I was pleasantly surprised when I went in this morning for a suspected failing battery. The tech did an inspection, verified the issue, and discussed battery options. Shortly after I was back on the road with a new battery. The technician was very professional and friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better way to have a service encounter take place. I have been going to the Waterford store for 20 years and on average, purchase one to three batteries per year (cars, truck, motor-home, two lawn tractors, motorcycles, boats, etc.), as I'm a bit of a motor-head who likes his toys. The team there has always been knowledgeable, professional and have treated me with the respect a loyal customer deserves. That all changed a little less than a year ago. I called to check availability of a tractor battery and then headed 20 miles one way across town to pick it up. When I arrived I was greeted by this kid with tattoos all over his arms, some kind of ridiculous piercings in his face and an attitude that was as ugly as the irreversible damage he had done to his body. He said the battery had been sold. I just responded with a long sigh, lamenting that I had just raced across town and asked when he would have another and if he could put me on a will call list for when it arrives. He said he didn't know when they would receive more and that they don't call customers who are waiting for inventory to arrive. When I told him that they have always called if I ordered a battery, he reluctantly grabbed a sticky note pad from where there were about five will call stickies on the counter and took my number down while not making eye contact, or looking at the note pad, but instead staring off in the distance, like I was such an inconvenience. Typical millennial. Well I guess the founder has finally turned the business over to the next generation who managed to destroy a business relationship of 20 years in 5 minutes. These guys were awesome. Needed a battery for my motorcycle. For some reason it was a special custom battery. Couldn't find it anywhere. They were the only ones that could even order it. They came up with a better solution for what I needed than I even had before. It's difficult to even get back into the bike and they provided a solution for that too. I have a f250 superduty diesel and had to jump the truck after 2 weeks of setting . I first took it to a large chain auto parts store and they told me I needed to batteries . 350 including paying for he core without reimbursing me for mine . I called a mechanic and was referred to this store. They told me it was impossible to test 2 batteries without disconnecting one. Discovered one battery was fine and the other need replacing . Total bill 120-140 ish for a high quality 850 cold cranking , American made truck battery. Very happy with the service and would highly recommend them. read more

With all the cars and new sizes battery's of cars,vans, trucks motorcycles sump pumps who what size is needed is more then anybody guess. It's seem as if the battery company are constantly changing the name, models and sizes and everything else. So as I searched for replacement battery for my basement's sump pump. I went online looking for a replacement for my home sump pump system. Discount Battery was the only place that talked to that knew anything about what I needed for my battery replacement. The staff was very well informed and helpful. The location was a little bit away but I what'd to buy from them and support there company due to the great help I received for there staff.
