswered to what I later discovered were completely unreturned to a bit of an over the top effeminate voice using more S's than a snake, espousing that calls were returned and he/it could prove it while others in the background contradicted her, we knew it was time to take my business elsewhere! Not worth the drama! And of course, the business owner couldn't be bothered trying to save a customer as they truly cannot deal with people expecting to be treated fairly and with dignity. Lying in any way is reprehensible, but the types of lies the front desk staff attempted were so pathetic, they had to be called out here. When anyone is truly ignorant enough to state that they called you (without simply putting 2 + 2 together, realizing that every call is captured) and you can show them that in fact no call was made from them or received by you, it kind of deflates the case fairly quickly. How about just a simple apiology? Well...I'm glad they didn't tell the truth or have the owner return my call. I found a much more credible therapist with nicer facilities and far less crowding. It's a shame as CeCe, Anthony and some other therapists seemed like great people with solid futures. Then again, it won't be difficult to find a place with better leadership and a more caring and competent staff.

As I entered I was warmly greeted and directed to my cousin's room. The front entry way was clean, organized and well lit. His room was close to the front. It's a 2 person room- the room was small with a bathroom and a curtain as a divider. Both sides have a bed, tv, phone, night stand, chair and a wardrobe closet. The room was clean when I went. While there, I observed the nurse and 2 students come in to administer antibiotics intravenously. They introduced themselves, explained what they were doing and asked if we had any questions. They were friendly and communicative. Before I left, I used the public restroom. It was very clean. Now here is what the patient (my cousin) has shared with me- " all of the staff- CNA's, nurses, nurse practitioner, etc are very competent and nice. I have a wound that needs attention daily and at 7am every morning they attend to it. They use gloves and maintain a clean environment for me. All of the staff have checked on me, asked if I need anything and offered assistance. The social worker is easy to reach and I've left messages for the provider and she gets back to me in a timely manner. I have nothing bad to say. It's an awesome facility. A place I will return to if the need arises. The food is good- serving portions are smaller than what I'm used to but I'm sure I'm used to overeating. Employee concerns about safety did not appear to be addressed consistently, leaving many feeling that both staff and patient well-being were not a priority. The lack of management support made these challenges even more difficult. Employees were frequently expected to handle complex and potentially dangerous situations with little guidance, communication, or backup from leadership. Overall, the work environment suffered from poor oversight, low morale, and a lack of accountability. I hope the organization takes meaningful steps to improve security, strengthen leadership, and create a safer workplace for both employees and patients.

Afterward, my insurance paid $23. Then the clinic billed me $800. When I went back to ask them to honor what I was told--or at least work with me on price given their guidance--they refused. I asked about a self-pay option; they said no because my insurance had already paid $23. No flexibility, no ownership, no accountability. From my perspective, this is the definition of a bait-and-switch: reassure the patient about coverage to green-light the visit, deliver a token insurance payment, then dump the real cost on the patient and refuse to make it right. I left feeling misled and out hundreds of dollars for a "test" they weren't confident would help in the first place. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this practice to anyone. If you do go, get every "coverage" assurance in writing, ask for CPT codes up front, and verify directly with your insurer--because the verbal promises I received were worthless. I won't be back.

She is doing great with Drew. She has been up walking with assistance and Drew has all the patience and does his job with a smiling face. You can tell he enjoys helping people. What a great asset to this company. I even had him work on me with my back. I'm telling you when mom goes into hospital and than rehab facility the staff all know about "Drew" I also had a lady named Kennedy working on my back and she is good as well. Yesterday, my son had occupational and speech therapy. While I was there, I specifically spoke with the front desk because my son had recently been approved for ALTCS. I gave them his new insurance information and asked what the next steps would be for him to receive more than 30 minutes of therapy. Two staff members spent several minutes reviewing everything and eventually explained that I needed to contact his DDD coordinator and that his pediatrician would need to send a new referral before he could continue receiving additional therapy. They returned the insurance information I had given them and specifically told me that they did not need to change anything in their system because his ID number was the same. At NO point did either employee tell me that there was an issue with his insurance coverage, that his therapies that day might not be covered, or that I could potentially be responsible for paying for them. Today, Jasmine, who was not there during yesterday's conversation, called me and asked whether my son was with DDD. I told her yes and explained that I had already informed the office yesterday that he had been approved for ALTCS. Instead of trying to understand what had happened, she immediately began blaming me for not notifying them while his ALTCS application was still in process. I explained that I was NEVER told I was required to notify the office while his application was pending. In fact, I had not brought my son to therapy for the previous weeks, and Jasmine herself was the person who called ME to schedule yesterday's appointment. When she scheduled it, she never told me there was an issue with his previous insurance, never asked if I had new insurance, and never asked whether I would be paying out of pocket. Instead of acknowledging that there had clearly been a communication failure on their end as well, Jasmine repeatedly told me that I NEEDED TO BE A RESPONSIBLE MOM and that AS A RESPONSIBLE MOM I SHOULD HAVE NOTIFIED THEM. Then, in a mocking and condescending manner, she asked me, "SO YOU JUST APPLIED FOR ALTCS YESTERDAY?" even though I had already explained that I informed their staff yesterday that my son had been APPROVED. When I corrected her and explained that obviously I could not have applied yesterday if I was telling them he was already approved, she responded that this meant I had been going through the process for a while and should have notified them sooner. I found the entire interaction incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. My responsibility as a mother should NEVER be questioned by a receptionist over an insurance or administrative issue. I personally went to the front desk, provided my son's new insurance information, explained that he had been approved for ALTCS, asked what I needed to do next, and followed the information THEIR STAFF gave me. Jasmine eventually told me to call the insurance company myself to find out whether they would cover the therapies from yesterday and that otherwise I would have to pay for them. Insurance misunderstandings can happen, and I would have been completely willing to discuss the situation and find a solution. What I will NOT accept is being blamed, spoken down to, mocked, and repeatedly told that I NEEDED TO BE A RESPONSIBLE MOM, especially when their own staff had my son's insurance information in their hands the day before and never informed me there was a coverage issue. There is a professional way to communicate with parents. Questioning my parenting because of an insurance issue was completely unnecessary and crossed a line. I sincerely hope management addresses this situation with Jasmine and reviews how their front desk handles insurance changes and communicates with parents so another family does not have the same experience.
