I love Athleta clothing and used to love coming to this store. But they have noticeably reduced and all but eliminated plus sizes in the store. Options for trying on clothes in store are so limited, and I switched to Athleta from other brands because of their inclusive in-store sizes. But if their stores are phasing out inclusive sizing, I will go to brands that have it. read more

I really love Athleta clothes! I was looking for some leggings that are similar to my Lulus. Although I think the quality of Athleta clothes is there, I wouldn't recommend this location to shop. When I came in, I wasn't greeted or asked if I needed assistance. Even when I tried to ask someone what the differences are between their leggings, they didn't really answer my question and pushed me to try a certain kind of leggings instead of asking what I would use them for. Being that their prices are similar to Lululemon, I would just go down the street for better customer service if you need someone to work with you. Otherwise, I think I'll order my own athleisure and workout gear from Athleta at home. read more

Okay I know athletic clothes are not that interesting or really that fun to shop for...however... 5 stars customer service 5 stars for return handling 5 stars for shipping from another store when they done have it in theirs This is my new go to store. And I actually purchased 3 dresses and a skirt. I have received many compliments on them all. Also, you can schedule a private shopping time and they will pull clothes and have them ready. I have been a loyal Athleta customer and FitPro for years and today I received some of the worst customer service I have EVER received anywhere, from an associate working in your Naperville, IL store. I no longer have access to the email address I used to register for the FitPro program as I left the company and now use a personal email address. However, I am an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, ACE Certified Personal Trainer and I teach group classes at Rise Fit & Well in Glen Ellyn, IL, as well as own my own virtual teaching business. I have NEVER had a break in teaching or certification, I just don't have a company email address anymore and therefore did not receive an email in 2022 with the new FitPro digital pass. I still have my 2021 FitPro digital pass and my physical 2020 FitPro paper card. All I was trying to explain is that I did not receive the email in 2022 because I do not have access to the email address. Upon explaining this to the store manager in Naperville, an older blonde woman who was also training a new associate on the register, she told me no new applications were being accepted because "the program had been abused and was under review." I said that it was sad it has been abused and her response was "Talk to your fellow FitPros about their abuse." Who says that to a customer?! She did provide a phone number for me to call, and that didn't help but their online customer service was able to resolve it for me. However, I will NEVER return to the Naperville store, will share this customer service story with my clients and would appreciate if this woman kept her negativity to herself in the future. read more

I really like Athleta. I do not like the Oakbrook store as I have been treated rudely multiple times at that store. The Naperville store on the other hand is polar opposite...they are fantastic! They greet you ,help you, and go over and beyond what you'd expect! Sue has helped me and is one of those troopers who searches racks and online to get you what you'd like/need. So as I almost gave up on this store because sometimes online ordering doesn't work out.. I tried this store a few times and so very glad I did! Try this location -wonderful staff, great selection,and beautiful store front! read more

I actually had a really good customer service experience here. I took back a coat without tags or the original receipt, and the poor sales associate was kind enough to just give me store credit after trying to refund me in my original payment for 10 minutes. She didn't make any fuss or be passive aggressive, as I might have if I were in her position. Thank you to whoever that was! Also this location is very clean and I have never had a snobby feel from sales people and have always been asked if I need assistance (even though I have never showered or put on makeup or a bra before going in there.) I just feel like this location should have some positive reviews because it really is not a bad place! read more

New biz in downtown Nape? I'm there! I've never been to an Athleta store before and I have to say, I'm a fan! Their workout clothes are top notch. Not only are the options super cute, but the quality is there too. They have everything from your basic yoga pant and tanks, to fun neon and patterned options. My only bug-a-boo are the prices. Now mind you, from what I can tell the quality is there but I just can't afford to pay $50 for a tank or sports bra and $75 for yoga pants. Maybe one day when I really want to treat myself to some trendy gym swag. The store is really organized and the employees are extremely friendly! Athleta is conveniently located off of Washington downtown Nape. Street parking and a garage are located near by. I suggest stopping in! read more

No one asked me if I needed help. So I found someone to help me. I had questions about the sizing of the sports bras. I stated I was a D/DD and the employee looked at me and said you don't look like a D but ok. Pretty rude to say to a customer. Then I wanted to order a bra and no one offered to help. When I go to lululemon they always do it for you. Not impressed with their customer service. read more

