a person holding a piece of breaded chicken

I bought 2 chicken tender meals on 10/10 at approximately 9:00pm and when i returned home to eat them i found that they were pink on the inside and raw. My husband spent 30 min in the bathroom throwing up. when i went back to the restaurant to get my money back and ask for an explanation i was followed out of the establishment by the owner telling me that i better hope he doesn't find out where i live and that he was going to "get me ".

I recommend you just go to Franco's across the street. Athens Pizza is okay but there's nothing special or extremely good about this place. The ingredients are subpar, as well as the service and seating area. Due to COVID, your options are takeout. The crust was alright, the pizza was hot, it was decent pizza but if you want to take a bite and be like "OMGG THIS PIZZA IS DELICIOUS" then go across the street to Franco's.

    BLT

Ordered sanwhiches and bbq wings. My sandwhich was a simple BLT, came with the bread burnt-it's all I taste and I was never asked if I wanted my bread toasted in the first place. There's no a lot of the B, the L or the T either. A rip off if I'm going to be charged $10.99. The wings are hard, which means they were over fried and have bbq sauce barely covered the wings. Wasted my money and my time. Do not recommend.

There is something that can be said about a gentle Greek man still behind the counter of his own pizza place after all these years. If he's still standing in confidence answering every phone call, then you know you've found something special. Monday and Tuesday nights is a dirt cheap large cheese for $6.99, which causes gang riots with the posse at Angelo's offering similar pricing. Although the market point here is that Athen's maintained the size of their large through tough economic times, as Angelo's has cleverly downgraded it's "large" to that of the Domino's scale. A little stuffy for dining in, it's definitely one of those go-to takeout places after a long day. Their deals reeled me in; their staff and consistency kept me loyal. Must try: steak and egg sub with mayo, hot peppers, and the works. Best in Waltham offering: their french fries. Honestly, they're the best I think I've had anywhere. Pizza: pan cooked for a fluffy crust with a pretzelly crunch. The very definition of comfort food, covering the greasy, the gooey, and an inexplicable sweetness with the sauce. Tie it all together and it's boom, bang, pow in my kisser. This is such a nice escape from all the local places claiming to be New York pizza. Sure, you'll lose a couple months off your life if you eat a piece, but with these slices of heaven, you know what you have to look forward to is going to be delicious when your heart eventually gives out. Orgasm in your mouth: Are you ready for this gluttony? Their bacon pizza (the bacon comes in abundance, slightly charred adding an amazing crunch factor, and spreads its hickory-smoked grease across its Great Plains of cheese) topped with their french fries, and then lightly covered with the ketchup packets they provide for you. Lost your job? Eat it! Just got broke off with? Eat it! Got stabbed outside Rendezvous? Eat it then call 911! While Greek-style pizza isn't everyone's definition of a pizza, I consider myself to be Webster because it sure as hell is mine.

This small, modest joint is located on the Soutern end of Moody Street and serves up some pretty tasty Greek pizzas amongst other things. It's a family owned business with friendly owners and while they don't deliver, patrons are able to eat there or pick food up. Their menu isn't very diverse but features the classics which are pizzas, subs, pastas, salads and a few appetizers including their garlic bread ($2), mozzarella sticks ($3.29), onion rings ($2.25), amongst others. But what I can here for was their pizza which I called in and was able to pickup a few minutes later. I live less than a half a mile away from there and the whole process was very easy despite the fact that they don't have a website. I ordered their small Athenian pizza ($6.90) which features feta, olives and spinach. The smaller size was perfect for me and it was ready in less than ten minutes. And the Greek pizza was a different take on the usual Italian style which has flooded the Boston area just about everywhere. But what is a Greek pizza you might ask? Well it's a simple but slightly different process during which the dough is baked in a shallow pan, over a small amount of olive oil. This results in a chewier, puffier dough which is quite different. Overall, my experience there was good. They accept credit card payments, they were friendly, the place is clean albeit a bit on the claustrophobic side but I was happy to support a local, family business and wouldn't hesitate to get more pizzas from them in the future. Especially since the quality is solid and the prices are incredibly competitive. On a side note, it looks like Greek actress Nia Vardalos, famous for her leading role in 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' has been there and even signed a photo of herself which is proudly displayed on the wall. Cool.

