History
Established in 1984.
The Discount Battery founder recognized a need for an honest place to go to in order to diagnose automotive battery issues. In many cases, the battery of the car is not the issue. Yet, many big name stores were selling his friends batteries when they did not need one. He felt that he could create a business that would provide fast, friendly and above all else, HONEST, service. Discount Battery was established in Michigan in 1984 and has been proudly serving the community ever since. Discount Battery is the foremost battery specialist in southeastern Michigan and we are eager to earn your business. Come in and experience our knowledgable, friendly staff.
Meet the Business Owner: Steve C.
Discount Battery was founded in 1984. The Dixie Highway store was the first store founded and was followed by the founding of the Union Lake Road store in 1992. Discount Battery is led by its founder and current president, Steve C. His passion for honest, friendly service has driven him to own two successful retail car battery stores. Steve is a constant student to the battery world. He has extensive knowledge of how batteries are made, how to maintain batteries, and the battery industry. This knowledge has led him to explore the use of batteries in alternative energies (his windmill at the commerce store powers the majority of the store). But above all, his dedication to the battery industry is reflected in the satisfaction of his customers. Discount Battery has battery solutions for all vehicles, income levels, and vehicle situations. There is not a store in southeastern Michigan where you will find rivaled honesty, friendliness, or great prices and warranties.
