I have been here so many times. The staff are knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. It is a hard job to deal with the public, many of whom are impatient, ignorant, and demanding. They deserve the credit due them. Good outcomes require patience and consistency. The selection of phones and gadgets are usually really good. The promotions are usually good enough to incentivize upgrades. Great value when you add the care you get here. read more

Went in with my elderly stepfather to get his phone repaired or replaced. We sat there for 20 minutes without anyone even acknowledging us. When we got one of the 3 employees to notice us, they asked if we'd been signed in. No, duh, we haven't even been spoken to. She didn't sign us in but went back to her other customer. But this isn't why we'll never use AT&T again. The DirectTV display on the big television? Playing Newsmax. So, lousy and rude customer service and management that thinks hateful propaganda in the business is a good idea. My guess is that the service problems are due to understaffing. That management is themselves so utterly clueless about retail that they'd put this crap on in the showroom is probably just as bad about keeping employees. Done with AT&T forever now. Got a great new phone and a better deal that day from Metro/T-Mobile store on North Broadway, whose staff was immediately available, friendly, and helpful. The worst customer service. Doesn't matter if you schedule an appt. or not. The sales associates are in no rush to help the next person. The lady sat and made small talk, talking about her ranch, looking at pictures on her phone while 5 others waited. The customer sat with her for at least 10 mins after his sale. While the 5 customers sit in here, they went from 4 sales associates to only 2. Seriously considering ditching at&t all together and going somewhere else so I don't have to deal with THIS store again. (Writing this while waiting). To add insult to injury. I was in earlier. The sales person told me to come back with the phones we are trading in, scheduled my appt. knowing which phones we wanted. Never been so angry in my life. Worst customer service EVER. We waited over 2 hours ( my 2 year old and husband) for the "manager" Abel to tell me he couldn't help me because it was closing time and he thought it was 8:30 not 9 (this was him even coming up to my family and I 15 minutes before, asking what we needed, and letting us know we would be helped soon). We just needed to inquire about an increase in our bill and to add our military discount. Ridiculous!!! . We will no longer keep our service with ATNT. read more

I am a platinum level customer of AT&T and have been a customer for over a decade. Last Saturday, I was happy to take advantage of an offer to upgrade my phone when my old phone died while I was on vacation. I was driving through Santa Maria and was happy to learn they had the phone I wanted in stock and offered to hold it for me. However, the following unwanted charges were added to services which I specifically rejected: $15 per month for device insurance, $5 per month for device upgrade offer after 15 months of payments. I made it clear to the salesperson several times that I did not want any extra charges but they were added to my bill anyway. I have called both AT&Ts national support number and the local store in Santa Maria and they have still not removed all extra charges. read more

I came to this store to upgrade my phone. The atmosphere of the store was awkward and tense, and there really weren't any customers. The store associate that helped me tried really hard to upsell me on services and products that I wasn't interested in, I just wanted to get a new phone and wasn't interested in all of the extra stuff. I ended up with a iPhone 13 pro max and love it. I did buy a case which is mandatory for any phone especially iPhones. I also overheard another associate trying to upsell products to another customers and she kept being very insistent. I'm glad I got a new phone but probably won't return to this location again read more

The most horrible phone company I have ever come across if I could give NEGATIVE 5 stars I would. I came here and they opened two accounts one unauthorized managed to mess up completely everything from porting to not even being able to set up service. All they care about is the sale everything else they don't care about what so ever. The employees need sooooo much training they are god awful at there job who ever manages there doin an awful job. They need there position reevaluated. This by far as been the worst experience I ever had at phone company not only is atnt shit there Santa Maria store is even more shit. Highly recommend this location. Got a new iPhone from the Apple Store and took it in here to get my new phone switched over to my phone plan. Kobe was urgent on helping me do this even though the phone I purchased was not from them- which I greatly appreciated. I have not gotten a new phone in a little over 5 years so I was not sure what the process looked like any longer. Kobe made it seamless, and made sure I went home with my accessories that I needed. I bought a privacy screen and he slapped it right on for me- which is SO nice not having to do it yourself. My experience was so good here that my wife and I came back in here the same afternoon for additional help. This time Bella helped us out and she did an amazing job as well. Both her and Kobe were kind, courteous, and eager to help. My wife was previously a customer of T-mobile, but after such a good experience here, we are transferring her over to a plan at AT&T and the good customer service is the main reason for that! I've gone in twice, waited twenty minutes and then a full half-hour to speak with a representative, only to be told they were out of phones. After the second visit I suggested they put a sign in the window saying that they were currently out of the new models. The rep laughed like I was telling a joke but I was serious. At the very least the greeter who puts you on the list when you arrive should let customers know if they're wasting your time by waiting. read more

We were told the manager who was also in the back, couldn't help people because, "he had other things to do". I understand people need breaks but when there are people waiting they should be helped. I went to get a new phone last year. Did a trade in, the rep I wanted to buy my phone and he said i had to finance for at least 6 months so I could finance $1/month for 30 months but pay it off after 6. I did that and ATT hit me with "your trade in credits stopped when you paid it off". Do yourself a favor and avoid a company that gives no incentive to stay. I've been with ATT for 20 years, since they use to be Cingular, and they won't even help me. Avoid this store, second time I get misinformation here that has cost me $. read more

This is the only corporate store around for miles. In my last visit only wo customer service people helping out custoemers and the rest of the representatives are hiding inside the office. I came to the store needing help setting up my new phone and no one showed up to put my name on the waiting list until I went and interrupted one of the workers asked him to add my name to the waiting list. Finally someone approached me and I told him what I need then he acknowledged that and he went and helped another customer who came after me who even wasn't on the waiting list. Veronica helped my wife and I today, we were there quite a while but Veronica worked hard to get us a good deal, get the phone my wife wanted with all the gizmos. They did not have all she wanted and Veronica said I am still swapping all your info from your old phone here is the info you need to go down to Best Buy maybe they have the cover you want. If I could list zero stars I would. I went in to check out upgrades for my phone. I explained to the sales lady several times that I was on a grandfathered plan and didn't want to upgrade my phone if it meant changing my plan. They were out of the phone I wanted . The sales lady suggested that I get an older phone that they had in stock. She told me the phone was 50% off and I could keep my old plan. She told me the phone would be $14.00 a month on top of my existing plan. I don't like having any long term debt so a few days after I bought the phone I went online to pay off the balance. I noticed the monthly charge was $24.00 ( not a big deal because I was going to pay the phone off) however the phone wasn't 50% off. The ability to upgrade the phone kicks in when 50% of the phone is paid off. I called customer service and they informed me that she changed my plan and added a few charges to the plan I told her I wasn't interested in. I will be returning my phone and changing phone providers. I have been a customer for over 15 years. I don't appreciate the con job the sales lady pulled. If you see someone in front of the AT&T store picketing, you will know who left this review. read more

Was at this store this morning 11/8/2017 at 10:30 to get pictures transferred from my old phone to my new phone,waited 45 minutes and no help from anyone except the person stand in the lobby to "check"you in whatever that is supposed to do. About 30 mins. into my wait the same girl comes over and attempts to transfer my photos,could not do it and tells me "someone will be with you shortly" BULL SHIT!! After another 25 min wait I get up and walk out,right past the same girl that checked me in and she didn't say a word like sorry for the wait or let me get someone to assist you... NOT A WORD. Crappy service,someone needs to address the customer service in this store. I think when I get ready I'll be going to Verizon if this is how AT&T treats its customers read more
