Really cute store in downtown Wheaton specializing in baby and kids items. The sales folks aren't overbearing but welcome you to the store and allow you to wander. It seems like at the time I was here they'd just opened an expanded portion of their store, where they have some toys and things for older children--toddlers and up. You'll find lots of clothes, blankets, and books, as well as a couple wagons, strollers, and car seats. The owner is a midwife as well so you might avail yourself of services, too. I bought a couple of onesies that are magnetized. I keep hearing "no snaps!!" (but like EVERY PIECE of baby clothing has snaps...), so these were intriguing. They have a magnets along the flap as the closure mechanism so I bought a couple in the 6-9 month and above size to try them out. I have high hopes! read more

Came here to exchange a gift from a friend. I like that they have a lot of natural fiber clothes since at some other stores like target I can only find 2 items out of the entire store that are 100% natural fiber! Not sure what happened but my friend said they packed the wrong size of ruffle butt when they got the outfit. I went to exchange but they no longer had the size we needed. Still, the store associate was very helpful and helped us pick out another outfit that fit the same vibe. read more

I heard about this shop from a Facebook group I'm in. I'm so happy I found it! It's such a cute shop and I think she's the owner was the sweetest woman ever! I came because I've been interested in a Tula since my baby was born. I had tried several carriers and she wasn't really a fan of any except the baby k'tan (which I do love, but she slides down after about 20mins of wearing it). I wanted something studier for her and obviously something cute too! I found the perfect Tula in the shop. The woman in the shop was so pleasant and helpful in getting it to fit properly. I never would have got that by purchasing online. They sell cloth diapers new and used. So many cute prints!! I will have to come back and buy some soon. They had the softest cutest clothing. Hair bows galore. Muslin blankets. Amber teething jewelry. I was in baby heaven at this store! I honestly would purchase one of everything if I could afford it. read more

I came to A Baby Naturally with my daughter looking for a baby shower gift for my daughter's dance teacher. I explained to a younger saleswomen that the dance teacher's style is bright and vibrant. Being a dance teacher, she loves tutus and she also loves fashion that reflects her Argentinian heritage. An older saleswomen budded in and asked "how old is she?" Kind of an odd question to ask about a women, but I did tell her. (This should have been my first clue that something was off). We browsed for a while and it seemed all of the clothes, while very sweet and of nice quality, were all muted, neutral colors. This was not what we were looking for, but we were trying to support a local business so we tried to find *something* to get. The older saleswomen (you know, the one who asked about the mother's age) eventually told the younger saleswoman who was initially helping to us go ring up someone on the register because she was training and need practice on the cash register. Then she told me (this is a direct quote) "I don't think we have anything for an Argentinian mother." I very much regret that I didn't try to educate her on why what she said was so very wrong. I was busy trying to pick up my jaw up off the floor. (15 minutes after leaving it occurred to me to ask her "exactly *what* type* of mother does she have things for?" A missed opportunity, I suppose.) We left a few minutes later with neither woman looking up to say goodbye. We were the only customers in the store at this point so that was awkward. As we exited, my young daughter told me that she was made very uncomfortable by the sales associate's racist comment. I should mention that there is a caricature drawing of who I would assume to be Freida Kahlo on the window and papel picado hanging on the awning, which I found to be ironic to say the least. On several levels. Side note: we went straight to M And Em's in Glen Ellyn after leaving and our experience there was completely different. Not only did they have a larger variety of clothes to choose from (and a bright pink tutu dress for baby - PERFECT!), but the sales associates were much more pleasant. And appropriate. read more

