Recently had an amazing experience here after a horrible one at Verizon. I was helped by Masen, he's the best! I came in with the worst case scenario as far as IPhones go. No photo ID, no access to the cloud and a completely obliterated phone. He was patient and extremely helpful. Walked us through all of the options, a big selection at a great price. Visit date: 12/08/24 Recently went into this AT&T store for much needed upgrade, and was helped Deayra C. I can confidently say he is one of the best representatives I've encountered. Upgrading a device and navigating multiple purchases is usually a stressful and time-consuming experience, but Deayra made it seamless, efficient, and even enjoyable. He took the time to thoroughly explain the specifications of the phone I was purchasing and compared them to other devices I hadn't originally considered. His clear communication, deep knowledge of the products, and patient approach ensured I fully understood my options. He even jerked around, simply made it easy to talk to. Thanks to his guidance, I was able to make a smart financial decision without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. What stood out most was his ability to balance assisting us, while helping other associates with their customers. I'm not sure if this is the AT&T store over by Academy in San Marcos or not but their service I received there was horrible absolutely horrible and then I was totally and totally lied to by the salesperson I wanted to pay cash for everything I did not want anything on my bill nothing well I get home next thing I know I have a $35 charge on my bill now I can't get ahold of anyone to store. They could not transfer my data from my old phone to my new phone then when I told him I'll just keep the new phone and want to charge me $55 for a restocking fee I'm going to change from AT&T as soon as I can at one time they were the best now they are the worst read more

Recently added another phone to our family plan thru the 1-800 number but was told I needed to pick up a new SIM card at an ATT store. Bengy at this store took care if it and even voided the $5 fee. Great customer service! read more

Purchased a phone from Ben in this store and was informed of restocking fees BEFORE !! and then assessed that $55 RESTOCKING FEE ! WHILE STILL IN THE STORE WITH WHAT WAS NOW AN OPENED BOX, he informed me that I was NOT going to get the phone for the same price that was offered to me on an AT&T purchased PHONE ( I might add) by an AT&T Loyalty Program, which is apparently a completely separate entity within AT&T Customer Service realm BUT IS NOT encumbered by AT&T policies and procedures set forth for AT&T actual storefronts. SO PLEASE BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THE AT&T STORE ON BARNES DRIVE IN SAN MARCOS,TX. I did plea my case to the store manager Oscar the next day and and was partially refunded applicable sales tax less the $55 RESTOCKING FEE, he did offer to make note on my account of the possibility of a refund and to check back with him after talking to AGAIN CUSTOMER SERVICE, because he didn't have the authority to process a $55 RESTOCKING FEE credit to my debit card, after that long drawn out phone call in which AT&T Customer Service did inform me that the store manager DID HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ISSUE THIS $55 RESTOCKING FEE but refused, my next step to try and get justice is going up the ladder of lies and deception to await for an area manager phone call back.... This store is awful. I called for some help, they don't know anything...didn't help at all. Employee was condescending so I spoke to her the same way and she hung up. I called and spoke to the manager and he literally did nothing. Poor customer Service, awful management. Save yourself the trouble and go to Best Buy across the highway. read more

I had the BEST experience here recently! I walked up and someone held the door open for me like I was some sort of phoneless queen. Then Ben helped me immediately with my water damaged phone. He got me a new SIM card, checked to ensure I had insurance, found a better plan for me that saves me $15/month, and alerted me to a teacher discount. Wow! Plus I had my new phone within 12 hours of my visit! Way to go AT&T! read more

Ben from the San Marcos, Barnes Drive store is the man!!! I was on the phone with AT & T for 2 1/2 hours last night and my issue was not resolved. They were supposed to call me back today. No call. These people give the worst customer service. I've only been in twice. The first time I waited around the store for about 10 minutes (with several other groups of people also looking confused) while associates were walking around the store, very clearly avoiding eye contact with anyone waiting, before having to interrupt an associate working with a customer to put my name on the list to be seen. The second time I went in I was actually greeted at the door. The man asked me what I needed and to move forward I needed to make a phone call. So I use the phone and when I got off he was talking with two other people. Assuming they were customers I sat at a table and waited for him to finish up. While waiting another associate came and sat at the same table I was sitting at, fidgeted with his iPad and two phones for a few minutes, neglected to say a word to me, then walked away. At this point the man I had originally been approached by had walked away and was on the phone, and when a new customer walked in the door, one of the people he had been talking to greeted them and immediately offered her service! So the people he was talking to when I got off the phone that I assumed were customers were actually employees as well. By the time someone finally approached me again I was so frustrated with my situation and the terrible service I was starting to get emotional. I will not be coming back to this location, and I strongly suggest everyone avoid it as well. Wish I could give 0 stars. read more
