Wow, is what comes to mind when I think of the Boot Box. I came to the Boot Box, because I needed…read moresome work boots for my new jobs. And before I could even start to look for boot shops the name Boot Box was thrown at me. Everyone telling me the same thing. They are the best boot shop by far. And they were not wrong. Gary help me find the perfect shoe. I asked him lots of questions because I knew that he was the boot expert. I've always worn shoes that were budget friendly and somewhat okay. I didn't know anything about boots and just got what I thought felt okay. Not this time. Gary made me feel extremely comfortable when picking out the shoe, and making sure that they fit in the guidelines of what Job( Blue Buffalo) required. I think I tried on like 4 pairs. Some that fit and some that didn't and some that fit well. He told all the spots to check for when looking for comfort. I did tell him what i liked and didn't like in a work boot and problems I've had with the boots that I've had. He made sure that he gave and showed me the best shoe to eliminate all the problem areas and highlight the areas that I wanted.when I tried on my boots, he gave me a pair of thick socks to try on with them so that i get the full affect of how the boot is going to feel. I ended up leaving with a pair of slide in Doc Martins and some red darn tough socks. That have a wicking technology in them to allow your feet to not sweat. All I can say from here on out if I need boots or someone I know needs some boots the Boot Box with where I'll go and send everyone. The pricing is great, so you'll find something in your budget, and the customer service is out the door. Look no farther because the Boot Box should be the first and last stop when you are Boot shopping.

Shoe selection is decent but needs to address customer service with their staff. Never once did we…read morereceive any help while shopping. After finding what we wanted we went to the checkout to have the employee stand with her back to us for more than 4 minutes. We were right behind her and she could see our reflection in the glass. When another customer walked up she instantly turned and greeted them continuing to ignore us. She finally acknowledged us after helping the other customer and informed us we were supposed to have had someone on the floor get the other shoe for us and we would now have to wait for them to do that. She promptly went right back to ignoring us. Thankfully another employee heard this interaction and went for the other shoe and ended up checking us out because the girl working the counter was still standing with her back to us.

Now I'm in a small Indiana town and Dick's is about the only sporting goods store. Went in there today to look at at coolers - there were two whole display shelves of Igloo coolers without prices. I looked around at a few other items and the same - no prices. Apparently it's a "Dick's Thing" to put merchandise out without prices. And I'm not talking just a few things - entire displays, etc. Has anyone ever stopped to think about "customer experience?"

However, I've managed to get some great clearance deals with The Finish Line, but generally not with their competitors. Today was not one of those days. While they had a couple of sales on Brooks running shoes overall, it looked mostly as though they were trying to clear out the non-mainstream colour combinations. The same model shoe but in a muted or conservative colour scheme was full price. I'm sure they have to do more with Nike, Adidas, and Reebok because most stores will have those. Over the years, I've found that The Finish Line has shirts and other gear on good sales, but you have to keep up with their weekly sales and impromptu mark downs. Two of the staffers asked to help me and one stayed quite a while to discuss things. Surprisingly, there was no high pressure, although they asked repeatedly if I'd like to try something. They were both pleasant, thankfully, which isn't all that common in my experience.

As I have seen other hot topics will have more merchandise than this one. My service hasn't been horrible but it's not the best. One time me and my sister went there and they had two Digital Circus shirts there, and they were both in the last chance rack. The only thing they have here now are just squishes. Even those aren't that great, $10 for 1, and the quality isn't that great. I have the Pomni and Jax one, and the pomni already had stress marks on it, and Jax looks like a dead grape after you squeeze it once. I wish they could leave the Muncie Mall and open in one of these closed stores all over the place.