I fell in love with a jacket online and reserved it at the Naperville store to try on and possibly purchase. This would be my first visit to any Athleta. The sales associates took snobby to a new level. There was an older, taller woman who made me feel like I was a child. I bought four items while I was there but not the jacket I came for because they didn't have the size I needed in the color I wanted. This was the case for many items; poor selection. I felt uncomfortable the entire time I was there. I wanted to like this store because it's close to home and as an avid runner, I'm constantly buying work out apparel. The sales person wanted to stand around and chat with her "instructor" who has stopped in instead of help a customer who was new and actually making a purchase. For this price point, there are stores I can go to and feel like my business is appreciated. The pants I purchased in two colors feel amazing, like butter, but do not do the job when it comes to running. This store is definitely yoga only. Or maybe just casual wear. read more

This is one of the most disappointing stores I have ever been to in Naperville. I would never recommend for anyone to shop at this crestfallen business. The employees are VERY snobby, stuck up and incompetent. This single-handedly has been my worst experience in a store. The quality of the clothes is atrocious; I am not sure if they are trying to compete with the likes of Lululemon and Nike but if they are, they are miles behind. I have found better clothes at Goodwill. For the good of your well being, I would recommend that you never buy from this joke of store. read more

Went there with my wife looking for a nice jacket... Three staff members were by the register and NO acknowledgment that we were even there until I spoke loud enough that they overheard us.. One of the ladies then helped us but to no avail.. Terrible customer service. Went to Lululemon nearby and received an immediate greeting and great knowledgeable customer service. We ended up buying a $200 jacket within 15 minutes of being there. They showed us other items and will be back.. That is how you sell - a little Customer service goes a long way!! read more

Today, my friend and her lovely mother went to go shop at this store in Downtown Naperville. They have been here multiple times previously with zero problems. However, today was different. As they walk in the store and begin looking at clothing, an older white woman starts to hover around them. To be clear they are Mexican. She follows them around the store and when my friend goes to try on a bathing suit, she walks up to her mother and begins questioning if she is actually going to buy something. They had been in there for maybe 15 minutes and this woman was pestering them about their intentions- to which her mother replied that she was just waiting for my friend to come out of the dressing room. When they are checking out and took out their credit card when the screen said the payment had processed, the sales woman kept saying that their card was declined (3. Whole. Times. when they had had no problems with getting their card declined before). The screen would go black every time they took out the card as if it was reset. She then finally accepted the card payment. Then when my friend tried to ask her to help ordering the bathing suit she wanted in her size (which they had done in the store with no problems before), the sales woman said it wasn't their job and that she couldn't help. She was an older white woman who clearly wanted nothing to do with my friend and her mother even though they have done nothing wrong. This is purely unacceptable and unnecessary behavior. 0/10 customer service. read more

I was inspired to shop in your store today in Naperville, Illinois, hoping to pick up another Everyday Skort and perhaps a few other things as well. I've popped in to this location ever since it opened last year, and it's always nice to see and touch the items in person before making a purchase. This was my third visit this summer. I was disappointed, once again to see that my preferred size of skirt was not available. I looked at the other skirts. They, too, were not in my size. I figured I could order online. I wandered around the store, looking at other items. There were many racks of clothes up, both regular priced, and sale items. It was alarming to me that there were almost no items sectioned off in the "medium" categories. I am talking bathing suits, sports bras, leggings, dresses, and even shirts - almost all of it was extra small or small. I started pulling skirts and shorts out from the display racks, only to see 0's, 2's and 4's. In fact, almost everywhere I looked, that's all I could find. Nobody helped me while I looked, which was fine with me, since I didn't really know what I was looking for. After about 15 minutes, though, I did start to wonder if they even knew I was in the store. I was baffled and frustrated about the sizes that were available. I had asked before and was told that the item in question was very popular and that it was hard to keep it in stock in all the sizes. I didn't feel like asking again. I felt hurt. Unwanted. Fat. Out of my league. Sad. As I walked out with nothing in hand again, I did stop to talk to an employee. She had the same things to say, and was as helpful as she could be. When I told her that the store made me feel like an elephant, I turned away with tears in my eyes. I have never had this emotion about shopping before, and it was very surprising and painful. It also made me angry. Athleta, if this is how your storefronts choose to represent you, that's fine. You need to make it clear to your customers, however, that you serve only a particular kind of body. I didn't think you were this kind of store - I thought you stood for equality in women, making everyone feel good about achieving more in their lives. Power of the She and all that. Stopped in here to exchange a swimsuit top I ordered online that did not fit. I was looking for another swimsuit top and the lack of customer service was horrible. When I finally got an associate's attention she was incredibly rude and dismissive. I decided to return the top without replacing it. I will not spend any further money in this store when I can go elsewhere and get great customer service! read more

Love the clothes but probably won't shop at the Naperville store anymore. Sales people were not nice or helpful. Totally ignore me. I bought pants there a few days before and thought they had gone on sale, so I ask the clerk if they were on sale - she didn't want to check and had such an attitude.