I learned of A Baby Naturally when a coworker suggested I look into Bradley Method childbirth classes. My coworker used Lisa U. (owner of A Baby Naturally) as her coach 8+ years ago and spoke highly of her. The shop itself is amazing and filled with all sorts of natural products for Baby and Mom: cloth diapers, amber necklaces, baby carriers, Dock a Tots, cute outfits, swaddles, various teas and massage oils...the list goes on! Everything was right up my alley! I haven't done much shopping just yet, but already know I'll be signing up for the infant diaper exchange when Baby gets here! The Bradley Method classes I took were great: I learned so much about pregnancy, anatomy, labor, and natural childbirth. The 10 classes (2.5 hours/class) were very affordable and included three books plus a workbook. Lisa is so caring and knowledgeable, and I felt like she has been truly invested in everyone who attended the class! She is very connected with local doulas, and has great insight into midwife and OB practices and hospitals. She located two doulas for me to interview, and was such an amazing help with the process! I've received emails from her with FYIs, and she has been a great person to consult with when faced with difficult situations (unrelated to the class)! I completely trust her input: she's so kind and honest, like a long-time friend. This is my first pregnancy, and I couldn't have gotten anywhere without Lisa's guidance! (And I know I'll still be relying on her as a support and resource even though our classes just ended!) I completely recommended not only her amazing shop chock-full of baby and momma essentials, but her Bradley Method classes! read more

Such a cute store! So glad to have it in downtown Wheaton. If you're looking for cloth diapers, breastfeeding paraphernalia, amber necklaces, reusable snack bags, or anything else related to natural (also dubbed "crunchy") parenting, this is the place to go. They also sell essential oils and probably a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting, too. Find them on Facebook for pictures and updates on sales, special events, etc. There is a chiropractic office as well as a Homebirth midwifery associated with the shop, which is convenient for those who are interested. read more

I have been in this store multiple times in the past six months and every time the customer service is lacking. One time, we waited over 15 minutes to check out while the sales lady chatted (a lot) and wrapped presents for her friend. The next time, a different sales lady was unmasked and unfriendly. However, the last time I went in was the reason I am writing this review. One of the $38 sleepers I purchased had a faulty zipper. My daughter had worn it a few times but it had been purchased within the past few months. The woman in the store gave me a very bland "sorry about this" but did not offer anything else as far as a replacement or refund goes. Much cheaper items I have purchased from big box baby brands have held up far better than this. It's a shame as I really like to support local businesses and this is a cute one, but I can't recommend based on my experiences here. read more

I love this place! They recently relocated to downtown Wheaton from West Chicago and I'm so glad they're going to receive more exposure now. The store carries such a wide range of natural products, many of which aren't in your average store: baby carriers, cloth diapers, wooden teething rings, lifefactory glass bottles(!!), amber necklaces, accessories, etc. They really listen to their costumers and will often bring requested products in store. They also host a breastfeeding support group and occasionally other classes...just sayin! read more

I've been to the store twice. Both times were for gifts, and the women working were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and made it a very personal shopping experience. They were able to suggest many of the products (teas, balms, salts) as well as were willing to share their personal experiences with the products. They also told me about their amber jewelry and its properties, showed me numerous different styles, as well as also shared their personal experiences with the benefits of amber. The store has all sorts of things. Teas/balms/salts, amber jewelry, essential oils, cloth diapers, carriers, wraps, blankets, glass bottles, etc. Some products are very reasonably priced. Some can be a little more pricy - but due to the quality of some of the ingredients, or all natural/organic nature, you get what you pay for, but of course depends on your budget. Let me start off by saying I'm a first time mom and new to Wheaton. I've been dying to come into a baby naturally but was a bit intimidated I'm not sure why, but I was. Today was my first day in there and seriously I feel like I've missed out all along. The smell of essential oils greets you as soon as you come in, and so do the wonderful ladies who work there. I've been eyeing a Tula for awhile but wanted someone to teach me how to use it. First off I messaged them on Facebook at 11:30pm two days prior to coming asking if they even carried tulas and much to my surprise I received a message within the hour. Any-who I wish I could've gotten the ladies name who helped me not only pick a Tula and helped me try it on but I had mentioned that I missed their cloth diapering class and she literally went step by step with me about my questions. I can't believe how she went above and beyond to answer my questions. If I could give more stars I would. read more
