What a cute little boutique shop to get gifts and trinkets! I came in on a Saturday and Debbie was…read morejust a delight. Very helpful and patient as I roamed around to look at clothes, home goods, what was on sale. They hand pick cute and unique items for the shop from clothes to decor and even snacks! This is the kind of shop you come to to buy the perfect little gift for a friend or family while also buying something cute for yourself. I ended up taking advantage of the Christmas decor sale and bought a few stuffed gnomes, a small baker pot with lid that I plan to use for not only desserts but soup!, and the cutest tin of cookies. I also got an adorable unique stitched kitchen towel for a gift for a friends birthday coming up. The owners go out shopping for unique finds at different trade shows and markets. I look forward to seeing what they bring out next for spring and shopping around for the next treasure I can find. I've been admiring the Menards ad for a while now. I had a co-worker give me a power point step by…read morestep explanation of how 11% back works. Oh and for those that don't know- They don't actually send you a check for 11% of your purchase to cash. It's 11% of your purchase to spend.....at Menards. Which is ok.......it brings them repeat business and if you were working on a room remodel, this deal would really come in handy. I don't know that it's worth it for the whopping $13 bucks I spent today but hey, every little bit counts. So what is Menards? Is it a hardware store? Uh, sorta. Maybe it's a Big Lots on steroids..........which I think may be a more accurate answer. I do like the intrigue of the 11% back but what wasn't so intriguing were the prices. Average at best. And a bit on the high side on many items. I dunnu, I'll continue to check out their ads. It's not too far from home. If there's something I can't resist, I'll be back.

I had never heard of Sea Love until I saw an advertisement on Facebook for a Psych trivia night. As…read morea "psych-o" (a Psych fan), I was all in! It was not a trivia night like I was used to, but it was awesome! It was more of a candle making session 3 rounds of Psych trivia questions. They had themed mocktails and a made themed candle! It was so fun! The candle making process was SO much fun too! They get you set up with an apron and then show you how to mix and match scents that you might want. There are over 100 different scents to choose from! You also get to choose which size/color your candle jar you want. The pricing goes by the size of the candle, with the small ones starting around $38. After you choose your scents and jar, you go to your seat and then they instruct you on pouring the right amount of oil(s) for the size candle you are making. As you pour your oil until you get it to the right blend that you want, you stir the oil in the little measuring cup. After that, they help you with attaching the wick in the bottom of the jar. After that, you get some time to name your candle, make your label for it, and put the scent mixture label on the bottom. The last step is pouring in the oils and the hot wax! They give you a beaker of the hot wax depending on the size jar of your candle. You pour your oils in first and the hot wax on top. You then mix the wax and oils until they are well blended. After that happens, they give you a pair of "chopsticks" to put around your wick to keep it standing up while it curates. It takes 2 hours to curate. If you don't have the 2 hours, you can come back another day to pick it up. This was such a cool experience! I want to do a girls night out with it! In addition to this, the staff was AMAZING! Lily was super crazy helpful. She ran the trivia night. I won the trivia night in the time slot I was at. The prize was a wax melt and some popcorn. I ended up purchasing some other things to bring home!

I had a terrible experience with Morris from beginning to end. We placed an order online after…read moretouring in store. We opted to work with the online order system because we did not like the high pressure sales tactics of the in store representative. There was a sale advertised and when we went to order it, the system continuously shut down. I was contacted by the ecommerce department the next day and they agreed to honor the sales price and place the order. It took three attempts for them to actually get the price correct and three days to place the order but it did get placed and the rep was very nice and seemed to work very hard within her controls. When delivery time came, the delivery person said he would not take the dresser up the stairs because it weighed too much and they only had two people. (They knew the weight when they left the warehouse I assume). They tried to say it had something to do with my staircase and when I explained that my staircase is wide open with no walls to navigate and is a standard mass build home, they finally admitted they did not schedule correctly. They tried to deliver the nightstands only but I refused a partial delivery. When trying to reschedule, they put me off for over a week which landed during a planned vacation. I explained this and they said they would have to give my dresser to another customer rather than hold it and I would be put back on the list for when a new one came in. I explained that this was due to their fault and they agreed to hold the dresser. When the next delivery date came and I was back in town, they informed me the morning of my delivery that the dresser was damaged and they'd do a partial delivery again. I refused and canceled the order. I have no doubt they gave the dresser away to another customer. I will never order from Morris again. They have no ability to manage a project, terrible communication, and a lack of ownership for their mistakes. The one thing they do have going for them is Brandy in their ecommerce department. Unfortunately, she is part time and often unavailable and lacks the authority to correct the problem on her own. She is willing to work through a problem and she is very professional. I'd hire her in a minute and I'd bet someone will because no employee wants to work under the circumstances of angry customers all the time.

If you are looking for something that Walmart or Target does not carry, the store has a lot of…read moreunique items for your home. I am rating it with three stars, as the store is just OK. I don't normally choose this store to go into unless I'm looking for something specific. They have several 'as seen on TV' items that not all stores in the area carry. They can be a little pricey on household items--and yet, they have some very unique items. For instance, I went into the store to find a dish I could place overtop my other dishes in the microwave to avoid a mess. It was a specific item made for the microwave. It was less than five dollars. While inside, I found a cute doormat that had been $20 and was in clearance for five dollars. I wouldn't have paid $20 for it, but I was thrilled to get it for $5. It is one of those stores you can walk in and purchase nothing or come out with a handful of items that are great deals. The cashier here was super friendly, as she told us about a 20% coupon on the app 'retail me not'. Barrett sister store is called Buy Buy Baby, and you can use coupons for that store inside this one. I would've never known that if the employee would not have shared that with me. She was super sweet!

Corporations like Bed Bath & Beyond pay lip service to customer service. They pay a cheaper price using foreign services to perform what should be a more friendly interaction. When I went to the store in Mason, Ohio two weeks ago I was shocked to see the prices. Items that would cost $ 29.00 to $ 35.00 were now $60-$70! Unbelievable! Even with their 20% coupons you are being gouged. Rampant greed is and will be the final nail in the proverbial coffin! You can do much better at other stores. I highly and without reservation don't recommend them.

So I was extremely pleased when I met the staff at this location. No pressure on the sale, had a very timely and quick delivery date available. Walked in and gave them an idea of what I wanted and it was as easy as could be. Or at least easier than awful places I had been to previously. Day of delivery you get a 2 hour window emailed to you the day before is the only slight inconvience in the process. That being said once the truck pulled up it took less than 10 minutes start to finish. I hope to not need anything in the near future, but if I do, this is certainly a location I will be back to.
