I have even paid to have my daughter on concierge service plan in past because I trusted Dr Vu so much. After I finally did some research I realized that I could pay optical insurance out of pocket for a minimal fee (my current work provides no medical benefits) so I happily called Look to schedule my appointment. I was told I would pay the $15 co-pay and a $39 back of eye scan (not a required thing at most drs it's optional). I specifically asked if there was a contact fitting fee as I assumed there would be and the person on the phone said no. I drove to the office which is now further from home in the middle of my work day and was told the total was over $100..close to $150 I believe. I questioned the cost and they explained to me there is an $89 contact lens fitting fee. I said well that's odd because I was informed of the total and booked and drove there based on what I was told on the phone $15 and $39. I am not one to make excuses but I had just legitimately double paid my marketplace health insurance (not cheap) the day before and my account was not in great shape because it was before my next payday so I explained this and also that I was not told the right thing. Instead of showing any level of sympathy or concern for me and my circumstances as a long standing patient (and someone who has paid them thousands of dollars over the years), the option given to me? "You need to reschedule"..I walked out frustrated and saddened by my experience but I sat in my car for a moment and decided no, this was not my fault and they should be more accommodating so I went back in after already feeling embarrassed by how I was dealt with. So I opted to use my contact lense allowance to cover the add'l fee meaning I gave up an extra $30-50 for contacts. Fine..I could be seen. This experience didn't feel completely normal probably because of a combination of my embarrassment (bc I am a responsible adult) and the shortness of Dr Vu which was maybe frustration. But I got seen and was put in a higher level prescription bc my eyes are sadly getting worse. So now I start wearing the trial pair and after a couple of weeks, it's just awful despite buying readers that I was instructed to buy. I call back and ask about my options because this one clearly is not working. Well I can be seen again but the fitting fee for multi focals is more so now I need to pay an additional $46 for a new fitting (and I guess pray it works bc every time I go in there seems to be some new fee) and also order the more expensive lenses out of pocket because reminder I used my allowance for the fitting fee the first time. I don't know what has happened..maybe the break in or whatever but if you want to pay high fees because you are wealthier than I, have at it! I'm certain that someone else will treat me with more respect and care because I feel very disheartened by this experience and now I have been treated/made to feel after so many years and faith in the practice.

Everytime I come in there, she blocks my way to get contacts or speak to the doctor. Today, she refused to give me a pair of contacts to hold me over until I could order some this week - she then told me the cost was $20 - NEVER have I had to pay for any current prescription pair to hold me over in all the years as a client at this place. In addition, it's clear she is making up rules as she see's fit and based upon whether or not she likes you. When I confronted her with this and she again refused, I asked when could I speak to the doctor. She then took down my name and date of birth and went in the office with the door shut and took it upon herself to speak to the doctor and give him the narrative she choose to give him instead of allowing me to speak directly to the doctor by a phone call. After waiting and waiting, this woman came out to tell me that the doctor stated I had to pay for "trial" lenses. What a joke this place is. Furthermore, the last time I came in there to order contact lenses, she wrote down the prescription wrong - when I got them I had to go in the store and she had to reorder them. At that time, she decided to give me a pair of what she is now calling "trail lenses" to hold me over. But this story gets better - she had denied those same lenses that day I came into order my contacts stating she was out of that prescription - are you following me - THIS WOMAN IS A LIAR. I guess I was getting in the way of her commission as she was working with a customer trying to sell the overpriced eyeglasses in their establishment. I had a problem years ago with their other staff stealing money from me when I went to purchase glasses - its why I don't buy glasses from them because that commission has them salivating so hard they have to steal. Let's be clear, this woman who is lucky to be employed, has decided she doesn't like me and her ignorance shines through. It's okay, she's made me dislike her as well - all by her nasty self. I'm a true believer in karma and while this review may not stop all of you from coming here, it will cause you to think twice when encountering this woman who is inept & clearly just holding onto her job by giving her narrative to the doctor. And BTW, the doctor is an idiot to only hear one side of the story - that right there should tell you all you need to know about this place. I suffered from lots of painful eye straining even when not at a computer, dryness and irritation in my eyes that wouldn't go away with eye drops, headaches and constant motion sickness. After going to a primary healthcare doctor and walking away with nothing I decided to get my eyes checked. My husband started coming here for his contact lenses and he liked them so I decided to come too. I was told that the "reading glasses" I was given in the past were a wrong prescription, which I believed because they did NOTHING for me. Then, Dr.Nguyen told me about this new exam called Neurolens, at first I was skeptical, I wondered if they were just trying to sell me something because my insurance didn't cover it. But after reading the pamphlets, watching some videos on this new technology, and discussing with my husband I decided to try it. It was quite expensive but let me tell you, Dr. Nguyen was right. My results were that i had misaligned vision which was why my eyes strained so much even though I have 20/20 vision! He explained to me that it would take some time to adjust. The first week I hated wearing the glasses because everything looked distorted! I felt like I was going to fall and I'm a busy mom , I was a bit worried. After complaining to my husband about having to wear glasses when I have perfect vision, at around 2 weeks I stopped complaining. These glasses were the solution. I don't know how, I don't know why, but whenever I wear them I do not strain my eyes at ALL. I don't feel motion sickness, my eyes have not been dry at all. The lady who does the initial testing and the pressure test explains exactly what she is doing, and she is very personable. Klein Eyecare does not use that "puff" machine to test pressure because they invest in new methods that are better and not unpleasant. The experience and accuracy there is excellent.
