First, the staff at Ashfield Cheyne Veterinary Services are extremely courteous and provide a great customer experience from when you walk in the door until you leave. Dr. Marks is great! To put it frankly, there is no 'B.S.' with him and he is upfront and honest with you. From everything to your dogs condition to his services. His goal is to just provide a great veterinary service that you feel is worth every penny and it shows! His attention to detail and care for my dog was great! He takes the time to answer any questions and is genuinely interested in you, your dog and what you have to say. His services are not simply in and out. Other veterinary services will take your dog to another room and perform the shots, which frankly bothers me. Not only does the dog stay in the room, Dr. Marks gave him the shots and drew his blood! Again, the little things matter. If you live in Norwood or surrounding areas, Ashfield Cheyne Veterinary Services is bare none the best around. Spent over $1,300 for a consult and spay just for them to be closed for 2 days in a row with less than a 24 hour notice. Waited over 30 minutes at the initial consult appointment. Day of the spay appointment, I drop my cat off at 8:00 AM and was not even given a phone call with an update. Tried to call them for an update at 1:45: PHONES OFF!!!!! Called at 2:00 PM to find out the my cat has BEEN SITTING IN A KENNEL AND STILL MOT SPAYED! She was not spayed until 3:00 in the afternoon with the excuse that "it's busy" but they'll put her under and give her something to come back up. AN 8lb CAT?! She's not a science project. She was in a kennel for more time than she was in recovery which was a little less THAN 2 HOURS! Arrived at 5:30 for the pick up and Waited over 15 minutes in an empty lobby until someone decided to step out from the back. Brought my cat home with oral gabapentin and she could not tolerate it. Was advised by a TECH to continue giving oral gabapentin when my cat was clearly adversed to it and told me to call back if she was still having problems. Tried to call back and they were closed from 12:00 on Friday until that Monday. Not even ONE doctor on staff? Closure announcement made LESS THAN 24 hours in advanced AND made through their GOOGLE ACCOUNT? Not even an email or automated phone call to inform patients? Sketchy business, sketchy service and I will NEVER go back. I will be letting everyone I know to steer clear of this vet unless they want to spend a grand for lousy service.

She was a patient of the place down the street but they were "too busy" to take her in because they had a staff meeting. I was banging on doors pleading for help. No one answered. I finally drove with my sick dog on my lap down the street to this place. As I ran in the office pleading for help, everyone in this hospital ran out to help us. They were very kind and welcomed us with open arms. Unfortunately, it was too late, my dog was too sick and did not make it. I just want to thank everyone who worked on 9/28/23 who ran out and helped us. You all were supportive and so compassionate. You're outstanding not just as employees but as people.
