My sister and I have recently made a transition from Verizon to AT&T for our cellular phones. However, the transition has been absolutely awful. My sister and I bought our phones from the AT&T inside of Costco. The sales person pressured us into buying phones that we were not interested in and when the phones came in, we reached out to this AT&T and asked them if we could do an exchange. The individual that my sister spoke to said yes, we could exchange the phones at this location and it would be no problem. We get to the store on Thursday and ask to do the exchange; initially this was fine. However, eventually, we just start standing there waiting for 30 minutes. No one is telling us anything. The process of the exchange became more complicated than either party planned. We were asked what our passcode was; however, we did not have a passcode because no one gave us a passcode at, the AT&T in Costco. Our sales rep said this is normal for the AT&T reps inside of Costco not to do their jobs correctly. We were at AT&T for over two hours and unfortunately the issue was not resolved. The store manager, Ashley told us we should come back in two days and then we should be able to exchange both of the phones; however, one of the new phones was opened and she was magically able complete the exchange by crashing the cart, but for whatever reason she couldn't do the same thing for the other phone. Which at the time was fine by me, so we went home and came back two days later. However, again we could not get the phone exchanged but were able to update the passcode. This manager on Sunday that they would need to bypass the pin for the other phone but the people who could that don't work the weekends and wouldn't be back until Tuesday because of the holiday. Again, disappointed but okay will role with it. My sister called the store on Tuesday to ensure that it would be a simple transaction on the Wednesday, as we work opposing hours. And she was met with some serious hostility from the manager Ashley. Ashley told her we should've just went to Costco to have the issue resolved however no one told us on the Thursday, the first visit or on the Sunday, the second visit to go to Costco to do the exchange. My sister went back-and-forth with the manager Ashley and spoke to customer service about the exchange issue. Customer service told her that she should have no problem, making the exchange at the store today, Wednesday; however, when I came into the store today to make this so-called easy exchange the manager, Ashley began to argue with me in the middle of the store. She put the blame on the customer which I do not understand because we did not know about a passcode and didn't know that they had created one. She said should that we should have went back to Costco, because they weren't responsible for the sale. I told her that I was not here to argue and I just wanted to make the exchange and that customer service said the exchange should go through seamlessly today. She continued to argue with me and said I'm not trying to argue with you nor am I trying to give you the runaround. Clearly she was because I had to tell her more than three times. I am not here to argue with you. I just wanted to do the exchange. She then said we can do the exchange, but I have no additional reps here to help you, and if it doesn't work you have to go back to Costco. So I had to wait for a sales representative to assist me, however she had to do the majority of the work for the exchange. So why I had to wait there for 10 to 15 minutes made no sense (she was just playing with her phone). And again there were more issues with the transaction and this had nothing to do with what Costco did. This issue occurred at their store. There were no apologies for these issues and she wanted to continue to have an attitude, but when I gave attitude back, then it was a problem. She was rude to the other customers and may need to look for additional employment , Ashley, store manager, lacks professionalism and people skills. I also mentioned that I would be speaking to customer service to Ashley and she didn't seem to care. Hopefully this review will help her to start caring or have her start looking into a new career. read more