The menu says fresh, healthy, etc. etc. the only thing fresh about that bagel was the avocado and maybe the egg. Pretty sure it was Oscar Meyer "bacon" or some other form of microwavable bacon (which isn't really bacon ). Which is totally unacceptable in this day and age. And the sweet sauce they put on it was horrendous. My stomach hurt the entire day. If you're not going to use quality bagels and quality bacon, you should not be charging almost $13 a sandwich. your menu should also list the ingredients line by line. I asked the cashier what was on this and he did not mention a disgusting sweet sauce. It's no wonder there's a line out the door for the café down the street and two people inside this café. Although I did not get anything else, but that sandwich, I will not be returning based on that alone. You should be ashamed for even serving that.

Everything I've tried here has been tasty. They have limited seating so I've seen it completely full if someone brings a larger group through the doorway. They have a bathroom that is keypad locked so if you've made a purchase just ask them for the #. The Hokkaido Toast sandwich was light and airy. The signature cream does make it on the sweeter side. It paired so well with the rose matcha latte which I've ordered twice now. The pastries and cakes look so tempting too in the display panels. I don't typically drink coffee but if I ever get there early enough I'll try the Crème Brûlée, Vienna Pistachio, or their signature latte. As a tea lover they also have some additional retail items for you to browse for tea steeping and gift sets. The only downside and maybe that's what makes it not as crazy busy on weekends as Tatte is that I want even more options. You can also order whole cakes too if one slice isn't enough. When it gets warmer I will try some of their smoothies and chilled drinks over ice!

They really are fried to perfection. Frituras de Maiz: (10/10): Wow, these fritters are also amazing. They come with such a rich sauce. The fritters are exploding with flavor. Cazuela de Coliflor Asada (9/10): Insanely good dish. The cauliflower has perfect texture, complemented by the pistachios. The sauce is SO good. The cauliflower soaks it up so well. Chicharrones (9/10): Melt in your mouth pork belly. The pork skin crust was perfect. The sauces really make most of the dishes here. This dish is no different - I loved the sauce. Ropa Vieja (9/10): Perfectly slow cooked meat. One thing that really stood out to me was actually the white rice. The rice was VERY high quality, and I appreciated it so much. It's rare to come by rice this good. It had the perfect texture, chew, and fragrance. Ropa Vieja de Hongos (9/10): Pretty much the same as Ropa Vieja above. The mushrooms are delicious, and the dish is just as good whether your order the mushroom or steak version. Empanada del Carne (9/10): Oh man, the crusts are so good. This is pretty on par with the ones I just had in Puerto Rico. Chuletas de Cordero (8/10): The seasoning is heavenly. I was licking the lamb chops clean. Croquetas (8/10): Very solid croquetas. Wouldn't say it's a must-order, but you can't go wrong with them. Costillas a la Guayaba (6/10): The first time I had this it was really nicely marinated, and the rib meat is so tender that it almost falls off the bone. The second time, the meat was dry. Maduros con Tocino (6.5/10): This dish was pretty good, but got overshadowed by the other ones. Pulpo (6.5/10): Octopus was tender and savory. The potatoes were too salty. Camarones a la Plancha (6.5/10): Solid dish, but I enjoyed some other ones even more. Ensalada de Aguacate y Pina (6/10): The salad was a bit too sour, and that sourness overpowered the dish. It was a great blend of ingredients, though. *** and one dessert *** Churros con Chocolate (8.5/10): Big crunchy fluffy churros!! The chocolate sauce is amazing (not really spicy at all).
