An appetizer of Brussels.

We're camping in Athens from out of state and decided to try the Brewery for a late lunch. Everything was great and the biggest bonus was being dog friendly. Both my husband and I loved the Brown Ale! We had the festivo salad with chicken and the OG burger plus a side of Brussels. Parker was our server and she was great from service to her suggestions on what to order. I'd definitely eat there again.

This was my first time here and the waitstaff was extremely helpful! No matter who helps you, I am confident that the experience will be great! I had the Reuben with sexy fries and paired with an apricot ale. Not only was the pairing recommendation great, but this is the best Reuben I have ever had! I definitely recommend this spot and will be looking forward to my next visit!

Hidden gem! Highly recommend stopping by when in Athens. I had their Pesto Chicken Sandwich with I believe the cowboy fries, both were very delicious! Portions are good as well, the fries itself could feed two people.

Walked in on a Saturday around 1pm after going ziplining and not haven eaten all day. Ambiance - There was only a couple in the entire restaurant, along with the workers. Very empty. Parking - Easy to find Service - Bartender was friendly, service was good. Food Chicken burger - 8/10 (the messiest burger I've ever eaten and parts of the chicken felt like it was more breading than chicken but overall very good!) Sexy fries - 7/10 Sweet potato fries - 10/10 Fried pickles - 2/10 (the breading was terrible)

We loved Athens Brewing. On a recent Wednesday evening, we arrived around opening and ended up staying until they closed! Beers were great, food was very good and service was nice, too. There is a friendly environment that is fun to be in. Glad we found you!

Asian Brussels sprouts and Out-Cider

Traveling through on a road trip to Kentucky, and wanted to stop at this restaurant/brewery. We ordered two flights of beer, which the guys seemed to enjoy. We all went on to order pints, and I can vouch for the Out-Cider, crisp and clean. The brussels sprouts were awesome, crispy and well-seasoned. We also ordered the gyro and a Reuben sandwich which both were very well prepared and tasty! Great atmosphere and friendly servers. Would recommend In a heartbeat

I'm overjoyed I have this place to come to when I visit East Texas. While visiting family for Thanksgiving, the Hubby and I stopped in and were blown back by the amount of relief we felt upon arrival. It's tucked away in the heart of Athens and actually brews their beer on spot at their location! Everyone was sooo warm and welcoming from the patrons to the bartender to the cook! The bartender gentlemen let us try all of the different brews until we found one that pleased our pallets. The cook came to see that we enjoyed our food and we DID! That was one hell of a cheeseburger and I've already expressed my live for Cesar salads in previous reviews. Well this one rocked the house as well! I will be sure to stop by every time I am in town!

Traveling from out of state from NM for work, I decided to check out Athens Brewing. A very awesome spot to stop into to wind down. I liked the atmosphere very much. The service was great, with the bartender taking the time to give me a description of the beers they had on the menu. I ordered their burger and it was perfect to satisfy my appetite. Thank you so much for allowinge to be your guest...

Friendly staff! Yummy food! Great tasting beers! Who would have thought you could have all that in downtown Athens. This is our new go-to place to escape the family and enjoy some brew and grub! Same family that owns Terra winery owns this new trendy brewery. Did I mention the beer tastes great too!! A must-do in Athens.. we will definitely return :)

We were told to seat ourselves and did, out on the patio. Waited 15 minutes for a server (or anyone) to show up. Finally just left.

My friend recommended this on his list of Irish Pubs around here, so I decided to give it a try. For a strip mall Irish Pub, it does take you into another world. Cool entrance that opens up to a horseshoe bar with tons of tables and booths. It was Trivia night, so they only had the Stanley Cup playoff on one TV. Sat down at the bar and ordered my Guinness and reviewed the menu. There were a couple of selections I was interested in (always gravitate to Bangers n' Mash), but went with the fish & chips with French Onion soup. Get these together, because the fish is delicious in the beef broth of the French Onion! It was good, though fish could've used a little more batter with the thick walleye filets. I loved it all and enjoyed the conversation with the bartender with the I Love Indie Horror hat. Some good ones out there that aren't being made like they use to!!

After we paid our bill with a credit card, I noticed that we were charged a 3% credit card fee. That was a first, and likely began in April since our last visit was on 3/24/26 and no credit card fee was assessed. Nowhere on the menu was it mentioned there would be a credit card fee, nor was it articulated by a bartender. That sort of fee makes me wonder what's going on in this establishment. Not sure we'll be back.

Then as things were nearing completion, I remember seeing a couple of employees somewhere and asking about it, and they said that it would be in "phase two". Then sometime later, I remember a construction guy telling me, "there ain't no phase two, what you see with Texas Live is what you got, there isn't going to be any expansion". I could never find anything out. Then about six months or so, someone who works there told me it was being built in the corner, and would be open soon. I figured I'd believe it when I saw it, and now it's here. It's a nice space, with a separate entrance. Really went upscale more than you would see in most taprooms. I think only the Choctaw Lounge is nicer, and you can't hardly get into that place. The bar top is almost as long as the room, lots of stools. A good amount of pub type tables, and a larger community table, along with some low height chairs and tables. All pretty nice furniture. Couple of roll up doors open into the patio during nicer weather. My couple visits, I've seen several beers that I've never seen on tap anywhere else. Revolver is supposed to be doing several beers for this location only. Lot's of different beers, and this is probably the only place you'll see with this many of their beers on tap at any given time. I've done the brewery events in Granbury and they usually have maybe 6-8 beers on tap. I'm seeing 10-15 different beers on tap here. You can also get food in here, most of it items from Lockhart BBQ. But there are a couple things unique to the taproom, including the chili. The chili is pretty good, but the jalapeno cornbread is fantastic. Anyway, really nice, great place to hang out. Plenty of TV's and usually some decent music in the background. Prices are higher, which is expected because of the location, but I've paid about $7-$10 for different beers. Looking forward to more special beers. Too bad all the beer snobs hate Revolver, some good new stuff in here.
