My review is based on the ladies room alone. WHY do you have only an air dryer for hand drying but then a door handle that must be pulled inwards? So many people do not wash their hands or inadequately wash their hands -- now we have to use our clean hands to touch a disgusting door handle. read more

At Home is exactly where I should've stayed because I always end up buying something I don't need whenever I come in here. I've bought three body pillows from here and I don't see any signs of slowing down anytime soon HA! Now if you compare this store to the location in Utica you might be a little disappointed as It's not as flashy, nor is it as well kept. In the back of the store they have quite a few aisles that are just bare, and I can't tell if just slow business or just major renovations. Either way, not the best look. The good news is that there are plenty of great furniture and décor to choose from, and often-ample deals you'll spot while browsing. Since Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are all right around the corner, they've already put out a ton of decorations and items all around the store. Of course, they have their usual furniture, wall décor, rugs, kitchen supplies, bedding, etc... As most home décor, stores have. This go around I picked up a few fake plant pieces, a few towels, a new shower curtain, and a few candles. I think if you can really dedicate some time and you can really find some good stuff, but the store itself is really somewhat cluttered. They seem to be a little understaffed, but the employees have always been kind to me so I don't have any tragic customer service stories. I decided to check this location out after going to two other locations. This store is filled with all kinds of decor for homes. They even have some aisles specific to certain themes like farmhouse. I found a lot of cute decor items super cheap. They had a few big center sections filled with clearance items or final sale items as well. I saw a really cute decor piece but it did not fit well with the theme I wanted. Also, in some aisles they had mini clearance sections. I was able to find in a wax candle melt candle for $5. It was a super awesome deal. The only issue I did see with the store is that in the clearance item it looks like they just threw the items on top of each other all over the place. It was pretty messy and hectic. It was hard to get something under a pile of stuff. I saw a broken plate and alerted an employee. There was even a candle broken in half. I found it odd that there were a few broken things right in the front of the store. I suppose they just did not get a chance to look at that section yet. However, I think it would be a good idea to not stack a lot of fragile items on top of each other for safety. read more

LMAO. First time here. Not my typical retail hangout but I had to pick up a few items for thanksgiving. I asked 3 different women and not one NOT a single person knew where I could find the two ceramic serving items I was looking for. I showed the photos. I was directed to half the football length of the building to a corner w garden shit. I asked a third lady and she told me -- oh they must just be out of them--- thanksgiving serving shit two weeks before thanksgiving. I decide to search myself and walked around one isle and found two of the items lmao. Than at checkout I asked the lady if she was sure that was enough -- sheet of paper-- to wrap the ceramic items. DoorDash give you the are to find it, asked an employee she said there wasn't any. Found another worker she said it was numbers. Annette helped me find what I was looking for and showed me where to find the number. Hats go off to her thank you so much, you need a raise and a promotion! Compared to ikea, At Home has more selection for living room and outdoor decor. I like that they have plenty of mirrors, carpets, coffee tables, patio umbrellas and seasonal items to choose from. Expect poor customer assistance since there are limited number of employees to assist you in such a large scale home store. I don't mind moving around the store and find things myself. Prices are reasonable. Clearance can be marked 50-75% off. Located in a corner near the checkout counter. read more

I am very familiar with the At Home on Hall Road, so my expectations for this At Home were high. I came here on a weekday after Christmas around 10a-11a. The location is tucked in the back, but is fine to get too. Hardly any customers were inside, but a ton of workers. It looked like staff was getting rid of holiday decorations and already putting up spring decorations. The workers on the floor weren't really friendly and didn't ask if I needed help. They instead looked in the zone with putting up spring/Easter decorations. The store itself is huge and seems to have everything the Hall Road store has. The big difference was the Hall Road store has cute displays around the store showing what you could do with their décor. This store had nothing like that and instead just aisles and aisles of merchandise. A lot to choose from though, even so much as about 4-6 aisles of just throw pillows - of ANY color you want. This store also seemed to have more furniture like sofas and chairs than the Hall Road location. This store is also conveniently tucked in the same plaza as Home Goods and Tuesday Morning - home décor heaven. The only down side to this At Home is the staff could be more helpful and friendly - plus adding displays around the store to get people to buy more of the decor from At Home. read more

