Within 10 minutes one of the Line bosses came out and said he was sending his most experienced worker Ron. Ron came within 30 minutes and he was very experienced craftsman and drilled the line out to the street. He found a large route in my line he removed water is now running from my drain to the street drain as it should be. I highly recommend Ron and Roto Rooter. When "everything" was backing up & not draining today, I gave them a call a little before 9AM. Gene promised to be there between 11AM & 1PM. I asked that he call me when he was on his way. As promised, he called & showed up at the house right on time. He even brought his VERY well behaved 14 year-old Australian Shepherd copilot (who stayed in his vehicle the whole time). While I thought the problem was due to our daughter's long hair plugging up the drain line from the bathtub, Gene (correctly) diagnosed the problem as a blocked main line. It took Gene about an hour to use his 300# power auger to cut/extract roots from the main line to the sewer. See the attached picture for the ~4" x 8" wad of roots that was plugging the drain. Once Gene was finished, he checked & double-checked to make sure that everything was draining properly. He made recommendations as to how we should avoid this problem in the future (basically, having roots removed from the line every 2 years or so). Dayton Sewer & Drain's bill was reasonable for the service they provided. There was NO attempt to "up-sell" us on services not truly needed. Gene quickly determined the problem & fixed it. We'll keep using Dayton Sewer & Drain in the future.

Took $450 and Disappeared…read more Absolutely terrible experience with C. Burns Plumbing. We called them for an emergency sewer backup affecting one of our tenants. Chris came out and used a hydrojet and told us the line was cleared. He then charged us $450 and left. The very next day the sewer backed up again, which means the problem was clearly not fixed. Since this was an emergency, we immediately tried to reach them. We called their office, texted Chris directly, and emailed their office multiple times asking them to return and correct the issue. They completely ignored us. No call back. No response to texts. No response to emails. No attempt to stand behind their work. They were very responsive when it came time to collect the $450, but once the job failed, they simply ghosted us. As out-of-state property owners, we depend on contractors to be honest and reliable. Instead, C. Burns Plumbing took payment for a job that clearly was not completed properly and then refused to communicate or take responsibility. If you want a plumber who takes your money and disappears when the work fails, this is the company for you. Otherwise, I strongly recommend finding a company that actually stands behind their work and answers their phone after they get paid. Extremely unprofessional and very disappointing.

Ever since his untimely passing, I've struggled to find anyone that could replicate his knowledge and ability - until now. Bear's Home Improvements LLC was literally a life-saver for me. I hired another company to put in a new tub, shower, and hot water heater in my home. They "found mold", which led to me hiring a second company that destroyed both of my bathrooms to remove the mold. Luckily, I was able to hire Bear to repair and remodel my bathrooms and I could not be more pleased.
