When asked for help, the folks at this store told me that Customer Service would hang up if they called. They will lie to your face and rush you out the door instead of being helpful. Really solidifies the reality that AT&T is the worst cell carrier with the worst customer service. If you buy a phone from AT&T, be prepared for mobile data to only work about half the time. You will get far less speed than you pay for. I get a whopping 2mbps when I pay for 12-474 (depending on the network, eg. LTE, 5G, 5G+). When you call customer service, be ready for a hours long ordeal, being transferred umpteen times, never getting a straight answer, and basically giving yourself a stroke from the stress. After dealing 3 weeks with some error by the Credit team, I finally got the original approval and switched. NOW, a whole new ISSUE! I was told when I was switching from Verizon that my business ESIM for my work line would be able to be transferred along with the personal line, by the store rep. I tried transferring he ESIM after I received the shipped iPhone, after I activated my personal line, and it says that I cannot transfer it. I called customer care and now they are telling me I have to pay off all $1200 to "unlock" the phone to be able to have my business line ESIM transferred. I work a job that requires me to be on call and need both lines on the same phone, or I have to carry 2 PHONES. Ridiculous! The whole point of me switching was to be able to slowly pay off my new phone! Unlock my phone! I was told this would work by the store and now I am being told the opposite. BAIT and SWITCH scam! AT&T is in my top 3 WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE companies everrrr. My fiance and I have had their prepay plan for 6 months and they haven't gotten our bill/payment right yet. Not once. On average we have to call every 15 days to get something sorted out...either suddenly disconnected cell service because they (for the 3rd time) tried to pull from a dead account DESPITE my fiance making sure the correct info showed up on his account profile...or going into the Muncie store and having Tyree talk right over me to address Andy even though we were there for yet another issue with MY phone. I was so angry because this jerk ignored me TWICE... I left the store and sat in the car so I didn't get the cops called on me. This guy (in a hurry to get us out of the door since it was close to closing time) proceeded to alter our plan (against Andy's express directions on what they needed to do to make our service and bill right) and ended up messing up our bill for yet the 24th(?...who's counting...) time...while also ripping me off for 10gs of hotspot. This company sucks in cellular service, sucks in price and sucks an ENTIRE BODs when it comes to customer service... In fact, this company is so pointless, I'm not exactly sure how they are still in business...except for the poor (and I mean financially POOR) shlubs like us who can't afford new phones with a better provider. The minute we aren't trying to build a tiny home out of a "lemon" RV we bought for WAY too much money on Marketplace... We are running....not walking...to any other cell provider...ANY of them...even T-Mobile , which completely dies within Alex City limits...Any other company. This is a warning to anyone and everyone moving to the Ball State area especially new students! If you're going to live near the anywhere off of Jackson Street and are going to inquire about internet services, this is a warning to you to avoid them at all costs! As a person that has been a Google reviewer for a very long time now, I am here to warn you that this agency is the most worthless excuse of providers you will find in the entire area! They falsely advertised internet speeds that their equipment cannot provide! You will spend countless hours on the telephone waiting to try to find someone to address your issue, and leave you days in between tickets someone coming to your house, and when that technician gets there they were falsely say your issue is fixed and then close the ticket and leave your home, leaving you with only option of rescheduling a new appointment days later for someone to come out and do the same thing to you again! As of the moment I am writing this post this incident has occurred three times in the course of 5 days! Now they're telling me it will be Monday before they're back out to my house which is another three days away, to repair the issue that their employees keep falsely reporting is fixed and closing the repair tickets! This even violates AT&T policy but they don't care they won't fix it they'll make you wait and have to deal with it! As a new student for this area you will not want to add additional stress of trying to figure out how to get your internet service provider to work and come out and repair your problems timely and appropriately, while trying to figure out how to juggle your new schedule and study to be able to maintain good grades in your college career! Please save yourself the headache and go with another company and do not sign up for AT&T services in the Muncie Indiana area! I'm supposed to be receiving a hundred megabytes per second service, have provided proof to the technicians every time they've been here that it's still is not at a hundred megabytes per second service, even when hardwire to my gaming or computer system through an internet line! I've been doing busy with AT&T since 1997. I went to the store to BUY a new phone. The gentleman at the store asked what kind of phone I had--I said not loudly--this piece of shit. I was then reprimanded by the salesman for my language--well my language got much worse. I'm now at Best Buy being treated like the amazing customer I am. I've spent a lot of money with AT&T, but never again. BTW there were 6 people in the store and none of them were children. I was buying a phone, not going to church. Ugh read more

It's AT&T... It has all the problems of any big phone company. (or cellular carrier or whatever they're called now). However, I'd give the employees at this particular branch a top rating because they are professional, efficient, and as friendly as someone who works at a phone company can be. This store where I have been a customer is just the worst. Every time I've gone there I have been told erroneous information. The most recent visit was just to seek out any changes which might be good for our five device plan. Yes we were told if we switched plans to unlimited we would save $65. Then when our next bill came it was $67 more than what we had been paying. This wasn't the only time information we were given turned out to be false. All they wanted to do was sell us television service and even scheduled it without our knowledge. Now we are out money, time and had to spend over an hour with att national to get our old plan reinstated and still may be out the $67 we paid. read more

Worst customer experience I have ever had in any place of business ever. Employees are completely incompetent in their job duties, flat out lied to my face several times, and the "manager" has no customer relations skills. Period. They ported my phone numbers, then told me for the second time that they made a mistake, then the "manager" gave me a piece of paper with an account number on it even though I never signed anything in order to create an account and told me that I had to get their error resolved myself!! When I asked if that was how he was going to take care of me he responded with no remorse, "yes". I said "really? Your employee made the mistake and now I have to correct the problem and have no working numbers?" To which he again replied "yes". Never even an apology, an attempt to even try to resolve the issue, absolutely nothing except an "you figure it out" attitude. Never been treated so rudely in any business scenario. Over a year ago, I had a really bad experience with AT&T and am still not over the trauma. I really hate going into a major store and getting conned and ripped off by the employees. I got it that these companies are sales-driven, at least their employees are, but the customers end up the victims. I was really just plain lied to about a product I ended up purchasing. One I would not have purchased if I had been told the truth. Worse, there does not appear to be any kind of oversight within the company that prevents this type of thing. I'm trying to figure out what is the point of a "knowledgeable" salesperson, when their expertise really seems to be misleading the potential customer? Clearly, as customers, we have to enter these stores with more knowledge about the products we are interested in purchasing than the con-artist/salesperson. I think AT&T needs to improve their sales training with a focus on honesty. read more
