I had my mother go to the Verizon store so that I could add her to my account, get the same plan that I have for my other phones, and get a new phone for herself... not only did the process take forever, the sales rep a.) had problems calling my number...or look up my number - I'm already a Verizon customer; b.) got the plan wrong; c.) added things that i didn't need/want/have on any other phone on my plan... I just wanna recommend everyone not to apply for Verizon wireless sales they'll interview you they'll tell you you have the job they'll send you multiple emails and the writers the date start coming around. They let you know that they found better candidates after you wasted all your time applying for the position and completing all the paperwork so I definitely don't recommend switching your phone line there and I recommend not applying there. The salesman were great, but the female security guard has absolutely no personal training. Every time I go in for service she's on the phone, talking disrespectful to whomever is on the phone or to customers. Is she security or a salesperson. I watched her disrespect a OPP officer and then walk outside scream, curse and holler at the boyfriend on the phone so bad that EVERYONE in the store stopped to look at her. Came back in the store and proceed to use profanity in front of my neighbor and her granddaughter. Totally unprofessional. Is this the type of behavior Verizon tolerates? They offer for you to make an appointment but don't even look at them or prioritize them and people who don't have appointments will be helped over you. Avoid Verizon at all costs. Their coverage in Lafayette is so bad that this store doesn't even have internet anymore. It has been getting worse every year. Roughly 20% of Lafayette now has no internet service from Verizon. read more

Let's start with the staff. They're terrific. Helpful, patient, and no hard sell ever. Corporate is another story. They took out the chairs in a place with long waits, elderly customers, and others who can't or don't want to stand for what sometime seem to be an eternity. Phone waits are also very long...two days in a row I waited more than 20 minutes...giving up once, which I think is what they want. Seemingly, they'd rather have you online or in store. Now, what may drive me to another carrier after always using Verizon. I like my old I phone 5s, so I've kept it. But, recently it seems to be having issues, so when an ad came on during the game I'm watching saying customers can trade in their old phone for a new one at no cost, I called the closest store to confirm. After a more than 20 minute wait, I was told my phone is too old to have any trade in value. In other words, after something like 35 years with Verizon, many with 2 phones, they won't offer me a penny. If/when you see the ad, you'll know how deceptive it is. As I write this, I'm on hold to see if the "escalation team" can help me. Total time so far, ONE HOUR and four minutes. I give up...probably just what they want us to do when we have issues/problems. Remember, the in store folks are excellent, but expect no help on the phone. read more

Where to start. Hmmm. Ok. I have been with AT&T for over 10 years and have finally decided to change carriers which with 4 phones and the international travel I do it was a stressful event. Having said all that, Derek did a great job and although it was a little long to get everything transferred over, he was very knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining everything to me. The whole process is something I have been considering for months and dreading worse than a visit to the dentist. Derek made it pretty painless though, thanks! They have a huge selection of phones, cases, charges and other items too like headphones and wireless speakers. Verizon shipped an item to the wrong address that we really needed. We then worked with their corp business group to get the items sent to this store in Lafayette. We had our employee scheduled to pickup the items. When she arrived, the items weren't there. I was speaking with Robert who said they didn't have the order, that we only had an appointment. I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager. I explained the problem and asked who I needed to speak with, he told me call my business rep, i explained he was off today. I then asked to speak with the regional manager who he said was Erin but he wouldn't connect me. He then proceeded to tell me the issue was on our side and we needed to fix it and he wouldn't do anything without the order then hung up on me. Worst customer service EVER! I would suggest trying any other Verizon store than this one. I live in GA but was working or trying to work with the Lafayette, LA location. I can tell you with certainty that the Louisiana Store has the rudest people and a horrible Manager! read more

This verizon location is absolutely horrible. I wanted to switch from tmobile but thanks to the extremely rude ghetto female manager I realized how much I under appreciated my tmobile customer service reps. After reading the other reviews idk how this woman still has a job. I saw 3 other reviews where would be customers went to other carriers due to poor service at this location. That is roughly estimated $12,000 in sales she lost for the company (if each customer got a $800 handset and signed up for a 2 year agreement.) I hope someone does the right thing and sends her lazy butt back to McDonald's so all the people at this location do not end up jobless when they go out of business due to poor management. read more

My husband needed a new phone today and was lucky enough to be helped by the manager, April L. He got a phone at a very reasonable price, and she was able to resuscitate his old one long enough to transfer his contacts and other information. She even walked our to his car and paired the WiFi on the new phone with that on his car. Great service! read more

My mother in-law, who is 87 years old with poor eyesight, hard of hearing, and does not drive, needed a new phone. She has had Verizon service for over 20years, so we thought that we would take a drive to the Verizon retailer on Ambassador Caffery in Lafayette. It's a 30 minute drive through very heavy traffic from my house to this Verizon. As per the website, we had made an appointment 1:00pm on July, 7, 2020 (nobody would answer the phone when we had tried to call). We arrived promptly with our masks in place. A man who was 40ish, came out of the building (he never let us enter the building). We told him of her need and that she needed assistance from me. He said that there were no phones to look at, that he could order one. She needed to look at one to see if it was right for her. He absolutely would not let me enter with her. While he was refusing to let me enter with her I noticed three women leave the store together. There were absolutely no other customers in the store! His manners were curt, rude, and never once helpful! And the mask he was wearing was absolutely worthless, as it had ventilation holes over his nose! My mother in-law, who rarely looses her cool was very angry and is seriously considering changing providers. I would never recommend this store. read more
