Each area is categorized by color: blues to the right, browns and whites straight ahead, violets in the back of the store. Open doorways weave in and out of the dividing wall, allowing customers to float freely from continent to continent... er... section to section. Beautiful, plush scarves caught my eye, as well as some of the old writing table decorations. One room in the back was filled with an assortment of accessories, like jewelry, hair barrettes, and hats. Incredibly well organized, this shop is like strolling through a fashion museum. Prices were a little higher than expected, and although there were two salesladies in the store, neither of them acknowledged that I was there. That bumped Vintage Marketplace down to three stars. I'd still stop back for a browse though. The window display changes frequently (and, in my opinion, is the most elaborate in Hyde Park), so something new will likely draw me in again.

One found me a shoe in a size that wasn't even on the floor, another brought a different size to the dressing room, and a third suggested a better way to complete my transaction! Now keep in mind the stuff here is brand name and higher end than, say, a Marshalls, but I still found a ton of good deals. I saw higher end brands like Tory Burch, Birkenstock, Democracy, and more. I got a $200 free people dress for $35! It's now definitely worth checking out and could be dangerous... I got so much stuff!

Staff was made to stand at the entrance to welcome the customers super sweet. So for people who have been to NR it's definitely a couple of notches above TJ Max but the model is similar. This store is tucked in Mason kind of behind the old JCPenney store in Fields Ertel. They have a great parking lot with easy access to their store. I am a huge clearance shopper, so I go to check out the clearances, in all honesty. I definitely have found items at this location, but I seem to have better luck finding better quality clothes at the Lebanon store. I have learned that you have to really watch the material and fabric, as not everything lasts a very long time after purchasing. If you peruse the clearance section, you will definitely see dresses that have been ripped or torn. It makes me question the fabric. However, if you are looking for a nice dress for maybe one or two outings, you can find some really great things for $10. If you are okay with paying about $25-$40, you might be able to find some thing on the sale rack that is pretty good quality. If you do not find anything on sale, it will be closer to $60-$90. Again, not awful--just more than I like to pay. Positive side: I love the trendy items there. Everything has a very Bohemian chic feel. I usually wear a small or medium most places, but I definitely size up when I purchase things at this store. Everything I wear purchased from here, I get tons of compliments on.

But oh my gosh, they have some to-die-for knits here! Do you ever find yourself watching a well-styled movie or TV show and you're thinking, "that's the outfit I want! It's so effortless and chic."
