Stopped at this location after a hike in Forest Park. The location is nice and has very chill vibes. They have a door to enter the outdoor seating area, then another door to enter the area to get the goods. There is seating inside as well. People gathered together to talk and some were powering through on their laptop! There are various pastries on display and other food items on the menu that you can order as well. Was greeted and I inquired about the iced matcha, since I was feeling like matcha. They informed me that I could get any flavor and the Mango matcha has been very popular this summer. So I decided to go with that. It comes in a 16oz size. I like my matchas a bit stronger in taste. The matcha was ok & the mango was a nice addition. I love finding cafes in Queens, especially because there isn't such a surplus as there is in Manhattan. This spot was nice and cozy. You can only get here by bus, which is typical of Queens. I thought the drinks were a bit more on the pricier side but they were all good drinks. There is an abundance of outlets and tables to sit and do work from and their wifi is relatively fast. They have a great salmon bagel breakfast item, all other items seemed great as well, especially the sweets in the display case. I love the crowd here, there are people with families, those doing work, and usually older people coming in for a bite alone. It's a pretty sweet mix of things. read more

There's plants all over the store and even at the outside seating, brings a really good vibe to it. I'm so happy this cafe exists near me. I usually get an iced caramel latte with oatmilk or an iced strawberry matcha latte with oatmilk and they've always been really tasty. I've also tried their Nutella French toast and omgg it was scrumptiousss! I like to go for walks at Forest Park and stop here on my way back, and it feels like such a nice treat. The baristas are super nice and always so kind about any requests I have, and it's always nice to be greeted with a smile. There's plenty of room to sit and dine and also get some work done if you'd like. I've personally sat here to have a latte and read and it's always nice. I do wanna say that the prices are a little steep, so I go here as more of a treat than a regular spot. It's on par with Manhattan rates. I'll be back for sure! read more

I liked my experience here! It looks like inside there are plenty of seats with outlets, so it would make a great spot to work. I sat on their closed in patio-it's nice because it's on the sidewalk for people watching, but it's also closed in so you could be out there in all weather. I got a seasonal tea, the Fall Delight Chai, iced with oat milk. I GREATLY appreciate that they steep it hot before icing it and adding any milk. That's the correct way to do it!!! Came here for last minute dessert. We were told that they were closing an hour early due to need to finish construction. We ordered two coffees and a cheese danish and a chocolate layer cake. Food was average. It was at the end of the day and there were not a lot of choices to choose from. Service was good and they did a good job with the coffees. My perspective in this review is coming from a student looking for a nice place to get some studying done. With that said, I really enjoyed this cafe. There are plenty of tables inside with outlets, the coffee has been fine, and the ambience is pleasant. Although it can get busy, I've always managed to find a place to sit. I have only ordered the cappuccino and flat white, and both have been fairly standard. My main complaints would be the pop radio-friendly music being a bit too loud for studying and the slight feeling of being cramped between tables. Ateaz has really nice outdoor seating with some greenery over the top. The cafe in general has a lot of greenery, which contributes to its chill ambiance. The music isn't too loud and easy to tune out with noise cancellation. The service in Ateaz is great as well. The employees handled requests even beyond the drinks (like music selection) nicely. They even handled a particularly challenging passerby with such kindness. As for the drinks, the cold brew (black) is smooth and not too bitter. The mango tea lemonade is amazing by the way. Not too sweet and has such a nice mix of mango and lemonade tea. Refreshing as well. Overall, Ateaz has my highest recommendation for a cafe. Me and my bff go here every single weekend, we are local and regulars. We also stop by several times during the week. The people that work here are very pleasant and go the extra mile to serve you. EXCEPT for this one girl (blondish hair) she seems to be in a bad mood all the time and makes snarky comments. Not sure what her problem is but makes a big deal out of anything we ask for. For some reason they started closing really early during the week (7 pm!) thats fine, but i guess don't bother to show up at 6.45 or 6.50 because if shes there she wont sell you anything, not even the pastries that she doesn't even have to warm up. I do a lot of work on my computer for my professional life, so I have taken to going here, picking a table, and setting up my computer to work. Never any problem. Of course I also buy some food and a beverage or two. The service is wonderful, and a woman named CATALINA stands out. She is immensely welcoming and friendly and works hard to keep the customers happy and the place neat and tidy, with a great smile and personality also. The menu here leans heavily onto deserts and beverages, all very fine. It is my absolute favorite place in the neighborhood. There's a lot to like in terms of variety. I love the free bagel with Yelp check-in because it was tasty. I am all for delicious grilled cheese and soups. I even eyed avocado toast (my go-to). I like that Ateaz did have other foods available besides just desserts and sweets. I did see a lot that I wanted to try. That was a good coffee I have to say. I think I would come back. Last time I tried this place, I brought my son and my friend, and we had a nice time there. I saw a ton of space inside, so it seems big enough for a big group or fun friend hangout.
