I don't even know how to adequately thank Dr. Jeremy Gransky for his kindness and professionalism with our family. We lost BOTH of our dogs in 2021 to cancer and we were so devastated at the thought of their last act being taken to a sterile and scary animal hospital to be euthanized. We were so lucky to have found these guys. Dr Gransky has a bedside manner that I've never experienced even from human doctors. He tells you everything to expect beforehand, so there are no horrible surprises. He gives your family time to say goodbye as he waits outside in his car. He is just so caring and has figured out EXACTLY what grieving pet families need to start their journey without their pet. The office is so kind and helps make arrangements for cremation (if that's what you want) and they send handwritten sympathy cards and they make sure the cremation process is handled quickly and professionally. I simply cannot recommend these folks enough. We miss our dogs so much still, but instead of anguishing over how they had to spend their last hours, we can cherish the time they got to spend with us at home, feeling safe and loved. Our beloved cat Chuck recently got diagnosed with cancer. He was declining rapidly and we wanted him to go at home. Everywhere we called didn't have availability until we got a hold of At Home Veterinary who offered to switch things around to come the next day. I'm a little late in posting this, but last year my 16-year old cat was not himself for a few days. I was getting concerned and called At Home Vetinerary. They immediately came to my home in the early afternoon and told me my cat was in heart failure and was dying. I was In shock and heart-broken. Without a peep from him they gently put my prince down as his Gray Tabby companion of 8 years bade him farewell and mourned him for 4 days by not eating and only sleeping. Drs. I can't say how grateful I am to have Dr. Gransky as Sunny & Kisa's Dr. I am a full time pet sitter and several of my most discering clients have used him for years. I had always heard wonderful things about him and referred him to my clients who needed at home care for their cats and dogs. My Sunny who is about 11 was diagnosed with Lymphoma of the GI tract by our previous Vet. Unfortunately it is impossible to tell whether a cat actually has Lymphoma or IBS without a surgical biopsy which is not recommended. I was referred to New England Veterinary Oncology in the beginning and while excellent during our first visits my Dr. scoffed when I wanted to reduce the medication they prescribed and take my Sunny off of Chemo pills after he broke out in a horrific case of feline acne on his chin. I have enough experience with Chemo to know that he can go back on it if necessary, and I wanted to start with the least amount of medication and then increase if necessary. I wasn't even certain that my kitty actually had Cancer. After the Vet at N.E.V.O.G. got pretty upset with me when I suggested slowing down Chemo and then hoping to take Sunny off it all together I stopped taking him there. Also Sunny WAS so stressed during his visits at NEVOG. They had shaved his tummy when he was not sedated before an ultrasound without telling me, and after that he would NOT let anyone get near him. It was definitely time to call Dr. Gransky and have Sunny treated at home. During my first visit with Dr. Granksy I felt a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. I told him about my decision to take Sunny off the Chemo and see how he did and only add it back if his condition worsened. Dr. Granksy supported my decision 100 percent. We agreed to continue to monitor his steroid use with an aim of reducing it if possible. He completely listened to my point of view and reasoning. He took such care and time with Sunny and was so gentle and kind with my buddy even when he got very grumpy during the examination. Dr. Gransky is so calm and having him in my home is such a comfort. I also never feel like Dr. Gransky rushes through our visits which seemed so common when going into my previous Vet's office. We also have a VERY shy cat who we also hated stressing out by taking into the Vet's office. She does so great with Dr Gransky! Dr. Granksy always listens carefully to my opinions and point of view. I never feel like he is trying to push any treatment or medication. With previous Vets I often felt like they had already decided on medications and treatment and what I said or felt about what was best for my kitty didn't seem to factor in. One and a half years after his diagnosis my Sunny is doing great and down to one half of a steroid pill every other day (!) With the support and guidance of Dr. Gransky and by following my instincts we made Sunny's life so much better! He has made what was a heartbreaking and stressful diagnosis manageable and I am SO glad to have him as our Dr. read more