Y'all I went here this weekend desperate for some DIFFERENT Christmas decorations and At Home came to the rescue! I can't even say how happy it made to see row after row of different color-divided decorations. I freaking love this place. Then I spent like an extra hour looking at all the other stuff. Horrible. Placed a curbside pick up. They couldn't fill the order. They don't answer the phone. I couldn't cancel the order online because their website couldn't process it. Called their corporate number and you can't get through to anyone. So, I am ripped off $35 and now I have to call my credit card to fight the charge. I spent close to $800 today at The At Home Bloomfield store. I bought a stool which was broken and I didn't notice until after I was outside after my purchase. I went back in and tried to tell the same cashier I need to exchange the chair and she was going to allow me until the most rudest manager, Tony told me I had to do a formal exchange. I asked for his help and he huffed and puffed and raised down the aisles with a cart, hitting another customers cart because for some reason he felt inconvenienced. I had to wait a half hour back in line to just to have another cashier tell me that I didn't have to wait in line! When I complained to the manager Karen she simply said said they were busy and I barely got an apologize out of her. Tony - nothing. Stood there like a mute and didn't apologize. A wide variety of cheaply made home decor products for cheap prices. The shelves are often messy, but I've found candles, vases, and holiday decorations here that I'm happy with. What is this? I don't get it. They have vases. A row (or 4) of vases. Baskets. Pillows... If you want to nick nack your life, head here because they have it. Overpriced silk plants? Check. Kitchen doo-dads that are not needed? A whole aisle. Rows of upholstered chairs? YUUUUPPP! The reviews made me feel like I was walking into an (upscale) Ikea. But there were no rooms set up. I couldn't figure out how to apply the baskets and vases... there was just rows of them. I didn't find one thing to buy. Didn't see one person to help (if I needed it...). At Home does offer a wide selection but their in store customer service is lacking. The employees are always so busy shuffling stock they act as if a simple question is a huge inconvenience. Additionally, according to outgoing phone message they are "unable to research stock availability" which I think means they don't want to be bothered. Sonja at the registers at this store was incredibly rude to me. A friend and I were checking out and signed up for the email list to save 10%. After you sign up it says you'll get the coupon by email within 24 hours and it hadn't come thru yet. We asked the cashier and she said, "it says it everywhere that it takes 24 hours" in a very condescending tone. She told us we could come back and return everything and rebuy it with the coupon, but they don't do price adjustments. I commiserated in asking what the managers name was at the store and she said, "Karen, but we don't have anything to do with that you have to call corporate" (I'll be calling both for sure). She asked me my phone number and it found me in the system. So I asked, if you can see I'm in the system, then why do we need to come back and go through this process to get the 10% off? And she said "because you ain't got the coupon." I went on to try to again to commiserate and say, "it sucks for you guys to have to explain that to people who took the time to sign up and are now stuck getting your emails without the discount advertised." That set her off... she went into a tirade. I told her I just wanted to finish the transaction and leave and she wouldn't let up. She yelled at me in front of other customers and I had to explain to her that she shouldn't be acting this way and that I'd be calling corporate. She then yells to one of her coworkers who was not involved to ask him if she was being rude to me..... if she had to ask, she surely was. I went to leave and warned the other guests in line that she was in a bad mood and she yelled back at me, "bye sir! Bye sir! In a nasty tone, laughing." She needs to not work with the public and the coupon should be afforded to customers when the sign up, not after days later. read more

I have gone into this store several times and loved seeing all the options of home decor. Although they have some cool stuff, everything is over priced. I found the same exact painting I had just bought at big lots for double the price! Customer service is HORRIBLE!!!!! Always a super long line to check out. Never friendly. I was looking at some paintings and the person that was in the aisle next to me tried to ask an employee walking by a question and she yells "your going to have to wait guy!" And walks away. After witnessing that I decided to leave and not purchase anything. I don't care how busy you are you should NEVER talk to someone like that. read more

Great place to browse and find ideas. Has tons of selection...which can be a bit overwhelming. There is very little merchandising in the store, just shelves stocked warehouse style. Customers seem to make a mess in this store, pulling large items off the shelves and leaving them blocking the aisles and there seem to be no employees to clean things up. I was totally annoyed when shopping for Christmas items on a Friday, there was an army of employees stocking the shelves and we were clearly in the way. This was 11am on a busy Christmas shopping day---you couldn't shop ornaments because they had aisles blocked with stock, and we had other employees in such a hurry to move stock that we were bumped twice by the same manager and employees. Why not stock prior to store hours? I had the same issue with returns as other posters mention--I returned two items, they wanted to scan my card to "make refund back to the card" and I was charged for the items a second time. Didn't realize until I got home--paid for the items twice and didn't have the items to get credited back. Fortunately, they did make it right....too bad it was an hour and a half drive back there to do so. read more

