Trying to keep it short- First off, I'll just say for being a phone company it's TERRIBLE trying to get a hold of anyone, either at the local Rib Mtn store (22+ minutes of constant ringing, then got hung up on) then I called back (rang for 10+ minutes then I hung up and headed to the store) only to find 3 employees sitting at their tables all on a device with NOT a single customer in there, or calling the 800 number it's impossible to get through. The stupid automated line doesn't understand what you're calling for and it's very frustrating trying to maneuver through it when you just have a question, but isn't any of the options. For another, with issues regarding billing, discrepancies, collections whatever the issue, everyone just passes the buck to the next person and then to another, and then another- just constant transferring to other departments. When you finally get someone, they are very hard to understand! After 2 hours on the phone (at home) and then 2 hours (at the store) either with an employee, I on phone with Customer Care, then with the manager, and still no result. Again, was sent in circles to call this 800 number, then transferred to billing etc. etc. etc. It seems impossible to get out of their service if you are unhappy with it or have terrible reception as we did. Kept losing calls, crackly lines, even when I called the 800 numbers it was crackly. OR they'll send you to collections, even when you were told by the manager, due to our situation we didn't have to pay that bill. That was a joke! Good luck getting where you need to. From our short experience there, I would not recommend them unless they change their process of answering phones, and handling customer service, on all levels. read more

We purchased 2 phones at the Wausau AT&T store in Wausau, as well as, accessories and dealt with Blake. It was such a positive experience. He explained everything so well and gave us advice if we asked. All the employees in the store were also very nice. Best experience we have had at an AT&T store. We will definitely make the longer trip again for all our phone needs. read more

Purchased a phone and 4 accessories almost 2 months ago. Glass screen protector got cracked/scratched badly (three days after I purchased) and I went to store to get it replaced as it states on the ATT website as the first option. Went in on a Tuesday to request a replacement and the associate working there named Peter (acted like he was mad at me for asking, very short with me) told me they don't do that in the store and I would have to go online to get it replaced. I said according to what is stated on the website my first option was to go to the local ATT store. He said that was not true and I needed to get the replacement on line. I Wish they would have told me that when I purchased it two days earlier. I would have gone to Best Buy or Walmart because they do replace instore and when you walk in. So I left the store went home and went on the web site and ZAGG (ATT screen protector warranty company) tells me they are out of stock and would contact me as soon as they were back in stock. That was 7 weeks ago now and still nothing is replaced. Anyway after a week or so I went back in hoping Peter was not working that day (he was) and the first person to come open to serve customers and I explained that ZAGG was out of stock. He (Peter) said that I would have to wait till they were back in stock. Said they had one in store but would cost me $48 to have it put on. I said I know I have a lifetime warranty and it should not cost me anything. He was extremely rude and walked away after I told him "that is bullshit" (sorry but he was so rude I lost it) and according to the website I should go into my local ATT store. Anyway that is over 7 weeks ago and ZAGG still has not contacted me saying they were back instock. However I could order a new one from ZAGG and they would ship it same day. So they do have stock when you want to purchase a new one but they don't have stock when yours should be replace under the lifetime warranty I paid for! So long story--- is do not purchase any accessory at the Wausau Store in Rib Mountain and avoid the guy named PETER at all costs, and the store manager Levine never is available to talk on the phone, no one answers when I call (over 5 different days). Still have a broken screen protector and I have been a ATT customer since 1991 and in all those years this is the worst customer service I have ever had at that store or any business. Extremely disappointed in the in store employee (Peter) and it is just bad business to sell you something and then not stand behind that product or pass it off to another company (ZAGG) who doesn't care about you at all!!! Absolutely horrible customer service. The blonde, older employee working on 10-28-23 has the worst communication skills. From yelling across the room to another employee while seated at a table, to having the absolute worst attitude with customers when they ask for assistance. The store manager, Austin, did little to de-escalate the situation. I specifically told the employee I did not want to communicate with her further. She continued to distastefully lean over a phone display while pointing a finger and yelling at me simply since I refused to partake in a transaction with her after her crass and aggressive communication. Austin did not reprimand the horrid behavior and only apologized after he had assisted me. This type of behavior from an employee in a guest service position is unacceptable. She should be written up at the very least. In the 15 minutes, it's evident that she seems to walk all over the management, customers, and fellow co workers. I have been an AT&T customer for over 20 years and this is the absolute worst customer service I have received at a location across the US. read more

