I received a "word salad" only. I went through with the upgrade anyway. Of course they did not have my desired phone in store, so it had to be ordered. Upon arrival a few days later, I was unable to completely transfer my old phone's information to the new phone, and despite my best efforts received a spiraling wheel of death as the phone waited to upload/sync or otherwise make itself ready for use. I made another trip to the store regarding the new, non working phone and my now disabled old phone issue. After another long wait for service and no less than three equally incompetent employee's, I asked to cancel the sale/contract and restore my old phone as it was. I was of course then advised that I needed to go home and retrieve the new phones original box. SO now three trips to this store. Upon my arrival with any and all items that came with the new phone, I was told I had to pay a $50+ "restocking charge" for the non working phone. If this experience is common for them, I do not see how they stay in business. They certainly will not get any more of mine.

This story is stunningly shady. Stay away from this store. Allen and the young manager WILL try to…read moreswindle you. Get this. My wife brought her phone in for an upgrade. We didn't want to pay too much more than our current bill at the time so she asked for the cheapest option. This guy, Allen told her that going with with the "promotional upgrade" of adding a line and trading in her phone for the 14 would be the best bet. We paid for the upgrade. Phones were taking a while to transfer data, so Allen told her to take it home and let it finish then bring it back the next day. We did that... to find out that her phone was suddenly not eligible for the promotional trade in deal... which we already paid for, so now our bill was going to be WAY more expensive. So we tried to return the new phone and start over. They wanted US to pay the $50 restocking fee...for their mistake. This is only the beginning of their shadiness. I ended up biting the bullet and paying the fee (thankfully the peeps at ATT customer service over the phone gave me a $50 credit for my next bill) and when I confronted them about their lame business tactics, this manager came out and said to my face "You're wife told us she was trading in an 11 but yall gave us a 7 to trade in. That's why it didn't work. I was out on the floor during the transaction." Here's the thing though... She was NOT out on the floor during the transaction. She was in the back. I informed her that I actually was on the floor with my wife when we told Allen it was a 7 AND showed him the phone. Allen had the phone IN HIS HAND and looked it over. Apparently he can't tell an old 7 from an 11. Also, the original paperwork showed that it was a 7 that we were trading in. Allen and the manager full on lied and worked up a story together to cover their mistake about "mishearing the words 'seven' and 'eleven'". Another worker who was new and actually trying to help was pulled into the back by Allen who was whispering to her about something and would not let her help me. I felt like I was in a movie. These people were comically shady. BUT WAIT! There's more! I called ATT to report them to find out that Allen also added an insurance charge to our phone that we didn't ask for and CHANGED OUR PLAN to a more expensive one without my consent. Luckily ATT customer service fixed everything and gave me a $500 credit toward a new phone. Moral of the story. If you are upgrading, do it online. DO NOT GO TO AT&T STORES. Especially this den of vipers in Youngsville. LA.