There is an employee by the name of Grace, who is outstanding! apparently she does some of the displays at store. Ms. Grace went above and beyond talking/helping us and even tore down one of her displays to make our home as nice as she makes the store look. I had $40 in reward coupons that I did not get to use because they expired a month into the Covid lockdown and the store was closed. At Home would not honor them and told me to call Synchrony bank to reissue them. I did this over a month ago and still no rewards. This should not be so difficult for them to figure out and I feel it is shady and a way for them to not honor their rewards. I will stick to Home Goods from now on. read more

I returned a rug here that I had purchased at the Wixom store the week before. Took my receipt and left, did not enter the selling floor, just went directly to a cashier and returned the rug. Ouch! I noticed weeks later that the cashier had rung me up for a PURCHASE that equaled the price of the rug and I had not noticed. So now I have paid for the rug twice, however do not have the rug as it was returned. Stay tuned for the rest of the story as I have to go to the store and explain what the cashier did, with my receipts and credit card statement. Very suspicious. ALSO, many months earlier I had returned some items totaling about $250.00 and received a gift card to use later. I then used a portion of it several months later, not much, still had about $150 or more on the gift card yet the cashier said it was blank when I went to use it up!!! I never, ever keep empty gift cards that have zeroed out, I hand to the cashier for recycling and leave. So now I am very very suspicious of this store's practices. Are the cashiers trained to do this? Be wary when shopping there. read more

A wide varieties of items to chose from. I have been on at lease four occasions. I was always able to get assistance, but I usually go early morning. They open at 9 on the weekends. I have been to this location several times and it's always a complete mess. I've been trying to find rugs for my home and they are just all over the place. On the ground and across the racks...people even walk on them and roll their carts over them. They are just everywhere. The prices also seem a bit high to me. read more

Horrible. Tons of stuff....if you can find it. Zero help, rude cashiers. Bought a few things, got home and had 3 items in my bag I didn't purchase. I assume someone got home missing said items. When I drove them back to return, girl just took them, didn't make a record of it or even put a note on them in case person who purchased them returned. Then to make matters worse my daughter bought a few items in the store in DC. Got home and found one item missing (although it was on her bill.) She called the store and they were rude and told her there was nothing they could do about it. I emailed corporate about these incidents. Never heard a word. When did the world become like this? I read the reviews on here and I think to myself jeez what a bunch of whiners.You got told "No" I'm going to complain. You was rude with an employee and they were rude back I'm going to complain. You had to wait in a line I'm going to complain These people who work in retail bust their humps to provide a great store and great values so cut them a break. You may think that you are the most important person in the world but that is only to you. They literally deal with thousands of people a week. When did it become ok to pull merchandise off of shelves and leave it on the floor? Put it back. You want to know why items get scratched and scuffed? Customers pull the items down and leave it on the floor and walk away and others run into it because they are too busy on their phones or just don't care. You got injured in the store because you used an employee's only ladder or climbed on a display or was climbing up the shelves, well suck it up its your own fault. Grow up people. Quit pulling the rugs on display and leaving them on the floor. If your excuse is that you wanted to see what it would look like on your floors I ask this question. Do you have gray concrete floors in your house and fluorescent lighting? Then how would you know what it would look like? Remember this is a store not a daycare for your kids. Don't let your children run around. It is a warehouse type store that has heavy items and merchandise that is constantly being moved to the sales floor the employee's are not there to watch your kids, you are. The employees are not there to shop for you. They will help you find an item if you ask and will give you a few ideas if the item doesn't work out for you but don't expect them to be your personal shopper. If you need help go up front and ask a cashier to call someone. It's what I have always done and I have always received help. Oh and for those misguided souls who think that this is a place they can shoplift from know this; Yes they do have a security team and they are some pretty big guys and gals who aren't afraid to catch you and parade you thru the store thoroughly embarrassing you in front of other customers before they hand you over to the police for prosecution. Come on people. Have a little common sense and decency and cut these people a break. Pick up after yourselves, watch your own kids, be courteous, learn to accept no for an answer and above all else remember this; The employees get paid to be there but you choose to shop there. I love this store and the many different options of home decor, bedding, bath and more! However it would be much nicer and easier if when they mark certain items down that they put a clearance section together. For example every time I try to find a throw pillow on sale or a certain color and size everything is all mixed up! If I want to purchase 4-6 throw pillows for my furniture you can only find 1-2 if you're lucky! They only organize it by color. But there is sooo many that it's hard to find what your looking for. Just a bit more organizing would really make all the difference I feel for shoppers! Please help! I would love to return if I didn't have to go through digging every time I need something. Same with the clock aisle. There's way to many stacked one in front of the other that you can't see what they look like or how much??