Waiting for a hour to cancel one phone plan after paying 274 dollars for a phone thats paid off for the past 2 years

We had a tremendous experience at this AT&T store. We spent over an hour speaking with the manager, Sean. He accommodated every question, large or small. He spent time patiently explaining the finer points of our bill. The rest of the store was busy and all the customers seemed happy with their service. read more

I HATE AT&T's wireless service, customer service and data service. I moved back home from Madison several years ago where I had initially signed-up for AT&T's service to get the first-generation iPhone. I did so at the Apple Store where I received great customer service. The phone worked well in Madison, so I renewed my contract prior to moving north again. When I left Madison, I had no 3G service until I approached Wausau (about 15-miles south). I lose calls daily, and there are dozens, upon dozens of dead-spots throughout the area in which I live. While AT&T's service has improved in the Wausau metro area slightly, it remains terrible everywhere else. When my contract was up for renewal again I visited the local AT&T retail store to voice my concerns. I went in with an open mind as I recognized that my service had improved slightly over the previous 10-months. I was told that AT&T was planning a massive expansion/upgrade of the cellular phone and data towers in the area within the next 12-18 months. I was assured that service would be dramatically improved. Finally, I was told that I could cancel my contract if I was unsatisfied with the quality of service moving forward. These were all lies. There was no massive expansion/upgrade, service did not improve, and I was not able to cancel my contract. Now, all that I'm waiting for the is iPhone 5 and jumping ship and going with Sprint as my friends and family who have Sprint love their service and coverage. Beware of AT&T if you don't live in an major metro area. read more

The sales rep I worked with at the store was great. I am just completely disgusted with AT&T as a company and with their customer service representatives when you call in. When I call with a problem I expect help fixing that issue, but once again was told there is nothing they can do and dismissed all of my concerns and complaints. They do not feel they need to be held responsible for THEIR mistakes nor do they take ownership and try to correct them. I have been with the company for over a year, love my phone and all of that, but due to the HORRIBLE customer service, I am looking into switching providers. I'd start helping your customers with their problems instead of saying there is nothing you can do. Care about our issues with your company. This is the WORST company I have ever worked with in regards to the customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere if my concerns are not going to be addressed. read more

I called the ATT # for rib mountain Wi. I continued to redial for 15 min then I finally got a recording "please Waite " over and over and over for another 5 min, then a recording followed stating. "sorry your called could not be connected". The web page at this time said they would close in 18 min. The store was not yet closed. This would be a good place to start a real cell phone service.... AT&T cust service by phone really sucks. Maybe they should get a frontier land line. And cut out all the positive adds you have to listen to before they drop the phone call. Att has the worst customer service. I called to get my account in my name. I waited 15 mins on the phone to finally talk to a representative. I gave her all my information. My social security number, drivers license etc. just for her to tell me she can't tell me if the account can be put in my name and I need to go to the att store to find out if I can. Complete waste of time. The only reason I want to switch it over is to get a discount from my employer which the account has to be on my name not my partners. Ridiculous. I would change services if I didn't just upgrade my phone and have a contract. I will tell anyone who asks if I like att to not use them. read more

VERY VERY dissatisfied with the service I have just received from this particular store.. one of the main serviceman's ( a larger fellow without much hair) was supposed to be helping me when I walked in asking for a simple reset on my phone as the charging was not working... instead of attempting to help me in ANY sort of way he simply told me to drive 4 hours to the nearest Apple store and get help there. Not to mention how he shyly said after, "btw you're probably going to have a 3 hour wait once you get there too" I couldn't be more pissed. Luckily almost right after I left a friend of mine was able to figure out the reset herself. I would give this man the benefit of the doubt and assume he was not intellectually able to figure out this simple task.. yet considering how it looked that he had worked there for awhile, I'm going to assume he was just being rude. Over promised, under delivered. No overages is a lie, they slow your Internet speeds down to where it is useless. Very disappointed.
