Had a terrible experience dealing with this store. The management was unprofessional even though they sold me a new phone which failed to operate the moment I left the store. I asked for a replacement and was told I had to deal with Apple Even though the phone failed as soon as we stepped into the street. They also claimed I needed new phone numbers even though I brought 3 number over from Verizon. They did not port them over as they should have. Thankfully AT&T corrected the problem after many calls to them. I was told they were a retailer only and any problems should have been handled by the store. The store would not handle my problem and told me go to AT&T. Someone also told me this and a few other stores were owned by GameStop which I have yet to confirm. Buyer be ware this is not the place to deal with. AT&T has a company store near Smith haven Mall. No stars wish I could minus 10. read more

I wanted to pre-order a phone and came in to the store because the AT&T website was having issues. I was there on a weekday just after noon and expected to be there 30 minutes, BUT... the store's computer system was slow, and there were a few other glitches that I somehow always get to experience when something otherwise straightforward needs doing. So why the high rating? Service! Thomas the manager is attentive and thorough. He looked over the current billing, turned a $10/mo unused AT&T navigator charge into a free tablet that I WOULD use, and then was diligent enough to cross check a few things before wrapping up the transaction. He verified that my credit card charge, despite APPEARING to have gone through, actually had not. He made a phone call to a supervisor for advice, then apologetically explained we would have to repeat the process. This was much preferred to expecting a phone's arrival at the store the following week and being shocked to find that it had never actually been purchased!!! After the transaction was verified as complete, he explained the billing, asked me to come in after the phone had arrived to get assistance removing some other charges, and overall, seemed to be a truly competent person. No idea if he wants a career with AT&T but whoever he works for will benefit, and if he works for himself he'll make a good living. A+. read more

Courteous guy behind the counter answered all of my phone questions. This is how service should be.

I went into the store to upgrade my phone. The guy (first initial 'V') told me if I bought a screen protector for my new phone for $29 I would get a FREE iPad. I mustve sounded like an idiot repeatedly asking "FREE?? Why?!" He said it was free because they own Gamestop where theyre able to get deep discounts and ATT is taking an aggressive approach to reward their customers so the iPad would be FREE. When I was done with the upgrade of my new phone I asked him TWICE "so the NEW charges will only be $28 a month? The cost of the installment agreement for the new upgraded cell phone?" He assured me yes. Next day I get an email from ATT with the breakdown of my "new plan" When I opened it up it showed me the "IPAD" had its own phone number registered to it and the new number and iPad were under CONTRACT FOR TWO YEARS AT AN ADDITIONAL $10 A MONTH! So, $240 plus the cost of the screen protector = $270 for an iPad I didnt even need. NOT FREE!! I immediately called the store where the same guy (V) answered and he still tried to convince me "the iPad was going to piggyback data from my current existing phone plan." This makes zero sense! What does my current DATA plan have anything to do with the new phone line and two year contract you added to my account at an ADDITIONAL $10 a month?! He went back to his sales pitch about data. I later went back to the store and returned the iPad and phone protector. Meanwhile I am still working with ATT to get the iPAD contract off my bill. Mind you I have been with ATT since 1997 and this is the first time anyone has ever tried to scam me, I am SO disappointed and weary now to do any upgrades with ATT in the future. There was another ATT store that used to be down the block which had fantastic, honest customer service. What a lousy experience. Who does this to people?! I guess theyre hoping they'll get enough people who dont look at their bill in time and by the time they realize the additional charges (if they even look at their bill) it'll be too late.