We were very fortunate that Dr. Melinda Persson understood the urgency of our situation, had a cancellation and was able to slightly shift some other appointments to get to us. I really can't say enough about Dr. Gransky and his whole team. They're simply amazing. We have two cats. One is more or less fine with vets, but the has always been a total wreck. At our last vet, they had to sedate him -- and even that took full-arm kevlar gloves. Have you ever heard Monty Python's bit on the Death Of Mary Queen Of Scots? It was worse. That's when we looked into home visits. Dr. Gransky has always been amazingly patient and gentle with Cody, and helped reassure us as our cat was freaking out. What's more, he worked to try and find ways to relax Cody, and amazingly, he found one that worked! At our last checkup, Cody was only slightly miffed. We've been trying for *years* to find ways to relax him, to no avail -- until now. As far as the nuts and bolts, everything is great there too. Dr. Gransky always takes the time to explain everything to us, and we've never gotten the feeling that he overprescribes. His staff is great, too: always timely, informative, and warm in all of their communications. We couldn't recommend them more. read more

We (the cat and I) have had the pleasure of Dr. Jeremy Gransky as our vet. since 2007. Both of us are delighted with his attention and caring. The cat (a retired attack cat) loves Dr. Gransky and he will let the vet. do everything from bloodwork and clipping claws to weight with minimal to no hissing. This is the same cat that has had vets terrified and shaking in corners while I consoled them and tried to coax them out. Somehow I imagined I would be consoling and coaxing my cat, not the vet-which is what lead to finding a vet who comes to the house. There is a charge for the home visit, but as my cat was traumatized into attack mode by car rides, this is easier on both of us and well worth the additional charge. Dr. Gransky even caught my cat's symptoms of hyperthyroidism and after expensive bloodwork (I highly recommend pet insurance if you don't have it--I don't.) it has been controlled ever since. My cat is happy and energetically himself thanks to the care and concern of Dr. Gransky. I know that my cat would not be here without his care (he was starting to have heart, kidney and liver failure prior to control of his hyperthyroidism) and it is wonderful to have his later years be as active and full as his younger ones. He is our favorite vet to date. The cat likes his gentle and efficient appointments, and I like the follow up phone calls and emails that answer my questions. They are easy to make appointments with, quick to respond to emails / follow up with phone calls, passionate, helpful and very knowledgable. My 18 year old cat (Mimi) first saw Dr. Gransky for hyperthyroidism. Her initial treatment of 2 blood tests and following daily pills went smoothly, and Dr. Gransky was sure to explain every step of the process and answer my many questions. It wasn't until Mimi's rapid decline that I fully understood the value in having a great and compassionate vet. The team explained our options, weighed the final results and helped to solve the many many doubts in a pet owner's mind about which decision is best. After I decided on euthanasia (which was so peaceful and I absolutely recommend doing it in the comfort of your home), the team worked with us to move up the appointment and fit us in early as Mimi was really suffering and couldn't wait until her scheduled time. When my dog started to feel better, he began what I would call "high pressure death sales pitch," using guilt in his tone as a motive, that my dog will never recover and never be himself again. We recently made the heart wrenching decision to put our beloved 13 year old dog to sleep and decided we wanted to have it done at our house. I called At Home Veterinary and connected with Jane who was amazing! She explained the process and how we could stay in contact for when the final time came. I then called one evening and Dr Gransky came out the next afternoon. Simply said, Dr Gransky is amazing. He was so kind, calm and professional and reassured us we were making the right decision. He sat right on the floor with us and explained everything he was doing and made the agonizing process very peaceful. The paperwork was very quick and Dr Gransky was able to do it with my husband while we all sat with our dog. We were able to do everything slowly and never felt rushed everyone felt like we had plenty of time to say goodbye. When she is restrained and her belly is palpated, my cat produces a continuous loud moan that periodically shifts into a piercing scream, which I cannot explain unless she has somehow learned the art of circular breathing. She also suddenly develops the strength of five men. If this describes your cat, rest easy. You're in good hands. Dr. Gransky is skilled, calm amid chaotic circumstances, and is an excellent communicator. If your pets don't travel well or appear to be possessed by evil spirits when placed in a vet clinic's waiting room, and you can afford to pay a little more for the convenience of a home visit, I think you'll be very happy with it. read more

I have a very challenging cat and last year Jeremy was fantastic. This year was even more difficult because of my cat's dental issues so I asked if I could have not only the vet, Melinda, who was amazing, but also Abby, the vet tech as well. They both arrived and did an incredible job with my cat. Melinda also prescribed a liquid sedative as my cat would not take the sedative in a pill format. I cannot say enough good things about this awesome practice. I am just so happy they exist. They go out of their way to make the experience easy for the pet and the pet owner. We had the guy who's based in Natick come to see a sick cat and he basically just ran a standard set of tests. What was disappointing was communication around costs and general professionalism. We were charged for an emergency visit, though we made the appt. a week in advance (explanation was that we weren't in his normal service area, but this wasn't explained at time of making appt.). And we never got a receipt--first the Vet's portable printer wasn't working, then he didn't follow-up with a mailed receipt as promised. Finally, what's been a problem with all vet's, is it seemed a lot of needless tests were done. We just needed to know if the cat's liver was functioning normally--it's hard not to suspect that an entire battery of other examinations isn't just added to jack up the cost (and besides making the visit more expensive, it really annoys the cat.) And we were willing to pay a little extra to avoid the trauma of taking the cat somewhere, but it seemed to end up being more traumatic for the cat to be poked and prodded in his "own" home. read more

So thankful he was able to help us at the end of our dog's life. She had a fear of the vet's office so there was no way I was taking her in to put her down. On her final day, she was having seizures and Dr. Gransky was able to clear out a stretch of time to come out as early as possible and it was a beautiful experience. I shelled out over $700 for a house call for my cat and dog. I made the appointment because my dog had a cyst that was infected, and my cat needed a checkup. The doctor confirmed that the cyst was infected and prescribed an antibiotic--that was all he did to treat it. I paid over $700 and he didn't drain it! How crazy is that? Had I known that my poor dog wouldn't get any relief from the home vet visit - I would have saved myself the money and aggravation and just brought her to SLADE's so they would actually TREAT her (which is what I ended up doing a couple days later anyway). My cat got a clean bill of health from the check-up but was diagnosed with pancreatitis a few weeks later when I brought her to back to our real vet. She passed away last month. Don't waste your time/money here. If your pet is sick you'll end up back at your regular veterinarian's office anyway--so why pay such an enormous fee for nothing? The worst part is that my poor dog suffered longer than she should have-and my cat wasn't diagnosed properly because I made the wrong call--I won't do that again. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Gransky! He came the same day I emailed for an appointment to check out a suspected urinary issue with my elderly cat. My cat is notorious at vet clinics on the West Coast because of his bad behavior, so I was hoping to avoid bloodshed. Dr. Gransky was able to see our rapidly deteriorating basset hound on just a few hours notice. I called 8 - 10 vets and everyone else just referred me to the emergency vet. Dr. Gransky's assistant, Erin, worked diligently to fit me in and was incredibly patient. Dr. Gransky evaluated our dog and gave us our options. He confirmed what we already knew - it was time to let our old guy go. He let us know he could run tests, but if it was his dog, he'd let him go given his condition. My 14 year old English Cocker Spaniel was in final stages of kidney failure. I was extremely distraught over losing her and also whether I was making the right decision. I felt I had to share what a peaceful passing our old man experienced thanks to Dr. Jeremy Gransky. Not only was he incredibly professional and knowledgeable, he was just so kind - from hugging me at the door and telling me he was genuinely sorry to be meeting me under these circumstances, to treating our boy with utmost respect and dignity throughout the process. I had never interacted with At Home Vet before, but when our boy started to exhibit clear signs on Monday evening that his kidney disease had reached the point of causing him great suffering, I knew I had to do something. During a sleepless night, agonizing over the fact that our buddy got extremely stressed going to and especially while at the vet's office, I researched vets that travel to the home, and landed on this very Yelp page with excellent reviews for Dr. Gransky. I left a teary voice mail message at 5 AM and the practice manager, John, called me back promptly when the business opened to let me know that Dr. Gransky could fit me in that same day, despite my living outside the regular practice area (John, too, was so kind and respectful, and it was most appreciated.)
